My Soul card is a Reaper-Chapter 945: The End of Azazel
An invisible spell struck Azazel at an impossible speed. Azazel didn’t even get to sense the attack, and in the matter of a second, he froze mid-growl. And then his demonic armor shattered into dust.
His wings stiffened, unable to flap anymore.
His body hung there— alive but utterly immobilized. And his eyes went into a trance, similar to the state while Orion preached.
Alexander didn’t give him any chance to get out of that illusory realm he was sent into, and lifted his right hand. His fingers then curved like he was grasping something invisible.
"Soul Capture, Activate."
A translucent, radiant hand exploded outward from his palm and pierced straight through Azazel’s chest.
"GYAAAAAAAHHH—!"
Azazel shrieked, returning to reality again. However, his soul began to separate from his body like smoke pulled from a flame.
Yet, those still half-submerged in Orion’s golden tranquility didn’t even react. But some reacted.
Amon’s eyes widened.
Ren Tianyu’s breath hitched.
"Brother!" Amon roared, surging forward. His wings flared as he tried to charge to Azazel, in order to save him. But he didn’t get far as scorching fireball, white-hot and streaked with gold, blasted at his back.
BOOOOM!
Amon twisted in midair just in time as his body moved in reflex, the flames grazing past him and detonating behind his back.
Heat washed over him like a furnace.
He whipped his head around and saw Ren Tianyu with his glaive humming with power, and his Arcana spirit, the Emperor Qilin, floating behind him in silence, but ready to attack at any time.
Ren Tianyu, maintaining a poker face, spoke while raising the glaive and pointing at the demon. "Your opponent is me."
Amon snarled, baring his teeth. "Move, mortal! My brother—!"
But Tianyu’s aura surged like a tidal wave, and the Qilin roared behind him as flames shaped like dragons spiraled outward.
The pressure forced Amon backward mid-flight, buckling his wings for an instant. He growled, flexing his demonic muscles, "You damn mortal..."
But the human stood unshaken. Tianyu and his Emperor Qilin charged at him in blurring speed.
Both of them clashed, generating a shockwave in the surroundings, causing more damage, but the people down below still continued to kneel.

Meanwhile, Azazel screamed, feeling as if he was burning in the blazing flames of hell. Even with his demonic power forcibly boosted to its upper limit, nothing changed. He could only resist to some extent and not nullify Alexander’s skill.
Alexander’s translucent hand was inside his chest, gripping his essence and continuing to pull away his soul. Azazel’s was now halfway out of his body, shape flickering like a torn shadow.
Every pull tore a fresh scream out of him.
"GAAAAAHH— MORTAL! STOP—!"
Alexander ignored him, his expression turning bored as he flicked through holographic screen no one else could see.
With a thought in his mind, he scrolled it down in the Skills section, stopping eventually at one.
His eyes sharpened. "This... Yup... Let’s just be done with it."
He tapped an icon.
"Activate, The Ultimate Skill — Third Eye of Shiva."
His forehead split open at once. And a vertical slit appeared, glowing deep violet.
Then— the Third Eye snapped open.
A monstrous surge of power erupted from Alexander, almost knocking the clouds aside. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Divine fire and Primordial darkness wrapped around him at the same time, forming a spiraling vortex around his body.
Amon’s eyes widened in terror even more, realizing that the human has no interest in pulling out Azazel’s soul. He intends to eliminate the fallen angel along with its soul altogether. After all, a half-way pulled soul is the most vulnerable soul ever. It neither has the typical immortality nor can it have the freedom to move. In this case, when a body was destroyed in such a moment, the soul will be extinguished along.
"No—no—WAIT!" Amon roared. Emperor Qilin’s horns then struck Amon straight in his abdomen, blasting him to the building down below.
Alexander, meanwhile, was seen trembling a bit as his aura was going slightly out of control. He clenched his fists, his muscles tightened and he shut his two eyes too, trying his best to control his strength.
And then, the third eye on his forehead, finally unleashed a beam— a thin, pitch-black flame concentrated so densely it carved the air like a blade.
FSSSSSHHHHHKK—!!
