My Lust System: I Inherited The Sin Of Lust And His Three Wives-Chapter 70: Crazy Ex and Her Crazy Boyfriend
Damian’s eyelids flipped open as he returned to the familiar sight of his office, dyed amber by the rays of the setting sun pouring in from the window wall behind him. From his chair, he could hear almost everything happening between the 18th floor and perhaps the 22nd or 23rd. He wasn’t entirely sure.
Regardless, this was one of the main reasons he wanted an isolated place to live with his wives. A place where they wouldn’t have to constantly tune out the world just to avoid hearing people breathe.
Ding! Ding!
Damian’s phone buzzed. He picked it up and was immediately greeted by the distant sound of traffic, followed by Hazel and Ruby laughing somewhere in the background.
"Errm... we are going shopping for things we need in the kitchen because we are having a visitor over soon. Hazel said we need to look normal so we don’t scare her off." Racheal’s low voice came through the phone, causing a smile to bloom across his face.
"Alright, dear. Make sure to get something nice for yourself and the others, okay?" he said in a low, soothing tone.
"Mmhmm..." Racheal nodded softly.
"I’ll be back late tonight. I’ll pay Clara a visit, then Twenty, and finally Breezy’s mother by midnight. I would love it if you kept yourself warm and ready when I return. Just the two of us."
Damian could hear Racheal’s breathing grow heavier over the phone as she squeezed out a shy "I will" before abruptly ending the call. He chuckled at her shyness, smiling ear to ear at the thought of visiting her room later that night.
To avoid being overwhelmed by his eternally stimulated wives, who would happily fuck him twenty four hours a day and seven days a week, he had them choose separate rooms in their new home and decorate them however they pleased.
Now he could either invite them or visit them individually. This arrangement would give him the space he needed to better adjust to his rapidly changing life.
"Maybe after Racheal, I’ll have Hazel and Ruby in the morning so they don’t feel ignored. Then we’ll come to work and start moving to a bigger office."
Damian rose to his feet and picked up his blazer. After turning off the lights and air conditioner, he walked toward the door. Just as his hand reached the doorknob, he paused. The elevator on his floor had opened.
Normally, this would mean nothing.
But the breathing of the person who stepped out was haggard and fierce, like someone barely holding back a storm of pent up emotions.
From his office, Damian could smell the feeling of betrayal. It was layered with envy and coated in entitlement. A chaotic storm of emotion was marching straight toward his office.
’Maybe I should just unleash Ruby on her and put an end to this drama. You can’t be evil and still be a sore loser.’ Damian sighed.
What Candice failed to understand was that the current him was far more demon than human. He had no shred of sympathy left for humans, especially people like her. He simply wasn’t the type of monster who walked around killing anyone that looked at him the wrong way. However, if he was given a reason to end someone, he would do so without a second thought.
And right now, Candice was dangerously close to giving him that reason.
Letting out an exhausted sigh, he opened the door. At the far end of the corridor stood Candice, staring at him with tearful eyes. Her makeup had been smeared by tears.
"Damian..." she choked between sobs the moment she saw him and began running toward him, clearly intending to throw herself into his arms.
Damian stared at her approaching figure for a moment with a dull expression. Then he calmly turned his back on her and began locking his office door.
"There are cameras in the corridors and hallways. Unless you want to be accused of sexually assaulting a married junior partner on his first day, I suggest you keep your hands to yourself."
Damian’s voice was cold and surgical. The tone alone stopped Candice in her tracks and drained the color from her face.
Then something happened that Damian never expected.
She fell to her knees.
She begged.
"Please take me back. I don’t mind that you have a wife... I don’t care if you have other girlfriends. Just give what we had another chance."
Candice’s desperate display earned nothing more than a dull glance.
Damian said nothing.
He simply finished locking his door and walked around her as though she didn’t exist. With everything currently happening in his life, he refused to give Candice even a single second of his attention.
"No... no... wait!"
Candice sprang to her feet and chased after him. She reached out to grab his shoulder.
At that exact moment, an invisible force burst from Damian’s body and slammed into her.
"Aaaahhh!"
She screamed as the force jolted her backward. Her footing slipped and she crashed down hard on her butt with a loud thud.
Damian didn’t look back. He simply kept walking as if nothing had happened.
To human eyes, demonic force was invisible, so he wasn’t worried about the CCTV cameras. What they would see was Candice running toward him and then suddenly falling backward without the two of them ever making contact.
At that moment, Adrian appeared from the other end of the corridor, his face burning with rage. The instant he saw Candice on the ground, her face twisted in pain as she clutched her hips, his anger exploded.
Without asking a single question, he charged at Damian.
"Bastard!"
"Idiot, wait!" Candice cried out in panic.
All her efforts to repair her relationship with Damian would be ruined if Adrian beat him up.
Adrian closed the distance in seconds and swung violently.
However, Damian simply slid past the punch with effortless precision, circling around him before continuing his casual walk away as if Adrian were nothing but air.
With his stats already above twelve compared to the human cap of five, he could easily run laps around this man. If he wanted to, he could slap Adrian to death with nothing but his bare hands, even if the man carried a gun.
Adrian was not even worthy of his gaze.
Grinding his teeth in humiliation, Adrian jumped to his feet and charged again, swinging at Damian’s exposed back.
"Hmph."
Damian snorted disdainfully as he stepped slightly to the left and watched Adrian rush past him again. He expected the man to trip and crash face first onto the floor.
But that didn’t happen.
Instead, Adrian recovered using a strange footwork pattern. Within seconds he turned and launched another punch while Damian’s back was pressed against the wall.
Even then, Damian remained unimpressed.
Despite being in what appeared to be a defenseless position, Damian slipped beneath the incoming punch while his demonic force whipped around Adrian’s feet.
The invisible strike knocked him completely off balance.
Adrian crashed headfirst into the wall with such force that he lost consciousness instantly and collapsed onto the floor.
Damian could hear Candice screaming in panic as she called for help.
Even then, he said nothing.
He simply continued walking away without sparing them a single glance.
