Chapter 155: Broadcast

"No way..."

"Are you for real?"

"Then the monsters really were sentient?"

"So Earth really is in this Crucible war thing? Why have the Big Three lied all this time?"

Even from where Elian stood, he could hear them. The doubts, the whispers, and the thoughts very few would have spoken out loud before. From small embers, it slowly grew into a raging fire.

Along with it came a sound.

The sound of walls crashing down. Whatever the Big Three built to keep the rest of the population ignorant has come to an end. And the one at the center of it all is Elian Reed.

Bianca, who was beside him, squeezed his hand. Her voice echoed in his mind.

"Elian, the Big Three will not just sit quietly while you do this," she worried. "They will strike back at you."

And we will be ready. I will never let them hurt you ever again, Bianca.

She blushed and looked away, "You are exaggerating again. I am fine. What could they possibly do to me? While I used to be alone, I now have the Weapons... and above all I have you..."

Still, I hope their organizations are wiser than they are.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

Completely destroying the three largest guilds worldwide is going to take time. Integrating them is far easier. I only want those that harmed you dead. Everything else I can negotiate. I do not have time to spare on them.

Bianca’s face grew tense as she contemplated, "Do you really intend to seek war that much?"

At least until we secure our Axis worlds, I will be able to relax more after we have secured Earth.

"Sigh. Elian, I am starting to think I am just an excuse, and you really only want to fight stronger opponents in the upper ranks."

What? Of course not!

"Really? If I asked you to stay with me and just live in peace, will you do it?"

I can. In fact, there is nothing that I would want more.

Elian gently caressed the face of his lover and gazed at her with eyes full of warmth.

We can go on a year-long honeymoon. But no longer. Afterwards, we would need to prepare for the fight to come. I do not want to risk your safety all because I lose control indulging myself in pleasure.

Bianca’s eyes grew red at the word "indulge". She lowered her gaze and couldn’t even look at him properly.

Meanwhile, a voice interrupted their communication.

How cold, you call us here, command us to submit and just have us watch you flirt? At least dismiss us first, my Tyrant. There is such a thing among humans called TPO. Fralhame is not known for its adherence to delicacy, but please have some class.

Elian and Bianca almost fell from the rebuke that joined their intimate conversation. Both couldn’t help but gaze at Sunny, the Tyrant of Averignis.

She made a slight smile before tapping on her temple with a wing.

"Bianca, if you intend to invade your lover’s mind, ensure you safeguard it from prying eyes. Otherwise, you are letting everyone hear everything, or is that what the young hatchling is in too?"

"Ah! You are right, Aunt Sunny; one of the Virexan did the same thing. I want to learn, but I don’t know how. I couldn’t complete my training as a Psychomancer."

Hearing Bianca’s admission, Sunny nodded and vowed of her own accord. frёewebnoѵēl.com

"I see. Then I shall have Flare and one of my children teach you."

"Eh? Why don’t you do it yourself, Aunt-in-law?"

At that moment, Sunny grew agitated and gazed down at Elian with hostility.

"Because I already told you before, you stupid hatchling. I am tired and do not wish to come back. You disregarded my words and expect me to be grateful?"

Elian blinked in confusion. "Eh? But you said that ’I wish to open my eyes reunited with those I love.’"

Sunny’s face warped in anger as she retorted, "I did say that, but I meant at the end of time of something! I spoke with the Flame Swallows, and barely half a human year has passed. I didn’t even get to rest! You wasted my opportunity to legally laze around!"

The Sun Everflame Tyrant’s flames grew in spread and intensity; the haze she created grew thick like fog. While Elian wasn’t affected, he noticed the human cameramen all began to wheeze and hyperventilate from the lack of oxygen.

Elian was about to do something when a gentle and cool voice echoed for all to hear.

"Sunny."

It was a voice full of affection and gentleness. Yet it did not feel wimpy or weak. The origin was, of course, Sunny’s Anchor—Flare. But the reaction from Sunny was immediate.