The beam struck Azazel directly in the center of his chest.
*GRAAAAAH*
His scream pierced the heavens. But the next moment, the voice died. His flesh burned instantly. His wings disintegrated. His demonic armor evaporated.
His soul, half-pulled out, was slowly dissipating into specks of light
Amon roared in agony from the ground, "BROTHER!!!"
He flapped his wings to charge in Azazel’s direction, but Tianyu blocked Amon’s path again and struck him with his glaive.
Up above— Azazel’s entire body was consumed in the black flame.
In less than ten seconds, his entire physical form crumbled into ash.
And what remained was a floating orb, a spirit core just like how monsters in the wild leave behind. However, this one was slightly different as this one contains its pure essence and its powers. And it can be absorbed by anyone, and not just the one who gave the last strike
As the third eye disappeared, leaving behind a scar on his forehead, Alexander exhaled, lowering his hand. "Okay, it’s finally done."
Meanwhile, down below, Amon’s eyes trembled—actual fear flickering across his demonic face as Azazel’s essence orb hovered in Alexander’s hand.
For the first time since his arrival, Amon hesitated. He knew that he wasn’t a match for this mortal with strange powers. Atleast not in this world where his powers are suppressed to just 5%.
Clenching his jaw, he growled, voice echoing across the city like thunder. "I will return humans, and next time... we will reduce you humans to the point that you will fear speaking our name. The next time I return, it will be a war. A full-scale war."
He spread his wings wide, channeling a spell. "Reverse Summoning — Abyss Recall."
A black magic circle expanded beneath him, spreading through the sky like an ink stain.
In the next instant—
WHOOM—
Every demon in Ashenford found chains of darkness wrapped around them. One by one, they were yanked upward into the collapsing seal, disappearing from the city, and returning to their world.
Fshhh— fshhh— fshhh—
Thousands vanished in under twenty seconds.
However, one demon rejected the returning call. One demon remained.
It was Naamah.
She stayed kneeling with her head bowed and posture humble, unmoving even as the heavens shook.
Meanwhile, Orion, floating inside his massive 300-foot Compassionate Buddha form, didn’t even glance at Amon’s escape. He didn’t glance at Alexander. He didn’t glance at the destruction around him.
Or perhaps, he didn’t have the awareness around at all. His entire world was the kneeling demoness before him.
Orion went on and lowered his hand toward her.
Naamah lifted hers, trembling.
"You... wish to come to the other side?" Orion asked softly.
Naamah nodded without hesitation. "I do."
He smiled gently and extended his palm.
She reached...
And at that exact moment, a booming CRACK tore through the sky.
A spear of pure soul energy, spinning violently, shot from behind like a lightning bolt.
BOOOOOM!
It slammed into the Compassionate Buddha’s back from behind, without any warning.
The gigantic avatar jerked backward, and then fractures spiderwebbed across its torso. The serene lotus beneath it dimmed, and the divine light flickered violently.
"Ha!" Orion gasped, his eyes snapping open. Even his own trance was broken alongside some 8-star Rank experts.
Orion then spun around, still floating inside the cracked Compassionate Buddha, and his gaze instantly locked onto the culprit.
Far across the sky, Alexander hovered with a relaxed grin before lifting a hand in casual apology as if it didn’t mean anything. "Sorry, brother."
Before Orion could even speak, Alex vanished.
Fwoop—
He reappeared directly behind Naamah, extending his hand. Chains of golden light erupted from his palm, snaking through the air to wrap around the kneeling demoness.
"Got you—"
But the chains never touched her.
Because a blur cut through the air, faster than lightning.
CLANG—!
Orion appeared in front of Naamah, sweeping his arm outward. His palm intercepted the chains and stopped them cold.
"What is this?" His eyes hardened.
Alex didn’t drop his smile. He simply wiggled his fingers. "What else? I’m capturing an evil demon."
"She is no longer evil," Orion shot back, voice tense.
Alex chuckled softly, shaking his head. "Brother... brother... don’t be naïve. A demon is a demon. They slaughter for sport. They destroy because it’s in their nature."
