My Life In A Fantasy, Women-Dominated World-Chapter 106: One Singular Man
Sanguini.
A medium grade guild with decent power and sufficient backing considering that it was based on a tier 3 city like Snombi.
It was the guild that was the cause of Claire getting hospitalized, though all things considered, it was her fault that things escalated to that point.
But regardless of the reasons, the relationship between the guild and Claire’s team was rocky at best.
Just as her team had noticed the red uniformed ladies, they noticed Claire as well.
Some laughed directly, not worrying about any mutual respect or giving face to a person of her strength, while the others were more subtle.
Though, it wasn’t hard to guess their conversations even when nothing was audible.
"They look like they are having fun." Jaq commented coldly, her playful and happy-go-lucky attitude was nowhere to be found as she glared at the 10 members of Sanguini.
"It would suck really bad if we suddenly ruined their fun, won’t it?" Claire hissed with a similar tone, especially when she remembered the humiliation and pain she had to suffer because of it.
"Shut." Lia, always the voice of reason, bonked Jaq on the head and clicked her tongue, "Let’s not make our tasks more difficult. We already have a huge list to complete if we want to maximize our profits."
"Bold of you to assume they won’t sabotage our tasks," Katie added.
"They cannot." Eva shook her head, "Not for official missions, at least. We can file an official complaint if they do so."
"Officialities, yea right." Katie spat in response, "Bold of you to assume that they will even care about us in front of a guild."
Claire’s eyes shifted at Katie’s words, "Bold of you to assume that holding a mere guild title is enough to supersede our authority." she mimicked in Katie’s style.
The entire group laughed at Claire’s response, nodding to themselves proudly.
But Claire was no hot headed leader– not when sober, at least– as she managed to ignore the snickering bloody guild and refocused on the UHRA building.
"Let’s submit our requests and get the permits, no point wasting time." she said calmly, not even mentioning about the troublesome guild.
Throughout the whole discussion, Aaron remained quiet, observing the dynamics and storing all the information in his brain. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
He was still unknown about many intricacies of this world, and despite letting Claire and Eva know about his secrets, he had no intentions of broadcasting them to the rest.
Simply following along with the group, he walked into the huge building, noticing the big difference between the inside and outside.
AC was running, maintaining the temperature at a cozy degree and the atmosphere appeared to be a perfect mix of calmness and urgency.
Calmness from the workers and urgency from the raiders such as his own group.
Many such raiders were lounging in the building, some chatting on the waiting couches, some standing in the queues and some simply roaming around aimlessly, hoping to have any fateful encounter with a bigshot.
And with a single look, Aaron realized how out of depth he was.
There were at least 10 teams within the building at the current time, and among them all, he only found one. One singular man.
And even he didn’t appear to be strong or experienced, but rather had a huge build with big muscles, carrying a giant bag that felt like it must be very heavy.
He was no raider. But rather an eye candy for the women of the group, as they were having fun lounging on the couches and teasing him as he sat between them silently.
Clearly, he was a porter for the group, one they didn’t even need but brought along for shits and giggles.
And as obvious, Aaron’s entry caused a shift within the whole hallroom.
The women gaped looking at him, some of them turning their heads many times to make sure that he was a real man.
Quite a few eyes landed on the weapon between his legs as well, which had an obvious bump against his jeans, proving him to be a proud owner of manhood.
Some of the groups were so stunned that Claire didn’t even need to put any real effort into cutting the queue, easily slipping at the front before sneaking her teammates alongside.
Finally when she felt like no one could accuse her of cutting the queue, she smiled brightly at Aaron and called him over.
Grinning at the attention of so many ladies at once, Aaron walked towards Claire and stood into the queue beside her.
And surprisingly, the raid party that Claire had shamelessly cut over didn’t even seem to be mad about it.
Hell, they seemed more amused than angered.
"Is that man also a part of your team?" a young woman, nearly 30 years old, asked Jaq who was standing in front of her.
"Obviously, duh." Jaq turned around, lips curling into an amused smirk.
The woman’s mouth parted into an ’O’, "For real?" she mumbled rhetorically.
"Yes." Lia replied calmly.
"What class?! This is so rare to see a male on such higher missions! And he looks handsome to boo-"
The woman quickly shut her mouth when she felt two cold gazes land on her, first was obviously from Claire who wrapped her arm tighter around Aaron, showing her possessiveness.
And the other was from Eva, which went against her playful personality, but she didn’t care at the moment.
"Classes are private information, miss. I think you haven’t seen many males in higher missions since you’re still slightly new. It’s rare but not unseen." Eva commented flatly.
Her words were a slight lowblow, implying that the woman lacked the tact of the craft, asking questions that shouldn’t be asked and reacting too exaggeratedly.
She understood the same, closing her mouth in displeasure, opting not to start another chat with the young group ahead of her.
And thus, Claire’s turn came next.
At the reception was a young man, his cheeks having traces of acne and hair messy with eyebags under his eyes as if he hadn’t gotten a good sleep for a long while.
"Copy of IDs and the official mission slip, please." he said in an exhausted tone.
