My Wife is a Dead Villainess, and I'm Her Living Weapon-Chapter 49: Amazing
Chapter 49: Amazing
Bianca Valestra was many things. She was Elian’s savior, master and kindred spirit. Betrayed, abandoned and left to die in the dark, her spirit was anything but weak. During the weeks that passed, Elian learned about her bit by bit.
And while Elian didn’t know if he saw her romantically yet, the boy was sure that she was an irreplaceable existence to him. But there was one thing Elian never forgot.
Bianca was the most powerful being he had met to date.
From her nearly endless mana to her absolute control. She could eliminate you in all sorts of ways—with devastating ice meteors or freeze your blood bit by bit in quiet stillness.
Her strength was the benchmark he used to gauge the world. His strengthened armor was all to resist her blows. He was confident in his ability to tank hits.
So why? How the hell did she push me back?
Elian struggled to stand, due to his oversized armor, he thrashed in futility, unable to get up.
Crap, I’m really like a beetle now, I can’t even tip myself over.
Using the Living Metal on his back, he molded it to act like supports to flip him over. When he got up, he saw the ice that struck him. It was not really that big, but unlike Bianca’s normal ice, it wasn’t clear. But opaque, it had a dull grayish color.
What the heck is this? WOAH!
Grabbing it he grew surprised at its weight. It was clearly water—but it had immense mass. Elian tried to crush it but found that he couldn’t.
"Wow, this thing is hard. How did she even make something like this?"
[From initial readings, it seems to have ice compressed by high pressures. I would estimate it to be between Ice VI or Ice VII.]
"System? You have got to be kidding me. Is Ice VII even real? How did it send me flying?"
[It is completely possible; Ice VII behaves like hard ore. Given enough momentum and application of force, even skewering you can be done.]
Elian’s eyes grew wide with realization. The system rarely commented about the abilities of others. Mostly because mana broke all concept of physics. But if this was something the System had a classification for, then this thing wasn’t based on magic...
It’s based on science and physics.
All at once, Elian began to remember what Bianca said before.
"Elian, I never once thought about using physics in tandem with mana. I only focused on the speed and scale at which I could manifest my ice. Your way of thinking, it’s completely opposite of how Talent users think."
"No way..."
Bianca continued to glare at Elian. However, unlike normal, the air didn’t freeze. It was actually the opposite. The surroundings felt warm. Or rather— humid.
She is using real life applications with her mana. That’s awesome!
Rather than fear, the boy’s eyes began to gleam. It was like meeting another fellow inventor. When he was in school hardly anyone was interested in anything that didn’t concern mana. Science in total stagnated over the decades ever since the dungeons appeared.
"BIANCA!" Elian shouted in excitement.
"!!!"
At his sudden roar, the Witch grew startled. Confusion ran in her face as she saw his reaction. The woman’s surprise and unease were warranted. After all, how many would still smile if you attacked them with the intent to injure or maim?
"BIANCA! THAT IS SO COOL! YOU’RE AMAZING!"
In a sudden dash, Elian charged toward his master. Bianca flushed red but a soft murmur reached her weapon’s ears.
"Elian you idiot! Don’t think I will let you sweet talk me!"
Her figure vanished, and a blinding fog appeared out of nowhere. Elian charged into the smoke but forced himself to stop when he couldn’t see anything.
She’s thickening the fog by adding more water to the air!
Elian tried to think for a moment. With Bianca’s smarts weaponizing the air would be a piece of cake.
Wait! This isn’t the time to be impressed! Think! How do you fight this?
Then after a moment, Elian’s came to an answer. He should be frowning, but the boy beamed in joy at his realization.
"You can’t."
Before he could act, the air screamed. Something large and heavy raced. With a loud whoosh, Elian turned toward the direction the sound came from.
"But that doesn’t mean I won’t try!"
Elian lowered his skates and made his intake fans roar. He then launched himself toward the incoming projectiles. Lowering his head he increased his speed to the very limit.
"BAYONET!"
