My Items Can Upgrade-Chapter 363 - 186: Massacre Unleashed (Part 4)
Without Jiang Yiyi, the super radar, by his side, he could not detect enemies in advance, but he was very sensitive to malice.
Arrows were like powerful bombs, each one terrifyingly accurate, hitting targets precisely and causing tremendous destruction.
The atmosphere of slaughter filled the air, suffocating everyone.
Under the flurry of Yang Yuan’s arrows, those lurking evildoers stood no chance, shot into pieces, blood and flesh blossoming like hellish fireworks.
The scene was terrifying beyond compare, the carnage oozing dread.
In Yang Yuan’s eyes, there was a glint of coldness; he felt no mercy for these ill-intentioned intruders.
Among these people, many had been present since the first day.
Yet they had never made a move, probably waiting for him to gather enough Spirit Monster Cores before attacking.
Predictably, by the third day, some could no longer restrain themselves.
They were the ones who struck first, launching an assault on him.
Now, he was merely retaliating, repaying coldly in kind.
Though this Creation Continent has become a semi-finished Game World, it remains a cruel and unjust world where only the strong survive.
As the last bandit was shot by Yang Yuan, exploding mid-air, the shockwave flattened the entire area.
The battlefield fell into a deathly silence.
What was once desolate yet relatively flat desert was now a landscape of pitted craters.
Within a radius of ten thousand meters lay countless hundred-meter-wide craters.
The surroundings of the craters were dyed red with a mist of blood.
The stench of blood permeated the air, instilling fear in every heart.
Yang Yuan put away the crossbow arrow, gazing at the scene with a serene expression.
Having been in this world not for a short time, he had long become accustomed to such slaughter.
Among these people, some had hidden for days, attempting to steal the Spirit Monster Core from his hand, and perhaps even other Marvels.
Yet, being weaker than him, they were slaughtered entirely by his hand.
Several thousand people, not a single one left alive.
"It’s a pity. Perhaps these people came with robbery in mind from the start, bringing almost no treasures... Well, weapons are treasures too, but unfortunately, they were all blown to bits."
Yang Yuan looked around and, seeing no spoils, prepared to leave.
"These people were being used."
A voice suddenly sounded behind Yang Yuan, causing him to spin around swiftly.
From over ten thousand meters away, a silhouette approached with lightning speed as if teleporting.
He wore a black robe, a mask concealing his real face.
As he spoke, his voice was deep and cold.
Yang Yuan squinted at this person, myriad thoughts flashing through his mind.
"Who are you?" He didn’t rush to attack, as he didn’t sense any malice from the other.
Yet, the opponent’s strength was not weak, Earth’s Limit, but hadn’t ascended to a higher continent.
This led him to a suspicion that perhaps this person was part of Creation Continent’s upper echelons.
Was he finally going to make contact with this level?
The black-robed man stood quietly, seemingly pondering something.
After a moment, he slowly spoke, "I am merely a seeker of truth. These people were used, and I believe you have guessed some of it. Under normal circumstances, since they knew you are an NPC, they wouldn’t foolishly attack you, for NPCs are protected by game rules, belonging, in a way, to the Undying Body."
Yang Yuan frowned. This indeed was a perplexing point.
Those guys were clearly players as well, yet they attacked him, knowing he now belonged to an NPC status, surely under game rules protection, and still attacked him.
No matter how you think about it, it feels strange.
"A powerful force is backing these people. Their target is not only your treasures but other secrets as well. If you do not seek the truth, you may fall into even greater danger," said the black-robed man.
"Speak plainly, are you part of Creation Continent’s upper management? Is this semi-completed game under your control?" Yang Yuan asked.
He wasn’t one with a strong curiosity, and to some extent, he could be considered someone without a stance; whoever crossed him, he would kill them.
No matter if they were Human Race or an alien race.
Yet, the black-robed man didn’t admit to being part of Creation Continent’s upper ranks, but instead said, "If you wish to know the truth, then come with me."
Upon saying this, he turned and left directly, as if sure Yang Yuan would follow.
Yang Yuan frowned slightly, puzzled.
Suddenly, a moment of clarity flashed in his heart: ’If he truly were Creation Continent’s upper rank, why such disguise? So those people, were they being used by him? Almost fooled!’
This thought flashed across his mind, and without hesitation, he raised his arm.
"Wait..."
The black-robed man ahead sensed the killing intent and turned sharply.
But it was already too late.
A flash of light streaked past.
"Boom—"
The black-robed man was instantly shot blown apart in mid-air.
What Earth’s Limit.
In front of the Golden Arm Crossbow, all are trash.
"Is there still anyone lurking?" 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Yang Yuan glanced around and said softly, "Don’t try to drag me into your vortex; I don’t want to get involved now; don’t bring trouble upon yourself."
Having said that, he left here without hesitation.
