My Wife is a Dead Villainess, and I'm Her Living Weapon-Chapter 85: Nothing
Chapter 85: Nothing
Elian’s legs buckled. His breathing turned uneven. This may perhaps be the first time he felt this way since being reborn. Despite knowing that Heaven’s Fist was a human, his vision began to play tricks on him. It was as if his opponent was fifty meters tall.
Get a grip.
Clenching his jaw and fists, Elian watched his opponent’s every move. Heaven’s Fist moved slow but somehow, he closed the distance between at an alarming pace. It was as if he was distorting space itself.
"Scan."

"..."
Reach the realm of heaven? What the hell?! Is that even real?
Although Elian had Adamant Heartless on, he swallowed to relieve some of his tension. Now he understood why this man was the strongest. He not only stood at the edge of the Twilight Tier but had not one but two EX stats.
The Red Swarm Tyrant needed to give up her life to get just one. This bastard could be a Tyrant just from sheer power.
Elian then felt a soft plink hit his armor. It was the sound he heard when others scanned him.
"Interesting. Three Talents. You might be the strongest I have seen in this generation."
He can see my records? How?
As if answering him Elian’s opponent chuckled.
"I am at Clearance 1. Of course I see."
Frustrated at being read so easily, Elian tried to make his facial armor thicker. Heaven’s Fist’s face lost all its humor and turned stern.
"Before we begin, I have a question. Do you wish to become Earth’s Tyrant?"
Elian froze at the question; thousands of scenarios passed through his mind. He wondered why Heaven’s Fist would ask such a stupid question? When he couldn’t think of a reason, he just answered directly.
"Yes."
"Even though you might end humanity?"
"I won’t."
"I see. Then let me ask a question. Do you wonder why I have yet to become Earth’s Tyrant?"
Nod.
"I cannot. Because I reached the Pinnacle... I was denied the right to lead. Long have I wondered why fate placed such an irony on me. If I wasn’t given this power to be a Tyrant. Then what meaning did my life serve?" the old man reminisced as he gazed to the sky.
"..."
Despite looking like a muscle head, Heaven’s Fist was quite pleasant to the ears. He seemed like an intellectual if you failed to see his body that looked chiseled from stone.
"Then I had an epiphany."
In an instant Heaven’s Fist closed in and placed his face within inches of Elian’s.
"I am the strongest human. I am both the pinnacle and the limit of humanity."
Elian understood. To be the strongest meant to be the absolute limit.
"Sadly, humanity cannot win the Crucible if we stayed human. As strong as I am, I cannot become a Tyrant. That is what the Crucible has decided." Heaven’s Fist frowned.
"So, I decided to use my life for humanity. In order to ensure we will survive as a species, I will be the final door a human Tyrant must open. I will stop the weak from declaring war on the other worlds. Only those who can surpass me may take the crown."
"What?"
"Boy. No, Tyrant Candidate, Elian Reed. I carry a special Mark of a Tyrant. Upon killing me you will receive it. I am the reason Earth has stagnated. I will tell you the same words I shared to all those who came before you."
Heaven’s Fist stretched out his hand and clenched it, "If you wish to take Earth, you must beat me. Otherwise, you will die here today, forgotten like all the others."
Suddenly humanity’s actions all started making sense. No one could become the first Tyrant, because this old bastard stood in everyone’s way. Fluffy mentioned he fought alone. Which indirectly meant he had no allies and only had enemies.
He has been killing everyone who wanted to become a Tyrant. No wonder only weaklings were left. Only they were the ones he left alone.
But despite all that he understood, Elian’s will remained on one thing.
"I don’t care about any of that. I will fight you here and now," he declared.
"Are you certain? You are perhaps the most powerful ascendant I have seen in decades. I will give you fifty years. Leave now and get stronger. When the time passes, I will come for you."
Logically, Elian should already be jumping at the offer. It hasn’t been a year since he gained his talent. In fifty years, he might be able to fight this arrogant old man to a standstill.
But he couldn’t.
