Han Li was revived.

He woke up one day on "Earth" and began living a very normal life there. For some reason, he regained his memories of his true life pretty early on.

And the Lust Dao—which was a part of himself was along with him.

Then, he lived with all the burdens for another lifetime. He was very blank, emotionless, and cold to everything.

School, University, Work. Normal life on Earth.

Illusions. All of these are illusions. I want this to end; maybe I should try dying in this illusion, too.

But he didn't commit suicide. That was not following his heart.

He didn't like that prospect.

Throughout the illusionary dream, he met many of his women, but he didn't bother with any. He had had enough of this illusion.

Let them live and let him die but not be killed. Let the illusion end, and let the reality begin. Kill. Kill. Kill.

Fei Fei…

Han Li broke the mirror before him with a punch, and blood oozed out of his fist.

Crack.

The wall behind the mirror also cracked lightly.

Life moved on.

One thing made him surprised. He had the lifespan of a simple mortal in this life too, even though he was an Evolved.

I wish I could live and die how I pleased.

As he grew old again, he ended up gathering all the women he met in this life—Ruo, Hua Yu, and Liyue—who had no memories of the previous illusions. They acted as if this was their first rodeo at living. Only on novelbuddy

Old with all three of those women surrounding him, he shook his head inwardly. He had just grown colder due to this lifetime.

This all lacked meaning. Only eternal life and full control over it mattered.

Illusions.

He hated it; he did.

Han Li died with a sigh.

Fei Fei...

He lived hundreds of lives from then on and as many deaths, his face grew more and more cold. Why wasn't the illusion breaking?

Break. Break. Break. Break. Break.

Break already.

As he coldly walked amidst a war zone, he met a woman. She looked like a stranger. Pretty face, pretty eyes, pretty black hair, pretty everything.

He looked at her with disbelief.

He had never seen the woman. He never had any relationship with her, but for some reason, looking at her calmed his chaotic soul.

He sat down with a painful grimace and embraced her.

"Mom…" he called in disbelief.

After Yue Li died in the first illusion, she had never been there in any other illusions. He had always been an orphan in all the lives he had lived. But for some reason, he was sure, the clueless, dumb-faced woman sleeping amidst this warzone—she couldn't be anyone but her.

The golden halo over her Existence that he had seen on no one else but her. That was enough confirmation. She looked at him strangely, "Let me sleep. Where am I?"

Han Li awkwardly shifted in his place. "You are in a warzone."

She scratched her head. "Oh… a truck hit me, and I died, though. Oh shit, was I isekaied?"

Han Li nearly burst into laughter. "I know exactly what I want. I know what my ambitions are, why they are there and how much I want it."

It was time.

A poem came to his mind.

I've seen the most beautiful flowers, but they all smell the same.

I got to see the most beautiful places in the world, but the wind winded same everywhere.

Only in your presence, the wind whispered a fragrance to the flower,

a scent untold anywhere else.

Fuck illusions. He was breaking out.

Red eyes glinted with unshed tears as everything broke apart and turned to smoke.

Han Li opened his eyes to the real world.

Clouds drifted up in the skies, and a sense of incredible reality immediately spread throughout his being. He was sleeping above a watery substance. The illusionary life in his mind vanished one after the other, and his confused mind became incredibly vivid.

Before him, the Spirit floated gently in its semi-transparent form.

"I told you not to grow attached," she said with a sigh.

Han Li gritted his teeth, but his tears couldn't help but fall.

The Spirit sighed again. "Crying is of no use."

Han Li felt Ruo's weight against his chest and smelled Liyue's scent. He felt Yue Li just near him. There was also Hua Yu. All of them were just beside him. They were real and lifelike. Most probably, they remembered everything in the illusion.

"Am I in the real world?" he asked, pushing back his hair with an anxious expression.

Suddenly, Yue Li woke up with a start and sat up. Seeing Han Li's red eyes, she calmed down and stretched.

"Xiao Li… I feel like I slept forever…"

Han Li held her hand.

Ruo was sleeping against his chest, but slowly, her blurry eyes opened, and she looked straight at him with a sharpness the girl had lacked before.

Han Li looked at her with a complicated expression.

The girl blinked for a second before she clenched his collar. "My Fei Fei. I want her!"

She sounded more desperate than threatening.

Han Li looked up at the skies. "So, indeed, you were there, experiencing my memories and other fragmented realities as illusions."

She had experienced everything as the Ruo of his memories while being herself. She had seen all that had to be seen in one way or the other.

He wondered what kind of memories she had gotten from the Ruo of the past life…

Ruo seemed to be near a panic attack; she kept muttering Fei Fei again and again. Han Li was silent for a second, and as he closed his eyes, a tear streaked down his cheek.

Ruo nearly burst with fear.

"Don't be confused. These are not tears of grief, Ruo…" he said and rubbed off his tears. His strong aura was now wavering with gentleness and fear, but there was hope; there was genuine gratefulness to his expression.

All of the women surrounding him looked at the scene in silence.

Out of all the illusions, only the one with the Little Tyrant was so life-changing. The rest were all just fading from their minds.

The Spirit took a deep breath. "So, did you all gain your Vital Weapons?"

Han Li, Hua Yu, Liyue, Yue Li, Ruo, and the Spirit. Only these many had been inside the memory scape of illusions and the Vital Enlightenment. They were going to gain a Vital Weapon of their own if they survived without losing their heart.

