My Wife is a Dead Villainess, and I'm Her Living Weapon-Chapter 134: Hard
Chapter 134: Hard
[Talent: Adamant – activated. Elian Reed is now immune to fear and psychological effects so long as the Talent remains active.]
Elian’s body launched forward. Igniting his thrusters with Cinderglass, he weaponized his mass like a battering ram. However, the closer he got to Tide That Roars, the more resistance he felt.
The enemy Tyrant raised his hands, which began to glow with energy. The air around his claws turned semi-solid like plasma. Elian’s body ceased to advance in the next moment.
It was as if he were trying to push against a wall; Elian couldn’t move forward a single inch. His thrusters screamed, his body creaked, but still he remained in place.
"Like that would stop me."
[Talent: Driven – activated. Elian Reed will never lose consciousness in the face of an enemy.]
Bracing his core, Elian opened the compartments on his shoulders and activated one of his most powerful trump cards.
"Blockbuster!"
The signature thunderous roar of metal and fire erupted. Fifty baseball-sized projectiles flew into a supersonic swarm of death! At such a short distance, stopping them was impossible.
Elian saw Tide’s face grimace; he quickly adjusted his arms to cover them with the same blue plasma on his hands. The swarm of pellets slowed down, but like a cloud of locusts, they still ravaged Tide’s entire body.
"Reload."
Smoke and blue blood spattered as Tide tried to withstand the assault. Like a river of bullets, they tore chunks of the Lobster Man’s carapace with them.
Impressive defense.
When the energy pressing against Elian’s body disappeared, he broke into a grin. Lowering his body, he once again detonated his thrusters and raced forward. Sliding on the ground, the golem threw his right arm forward.
But it is not enough.
Pile Revolver’s tip gleamed as it moved to pierce Tide’s chest. The enemy Tyrant, who had yet to recover from the hailstorm of metal, barely had time to respond. However, even without raising his face, his bear-like hand darted like a snake.
"Ho?"
"Lobsters do not need our eyes to see."
With inhumane strength, Pile Revolver was stopped by Tide with only one hand. The Lobster Man grabbed the stake’s tip with his bear-like paw. Elian immediately raised his left hand and aimed to fire Sledgehammer point blank.
But Tide also redirected Elian’s gun arm before it could aim.
The sudden collision of their bodies and actions caused the air between the two warriors to violently shake. However, despite the Elian’s attacks being neutralized, he didn’t worry.
Instead, he pulled the trigger for Pile Bunker with a smile.
BANG!
A Cinderglass cartridge detonated, sending kinetic energy through the stake of Pile Revolver. Tide’s massive hand received such a powerful shock; blood erupted from under his skin as if it had exploded from the inside.
"Ugh!"
Everything from the Lobster man’s hand to his elbow vanished into a violent explosion of flesh, shell, and blue blood. Without stopping, Elian lowered his head and detonated his thrusters. Bayonet grew in length and got pointed for the middle of Tide’s chest.
"What?!"
Tide blocked high. Elian twisted low. A hook-step with his right leg brought Sledgehammer up under the ribs. Point-blank, he pulled the trigger. The sudden burst of Onyx rounds sawed through the enemy’s Tyrant’s last good arm.
The massive arm fell to the ground with a loud thud, still twitching.
"Ahh!" Tide’s eyes began to glow with plasma; it was the same energy he used to stop Elian in close quarters.
"Like I would let you do that," he scoffed.
The ground turned slippery, causing Tide’s body to tilt. His eyes grew wide in shock. But before he could process what happened, Elian raced forward, Bayonet raised. In a sudden bull rush, the golem struck the center of Tide’s torso.
But rather than a clean stab, a sharp clang echoed. Unable to penetrate, Tide turned his body to the right, forcing Elian to glide to the right.
"Tsk, too hard."
Clicking his tongue, Elian slammed his foot on the ground and slammed his shoulder armor into his opponent. The Living Metal on the ground wrapped around his leg and supported his rapid change in direction.
Deafening groaning of heavy metal resounded, and molten ore leaked from Elian’s leg. His shoulder panels opened up, exposing the matrix of launchers. Simultaneously, he sent Cinderglass to his thrusters.
"Blockbuster."
A deafening series of explosions resounded. Despite trying to force his body forward, Blockbuster’s overpowered volley sent Elian backward. But rather than fly a long distance, his thruster unit kept him grounded, only sending him back a few meters.