"Fifty years ago..." Elian’s began despite his body shaking.
"Hmm?"
"Fifty years ago. Did you fight a woman, an ice mage who was a Psychomancer?"
Heaven’s Fist nodded, "I did. Bianca Valestra, the Witch of the Frozen Night. Valestra’s puppet. I had thought I already ended it, but I didn’t think such a monster would persist for fifty years without a body. If anything, its tenacity to cling to life is worthy of praise."
It? What the hell is this man saying?
"Why did you kill her? She had no wish to become a Tyrant. All she wanted was peace," Elian grunted with much difficulty.
"It matters not. Bianca Valestra’s existence is an affront to humanity. You interest me, which is why I did not chase that abomination immediately. But make no mistake, it won’t see tomorrow." Heaven’s Fist declared with finality. "And this time I will not fail."
"Then there is nothing left to discuss. I will kill you today."
Heaven’s Fist frowned, "Do you even know what she is? Why calling that thing—human is mankind’s greatest mistake?" freewёbnoνel.com
"I don’t care. She is my lover. No matter what happens, I would never allow anyone to touch Bianca. Not while I am still alive."
His opponent grimaced and said no more.
Heaven’s Fist stepped forward. Left hand extended. Right hand drawn to his center.
The final door to Earth’s throne stood ready.
Elian braced his core and tensed his body.
It was perhaps the longest second in Elian’s life. The final calm before the storm.
Then Heaven’s Fist vanished.
What?!
Despite acting a second two slow, Elian acted on instinct.
"BLOCKBUSTER!"
His shoulder launchers unleashed a hailstorm of Cinderglass. The simultaneous detonations warped the air and created a massive shock wave.
Yet a second later Elian felt his body bend to the right. Turning his head, he saw a fist slam into his side. Despite being protected by onyx plates, he saw a huge hole.
"Kuark!"
Vomiting molten ore, Elian twisted his upper body and shoved Sledgehammer into his opponent’s face. Yet a powerful impact smacked the side of his head. The Tyrant’s vision darkened. It was as if his eyeballs exploded from the shock.
[Talent: Driven – triggered. Elian Reed will never lose consciousness in the face of an enemy.]
Elian pulled the trigger for Sledgehammer. He fired blindly, desperate to create distance. Yet within the next instant he felt his entire left arm ripped off his shoulder.
"ARGH!"
Grunting Elian tilted his body to the side and detonated Cinderglass on his back. The sudden trust threw him like a rag doll to the right. As he crashed and slammed on the ground, his mind raced.
He is way too fast! I can’t defend since I cannot see. Return my vision, set up more eyes so I can fight even if he blinds me again.
Elian restored his eyes before his arm. With his vision restored he began to steer and turn his body. Heaven’s Fist was already coming for him.
"System. Give me eyes!"
[Request unclear.]
"Whatever you are going to try it won’t work!"
Heaven’s Fist teleported to beside Elian and buried his fist into his chest.
My Core! Quickly move it to my feet!
Shifting his core Elian felt a foreign object jam itself into his insides and grab out his heart.
"Blearch!"
In the next instant, Elian felt his heart crushed in his opponent’s hands.
[Talent: Driven – triggered. Elian Reed will never lose consciousness in the face of an enemy.]
Losing strength, intense pain assaulted Elian as he collapsed on one knee.
"Hmph. You are a clearly a golem, yet you have no core? You are just an abomination as she was."
Wiping the molten ore from his mouth, Elian looked up and smiled, "Thanks for the compliment."
Elian shifted his metal and unmade his voice box. It was similar to his state in Living Metal. He could speak but humans couldn’t hear him.
"System can you hear me?
[Affirmative.]
"Copy my eyes and add it to the floor and walls or something as many pairs as you can make them hard to spot," Elian.
[You lack the brain power to process the information.]
"Combine them to a single view like an Ant’s. That should be possible right?"
[Due to the vast information from the Red Swarm, yes, it is possible.]
"Good. I haven’t lost yet."