They just needed to figure out what their heart wanted deep down in each life. As long as it was the same thing in every life, their Vital Weapon would awaken.

In all of Han Li's innumerable lives inside the illusion, he only had one dream. To not lose people to death and to not be incapable of doing anything.

Hua Yu and Liyue lowered their heads. "I didn't get anything… It's just not there." Liyue said, her face downcast. "I failed to get it."

Hua Yu nodded with a sigh.

Yue Li seemed to understand Ruo's and Han Li's mood and she didn't say anything and just watched her kids.

Han Li spread his hands wide at the sky.

They were above a calm ocean-like place with no waves. They were sleeping above mythical waters that acted like land. The waters reflected the sky. It was beautiful.

Suddenly, a woman materialized out of thin air beside them all and everyone, including the Spirit, stared at her with wide eyes. The girl was of utmost beauty and there was a sort of arrogance to her face that seemed etched in her bones.

White hair tumbled behind her while a katana rested on her hips. She was in a black kimono, and her eyes disdainfully glanced at everyone around before they focused on Han Li and Ruo.

She kicked her father on the side, "What are you laying down there for?"

"Who are you kicking?" he asked irritably.

Both of them suddenly couldn't stop their chuckling, and Ruo looked nervously between them.

The Spirit asked with fear, "What is going on?"

Han Fei looked straight at it with curious eyes. "An Existence? Funny sight."

Han Li looked at the calmly floating clouds.

He could already feel Liyue's and his Mother's eyes staring daggers at his neck. They were going to kill him.

"She is Han Fei. My first daughter and my Vital Weapon."

Liyue looked away in absolute anger. Yue Li was a bit awkward, Hua Yu was curious, and the Spirit was just in shock.

Han Fei stared around in curiosity. "A Funny—"

"Shut up, and don't add oil to the fire."

He unsummoned her.

The girl was back in his Empty Space now. He could hear her stifled scream full of irritation, but she'd have to wait.

Yue Li looked at him and asked, "So, is that my grandchild?"

Han Li smiled awkwardly.

"So, she's Ruo's child?" she asked.

Ruo remained silent throughout, and she finally seemed to understand the scenario. She silently unclenched his collar, and he could see the sheer sense of relief in her eyes. The girl slid out of his embrace and hugged her knees above the water.

Her face was as red as a tomato, nearly steaming, and she hid it.

Liyue asked, clearly annoyed, "And you said you'd never sleep with him. And you betrayed your nicest big sister by having his first daughter."

"Things ended up happening…" Ruo said with a mosquito-like sound.

"So you are part of his harem now?"

"Obviously not," she said, her voice even more faint.

Han Li chuckled dryly.

"Mom, I am so blessed," he said with a sigh.

Yue Li was keeping his head on her lap. She looked at his distant red eyes.

"Is this even real, or am I in an illusion again?" he asked fearfully.

Yue Li waved her hand, and a blue Rainwater Spark appeared on her palm.

"Ah, this was not working in the illusion, but it is now. So this is certainly real."

"What's your opinion on your new granddaughter?"

"She is pretty."

"You like her?"

"Don't know," Yue Li puffed her cheeks. "I wanted to have that first child."

"You are cute. I feel like smothering you."

"Do that now, and I might like your daughter."

Han Li did exactly that, and she giggled as he tickled her.

"So, did you get a Vital Weapon?"

"Oh, I did."

"Me too…" Ruo muttered from the side.

Liyue looked up at the sky with a sad expression.

Hua Yu sighed.

The Spirit finally seemed to have woken up and said with absolute fear. "How the heck is your Vital Weapon alive, and why the fuck is it your daughter? And tell me what happened inside your illusion…"

This was wrong on so many levels.

She felt her whole worldview shaking.

And what powers did their Vital Weapons have?

She remembered seeing Yue Li die inside the first Illusion. How could she, of all people, gain a vital weapon?

This Vital Enlightenment was not at all like the ones she knew.

Han Li just chuckled a long, weary laugh.

His life had treated him well for the first time.

This was the luckiest he had ever been.

Deciding to have Han Fei was an impulsive decision, but in the end, it seemed like it was for the good. Ruo hid her face with her hand and looked at him through the slits of her fingers.

She really wanted her daughter. Wanted to hug her now.

But Ruo was too embarrassed.

The Spirit said seriously, "We need more clarity!"

Han Li just blankly stared at the skies. He was still digesting everything, and his daughter's shouts kept echoing in his mind.

"LET~ ME OUT!" she was doing a little monkey dance inside the Empty Space and calling it out like a prayer. "LET ME OUT!"

"OI OI LET ME OUT!"

"HEY HEY LET ME OUT!"

Han Li was just speechless.

"OI OI~ LET ME OUT!"

These people were so ridiculous. Silently, he felt his heart slowly calm down. Now, it was time to calculate all the benefits of this unexpected event and discipline his unruly daughter.

Also, he had to make others in his harem accept her.

Also…

Shit, I have so much to do.

Also—

He was in a mystical sea where no one could sink. There was a reason he had chosen this place to teleport into.

Ruo glared at him ominously. She really seemed to want her daughter.

"Okay, okay, I'll let her out…"

Subconsciously, Han Li's hand was clenched tightly. He had won in life.

He just had to continue winning now.