A violent clash of smoke and dust covered their corner on the battlefield. Using the small moment of respite, Elian took a moment to fix the ruptured parts of his body. The high-speed movements twisted his Living Armor and made part snap off from the weight.
His eyes never left the mana signature of his enemy. Despite the lack of visibility, Elian too saw more than the eye could see. And he knew that despite his seeming advantage, the fight was still in its initial phases.
Tsk, I used up a lot of my cards when he still hasn’t. My impatience turned the situation against me, he analyzed.
"Stop being so hard on yourself, Elian," Bianca suddenly reassured in his mind. "The fact that you threw everything at him and he still is alive is a worthwhile finding in itself."
Thanks, how is the battle going, Bianca? I barely have the bandwidth to check.
"Our side is dominating, the difference in numbers making it extremely easy. The large-scale coordination of the Weapons is being trained in real time. It’s like watching a baby learning to ride a bike by trial and error."
Any reached the city?
"No. Mom had Stil ensure that none of the invaders could leave the battle zone. Charlotte had created a perimeter with her own Breakers. Ned is leading them. Marcus and Tessa even came to help."
Good. Anything else I need to worry about? Have any other spies like Yearns been found among the humans?
"Not yet. I am using the city’s CCTV network to check. I will let you know soon."
My parents?
"Safe. I am guarding them from my position as we speak. Charlotte also created a three-kilometer no-entry zone around them."
Should I be worried?
"No, she has truly fallen for your friend. So much so that she doesn’t even want to even risk disappointing him."
Elian breathed a sigh of relief. Truly, the longer this battle continued, the more worried he was about what the humans would do while he was occupied than about the actual battle.
"Please be careful of Tide That Roars, my Tyrant. His two most troublesome abilities are his ability to adapt and his nearly infinite health pool."
The voice seemed younger than the way the witch normally sounded. But Elian grew more concerned with the info he received.
Huh? How do you know that, Bianca?
Contrary to what he expected, his lover replied, confused, "What do you mean, Elian? I didn’t say anything."
The same foreign voice continued, "My Tyrant, it is I, Yearns for the Light of Night. I noticed you and the Anchor conversing on this frequency and believed it was my obligation to warn you."
Elian gritted his teeth. He was more pissed that someone could hear his telepathic conversations than the fact that the moth spy was speaking to him.
"We will discuss your invasion of privacy later. Explain. As fast as you can."
Crack. The sound of hard material snapping reverberated. It reminded one of a crab’s shell cracking at a seafood restaurant.
"My Tyrant, Tide That Roars changes his body based on who he fights. The more he knows about your tactics, the less they will work against him. He uses..."
Elian didn’t even need to listen to what came next.
Like a crab molting, his opponent began to shed his blue skin, or what was left of it, like clothing. From the back of his torso, Tide ripped himself out in a sudden jerk. His limbs and injuries all disappeared as his body returned to its peak.
If initially Tides was blue in color, he was now a seaweed green with blue spots. Instinctively, Elian felt this opponent was far different from the being he had just fought. The feeling was like looking at the newest iteration of a phone or car.
There were few changes externally, but internally he knew something drastic had happened.
"...Scan..."

___
Three changes happened to his opponent after he turned green. Tide gained a second Talent, a C-Ranked one at that. His HP grew, and his stats shifted. He lost a rank in intelligence but grew in strength and agility. And finally, he lost 50,000 Mana.
"What the hell are you?"
Tide said nothing but rolled his shoulders.
"It is like I said earlier, friend. You will die today for Chorus."
Not willing to wait, Elian opened his shoulder panels and moved first.
"Good luck with that, Blockbuster Cinderglass ammo."
Unleashing a hailstorm of rounds, a heavy salvo smashed against Tide’s body. But apart from covering his chest, the enemy Tyrant made no other actions. When the smoke cleared, what Elian saw made his body tremble. freewēbnoveℓ.com
"Tsk. No damage, huh?"
Despite the overbearing assault, Tide’s new shell was not even scratched.
"I have learned everything, Elian Reed. You have no mana and only use impact as a weapon. Impervious protects me from physical strikes. Now what are you going to do?" Tide boasted.
Wordlessly, Elian raised his hand. Dozens of Dominators and Living Metal snakes shot up from the ground and lunged at his opponent.
But then the unthinkable happened. They slammed with their entire weight, but all Elian could feel was hitting something soft like a marshmallow. And when he tried to invade Tide’s body, Elian’s metals just slid off.
"I’m a crustacean. I am waterproof you bastard," Tide jeered.