When he left the fog area, Elian saw the Ice VII pillars coming for him. Licking his lips he continued his charge. Without fear, he slammed his Bayonet into them. Only rather than break a sharp clang resounded.
Like a wave crashing against a mountain, he fought the Ice pillar for supremacy. Bianca’s new weapons drifted to Elian’s right and scratched against his armor. More sparks came. Then he noticed it—silence, followed by a hiss, like gas escaping a pressure tank.
Before the boy could figure out what was going on, he saw it.
Unlike how he detonated air, this was something different. The sparks from the collision ignited a raging fire. It was blinding and sudden. The blaze quickly spread and engulfed Elian. His body felt the immense heat that made his insides burn.
Crap, it’s like I’m being cooked alive!
Yet his eyes never lost their excitement. To be able to ignite a fire in this cold weather, Elian knew Bianca must have done something. And just the knowledge that his master grew more powerful made him immensely happy.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Laughing like a lunatic, Elian opened all the compartments in his body. As his body burned and his insides scorched, all the turbines he had begun to spin.
The sudden vortex drew the air all around Elian toward his insides. Even the fire raced to join them. Like a dragon eating the flames, the black behemoth did not care about the pain, nor the fact that his insides were already melting.
His laughter continued as his entire frame began to glow from the heat.
"BIANCA! FLUFFY! GET OUT OF THE WAY!"
Turning his chest toward the strongest mana signature in the dungeon, Elian opened the panels on his shoulders and screamed at the top of his voice.
"BLOCKBUSTER!"
Louder than any roar, more chaotic than even a thunderstorm, his fifty launchers simultaneously fired. A barrage of baseball sized projectiles tore the air so much it created a vacuum.
With it all the fires plaguing the region were smothered. Amidst the smoke, an armored behemoth covered in soot collapsed on one knee.
"Pant. Pant. That was so freaking amazing. Cough!"
Even as his throat burned and his chest was heavy, Elian looked up and searched for his master. When he found her, he praised in excitement.
"BIANCA! HOW ARE YOU SO GOOD? YOU’RE SO FREAKING SMART! YOU’RE SO AMAZING!!"
However, Bianca did not smile but face palmed instead. Fluffy who was beside her, snickered like an imp.
"Hehe, you hear that, Master? You just tried to kill him, and this lunatic still looks at you, smitten. How in the world can you not adore someone like that?"
"Silence you mutt. Before I make your pee turn to ice while it is still inside your bladder."
But, rather than shy away, Fluffy’s eyes narrowed as she smirked, "I would have been convinced if your ears weren’t so red. Just say it outright. You are happy, he acknowledged your efforts."
"FLUFFY! I SAID SHUT UP!"
Ignoring her, the Alpha walked toward Elian and moved to his back. With swift movements, Fluffy used her tail to withdraw a potion from his magic bag and opened it. She then splattered the contents on Elian.
The fluids seeped into the cracks in his armor and Elian felt relief. Within seconds, he felt his insides rapidly healing. It actually puzzled him sometimes, he was supposed to be a golem, but his body parts still acted human.
Not that it matters.
Standing up, Elian almost tripped. Fluffy supported him with her tail wrapping it around her torso.
"Holy crap! You’re way too heavy, Sir Elian!"
"Like you’re one to talk. Anyway thanks, Fluffy."
Bianca came closer. She held her arm awkwardly. Seeing her hesitation, Elian reached out to her and took her hand into his.
"Bianca. I am sorry for acting the way I did."
"I-I...Uhm...You should...Uhm..."
A loud groan came from Fluffy. Then a loud swish echoed. A white tail smacked the Witch on the back of her head.
"Ouch! How dare you hit your master? You oversized flea magnet!" Bianca snapped.
"Eyes forward Master. If you have so much energy, use it to speak properly."
Bianca pouted but took a deep breath to compose herself.
"Elian, you do not have to carry everything alone. W-We are family. Let Fluffy and I help."
The boy went wide-eyed but nodded all the same.
"Understood."
At his reply, Bianca made a gorgeous smile, "Good! Never forget it okay?"