"Uhm... that last part was a lie, honey. I uhm... I really wasn’t trying to play hooky. Hahahaha."

Flame Swallows speaking like the Snow Wolves. Thus humans didn’t actually hear their words but could only hear the loud chirping noises coming from Sunny. It did not even take a long glance from Flare for the phoenix Tyrant to bow her head in shame.

Seeing this side of her made Elian curious about the Anchor of Averignis. Despite it being completely rude, Elian couldn’t resist.

Elian could help but chuckle. No wonder Silent and Bastion said that Flare had a hard time reeling Sunny in. The title he had and what Sunny exposed as her true nature were exact opposites.

Upon scanning, Flare bowed his head down low and greeted Elian.

"Salutations to the Tyrant Candidate. I am Flares Brighter than the Sun, please call me Flare. Thank you for saving my children and I from our enslavement. I will abide by what our Tyrant has promised you. Once you become Tyrant, Averignis shall stand with Earth."

"Thanks. For now, I only request one thing."

"Speak it, Elian Reed. And it shall be done."

"Protect my family and this city," he then pulled Bianca by her hand and hugged her close. "And bless my marriage."

Sunny’s fires burned hotter as she screamed like an overstimulated teenager. "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! You are already this open? How lewd!" she tried to cover her eyes with her wings but still peeked between the gaps.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Averignis knights and Flare nodded wordlessly.

Phoenixes, much like dragons, were immensely popular creatures both in fiction and history. The one benefit the crucible did for Earth was to bring such beings to real life.

Then for all the world to see, Elian faced Bianca and got down on one knee. Bianca knew what was coming. She was the one who requested it. But still, she couldn’t stop herself from crying tears of joy.

Elian gingerly took Bianca’s hand and pulled out the same ring he had offered to her before. It was an elegantly crafted shard of the Red Swarm Tyrant’s monster core, placed on a Living Metal band.

"Bianca Valestra, meeting you has been the single greatest thing in my life. And I am sorry for doing this now, but I want to let the world know how much I love you. I cannot promise you a life devoid of sadness or pain.

"But what I can promise you is that the days when you had to bear everyone alone are over. Now, every storm and every wave life throws at you, we shall face them all together. Bianca, the only woman I will ever love. Will you marry me?"

Technically, this was the third time Elian proposed. The first time he got an answer, but as Fluffy pointed out, it was to be his Anchor, not his wife. The second time, he didn’t even get an answer because Bianca had such low self-esteem that she believed she wasn’t worthy.

Elian was 99.99% sure Bianca would say yes. They were in love, compatible, and even got the approval of each other’s parents. But that 0.01% still gnawed on him. He couldn’t help but hold his breath in nervousness.

The seconds he waited felt like decades. His eyes were locked on Bianca. She tried to stifle her whimpers but failed. Her whole body trembled from emotion. Tears fell from her eyes. But through it all, Bianca Valestra nodded energetically.

"Yes. Yes, Elian. I will marry you. No, please let me marry you!" she cried adorably, in tears.

At Bianca’s acceptance, the Weapons all cheered in delight. Their bodies rippled; some screamed, others howled. The Flame Phoenixes took to the skies and ignited their bodies. The lesser flame swallows followed suit and circled around the Phoenixes like moons.

Within moments, Crestfall’s night sky turned golden. A picturesque scene of thousands of stars, along with six large suns, lit up the heavens. It was in this moment that Elian gave the order to end the broadcast.

Those around Elian grew flabbergasted. Most would think it would be completely inappropriate to propose in the same stream as the bombs of multiple reveals. But those who knew the Tyrant knew that he couldn’t care less about the humans.

Charlotte, Ned, Katri, and Silas all came to the same conclusion even without speaking.

This bastard wanted everyone glued to the broadcast before proposing. He used the reveals as clickbait for the biggest audience imaginable. To the Tyrant Candidate, his proposal was far more important than even the world tearing itself apart.

Naturally, apart from the many earth-shattering revelations to the simple romance story. This broadcast would be one hardly any human would forget for as long as they lived.
