My Perfect Revenge: Flash Marriage With My Vampire Tycoon-Chapter 142: – Please Stop! –
Lucia was unconscious. And her head was bleeding. "No, no, no, no. Please no!" He rushed out of the sun and dropped to his knees, settling her to properly look her over.
She was still breathing, but she wasn’t responding.
Due to being a born half human, half vampire, she didn’t have a problem with the sun. But she was still too young. Unlike people like him and Nikolas, she was too small to be able to heal when she got hurt.
What was going on?
How did she get here? What about Francesca? Was she aware that this girl was gone? But the thought only worsened his fear. Francecsa must not have an idea, and if that is so, did it mean something was wrong with Francesca too.
She’d been in a strange condition before he left. What if...
Lucian felt like he was going mad.
Taking this opportunity of Fernando being distracted, Viviana shot to her feet, to run over to Nikolas while taking her coat off in the process. However, before she could get close enough to put the coat over him, a shot was fired and she came to a stop.
Her lashes flickered.
Nikolas stared at her. What had just happened? His gaze shifted to her shoulder, watching as blood quickly soaked her white dirty shirt.
"Nikolas..." she mumbled his name, before her knees gave out. But even as she’d fallen, she tried to crawl to him, however, how could she, when he was still at least fifty steps. away from her. "Nikolas, I... I..." She groaned as her hand gave out, shoulder bleeding profusely.
"Why did you shoot her?" Fernando glared at the vampire whose job was to keep her still.
The vampire frowned. "Well, she was going to run! What did you want me to do? Let her get to him?"
Fernando glared over at Viviana who was no longer able to push herself off the concrete ground.
Nikolas struggled as well, but the man almost couldn’t move. His face was twisted in so much horror, the annoyance Fernando just felt vanished.
"This is not how I wanted all these to turn out, but you two are very stubborn," as he said, as he began walking towards Viviana. "You wanted to shield him from the sun with this jacket of yours?" His eyes shifted to the jacket Viviana still held.
He looked at Nikolas, and laughed. "A vampire like you, powerful, but you’re going to stay down there and watch her bleed to death? Quite pathetic. She might not even get to see you burn down to nothing."
He gripped Viviana by the arm, pulling her up. Her hair hung in her face.
Nikolas’s gaze was cast to the floor. It was almost as if he was unable to look up in shame for the lack of being able to protect the woman he loved.
Fernando shook his head, clicking his head. "What a shame. Such a shame." He turned to take Viviana back to their original spot—
"Who decided that?"
The sudden words brought him to a halt. He froze. Then he slowly turned around. "What?"
"No choice but to watch her bleed to death? I asked you, who decided that?" Nikolas spat out the blood in his mouth, and despite his hands that had physically begun burning, he began to rise to his feet, pushing himself to his limit.
Everyone froze, that included Lucian who was holding onto his daughter. He knew very well that under no circumstances should Nikolas have been able to rise up again. He was more than half dead at this point. How could he?
Fernando’s pupils shrunk in pure fright. "Impossible."
"The sun?" Nikolas chuckled under his breath. He was still clearly in absolute pain. "It’s my weakness, the vulnerability that can kill me, but so what?"
Fernando took a subconscious step back, his hand coming off Viviana who dropped to the floor, barely able to keep herself up.
"The sun will burn me, so what?" Nikolas’s lips dragged into a cruel grin. "It wants to stop me and aid this calamity? Who decided that? If it wants to hold me back, then I will be the first to defy the sun itself. I will protect the woman that is mine, the woman that I love, and I assure you, the sun cannot stop me, not even it costs me the last breath I’ll take."
"Do you think I’m unwilling to destroy myself in the process?" The air stilled, turning so chilly, they all shivered. "Well then watch me. See how far love can blind one, how insane it can drive you. Watch how far I can go for her. Dying for her is nothing, really. There is no length to which I wouldn’t go."
"Nikolas, stop!" Lucian yelled at him. "Don’t do it! Once you go beserk this way, you will lose yourself and you will never be able to get yourself back again. NIKOLAS stop it!"
At this point, it was as if Nikolas wasn’t hearing anyone anymore.
Viviana didn’t need to be told to know that whatever Nikolas was about to do would destroy him. Alongside Lucian, she tried to stop him. "Nikolas, don’t do it. Listen to me, don’t do it. Don’t you love me? Stay with me, please."
A reddish glow seeped from the ground at his feet, rising in waves, curling and twisting like smoke around him. The aura climbed higher, higher and higher, wrapping his body and cloaking him.
He didn’t look at her, but he was saying. "I will show you what it’s like for a man like me to love. How far I can go."
His head tilted back, lips parting as his eyes shifted, no longer human in any way. He didn’t feel like himself anymore and Viviana knew that the man she loved was leaving her.
"No, no, please stop him!" She crawled desperately towards him, reaching out a hand to grab at his ankle, the smoke of aura however, wrapped around her firmly, picking her off the floor. It sent her farther from him, gently putting her to the concrete floor and blocking her to see that she came nowhere close to him.
"Nikolas! Nikolas, please stop. Don’t do this to me! You can’t leave me. Stop it!"
