Chapter 165: Chapter 159: She Must Protect Her Senior Sister

Indie Lowell’s lipsticked lips slowly curved into a smile. She stepped forward in her high heels, and the Lowell Family’s Great Martial Masters scrambled back in fear.

She walked over to Aurora Sinclair’s side, stopping a few paces away. Turning to her, she smiled and said, "We meet again, little lady."

Aurora Sinclair’s eyes flickered. The Power that was about to erupt from her body receded. She watched the woman for a moment, gave her a fist-and-palm salute, then turned, took Leigh Miles and Titus Miles by the hand, and prepared to leave.

"Hey... You can’t leave yet..." Henry Lowell grew anxious, seeing the people he had worked so hard to lure out about to walk away.

Just as he was about to step forward, his family’s own eldest daughter blocked his path.

Indie Lowell clasped her hands together and cracked her knuckles, making a sharp CRACK sound. This scared the Great Martial Masters, who stumbled back several more steps.

She kicked off her high heels, planting her bare feet on the ground. Rolling her neck, she said, "It’s been a while since I’ve had to get my hands dirty. It seems some people in the Lowell Family have forgotten I’m a Martial Artist."

"Miss Lowell..." Henry Lowell retreated, a fearful and ugly look on his face.

...

「Half an hour later.」

Indie Lowell was led by a bruised and swollen Henry Lowell to a hotel near Arcadian University.

When she saw Ethan Lowell tied to a chair, unable to move, she scoffed. "Is this how you treat a Young Master of the Lowell Family?"

Henry Lowell gestured to the people in the room, and they immediately untied Ethan Lowell.

Once free, Ethan Lowell rushed for the exit, but Indie Lowell pushed him back with a single palm strike.

"Get out of my way—" Ethan Lowell roared, his tone hostile.

’My mother is still at the old mansion!’

But Indie Lowell stood firmly in the doorway, looking at him calmly. "You’re overestimating yourself!"

"You..."

"Young Master Ethan, this is your aunt, the Lowell Family’s eldest daughter, Indie Lowell," Henry Lowell introduced in a low voice.

Ethan Lowell froze. Since returning to the Lowell Family, he had never met this aunt, who had supposedly run off with a young master from the Vance Family in a fit of pique, unwilling to accept an arranged marriage.

Indie Lowell took two steps forward. "So you’re my eldest brother’s illegitimate son?"

Ethan Lowell’s face instantly darkened. He clenched his fists tightly, glaring at her.

"Angry?" Indie Lowell took two more steps, clearing the doorway. She looked down, pulled out a pack of cigarettes, and lit one for herself. "What good will that do? You’re so weak. You’re just a fish on a cutting board, waiting to be carved up."

"You..."

Indie Lowell slowly approached him and whispered in his ear, "If you want respect in the Lowell Family, your current level of strength isn’t nearly enough to make the cut. Back in my day, I was a Great Martial Master."

Under the orange glow of the streetlights, Titus Miles was draped over Aurora Sinclair’s shoulder, his eyes half-closed and drowsy.

The shadows of one large figure and two small ones were stretched long beneath the lights.

Leigh Miles asked, still shaken, "Senior Sister, were those all Ethan’s family members?"

Aurora Sinclair pressed her lips together, not replying for a long moment.

Seeing that she was in a bad mood, Leigh Miles muttered under her breath, "They’re so horrible! It’s a good thing that pretty lady helped us..."

Suddenly, Aurora Sinclair stopped in her tracks and turned to her. "Leigh, that lady we met today..."

She stopped mid-sentence and closed her mouth again.

"Senior Sister, what is it? Is there something wrong with that lady?" Leigh Miles asked immediately, seeing her hesitate.

Aurora Sinclair shook her head and strode forward.

"Hey! You stinker, Senior Sister, why’d you stop? You got my hopes up, now tell me..."

Leigh Miles scurried after her, complaining unhappily, but Aurora Sinclair didn’t bring up the subject again.

After crossing a street, they arrived at a food street near their residential complex.

Leigh Miles’s mouth watered as she smelled the fragrant aromas. "Senior Sister, should we get a little something to eat...?"

Before she could even finish her sentence, five or six boys popped out of nowhere, their eyes shining as they stared at Aurora Sinclair.

"The campus beauty? Oh my god, it’s really her!"

"Sinclair, what do you want to eat? My treat—"

"Sinclair, let me help you carry the kid..."

...

Aurora Sinclair quickly clutched Titus Miles and took two steps back. Seeing this, the boy who had reached out retracted his hand and rubbed his face sheepishly.

They had all seen the online post and had come to grab a bite, hoping for a chance encounter with Aurora Sinclair. They never expected to actually run into her.

The moment Leigh Miles saw so many boys, her internal alarms went off. She stepped in front of Aurora Sinclair. "No need. My little brother is sleepy, and we need to get home."

The boys looked disappointed and cleared a path. "Sinclair, where do you live? We can walk you back! It’s so late..."

"No, thank you, big brothers. Our house is just up ahead..." Leigh Miles waved her hands dismissively, tugging on Aurora Sinclair’s clothes and walking quickly forward.

After power-walking a few hundred paces and seeing they weren’t being followed, Leigh let out a long sigh of relief. "Whew... Senior Sister, you have fans now? They’re way too enthusiastic."

’The way those boys were looking at my Senior Sister was just too intense. If I hadn’t been there, they probably would have tried to drag her off to eat with them.’

’No wonder Master and Senior Brother are so nervous about any guys around Senior Sister.’

’If they’re all like this, there’s no way she wouldn’t be tempted eventually.’

’Nope. I have to guard Senior Sister well!’

Just as they turned into their residential complex, they nearly ran into a familiar black car.

The door was thrown open, and Alvin Morgan emerged. His tone lacked its usual composure. "Are you hurt?"

He had received Aurora Sinclair’s emergency call, heard the voices of the Lowell Family members, and immediately had Dean Morgan drive over from the Morgan Residence.

"We’re fine. A pretty lady stopped them. Huh? How did you guys know?"

Leigh Miles’s expression slowly shifted from confusion to suspicion.

’Did they plant a listening device on Senior Sister?’

Dean Morgan held up his wrist. "Your Senior Sister pressed the emergency call button."

Only then did Aurora Sinclair remember that she had pressed a button on her watch, intending to make a recording.

Alvin Morgan seemed to breathe a sigh of relief and walked over to take Titus Miles from her.

"Don’t go out so casually at night from now on. A lot of people have their eyes on you."

Aurora Sinclair nodded.

After Alvin Morgan escorted the three of them home, he said with a grim face, "Send the recording to the Lowell Family."

「Meanwhile.」

Hugo Lowell was in a thunderous rage, furiously smashing a teacup on the floor.

"You wretched girl—"

But Indie Lowell was completely unafraid. Sitting across from him, she said coolly, "What? Feeling humiliated?"

"You still have the nerve to come back? You’ve completely disgraced the Lowell Family!"

Indie Lowell chuckled. "I never said I was coming back to the Lowell Family. I just came to tell you something. Aren’t you afraid The Martial Affairs Bureau will come knocking after you tried to kidnap someone in broad daylight?"

"What?" Hugo Lowell clasped his hands behind his back and turned to look at her, confused.

But Indie Lowell stood up directly, looking as if she was about to leave. "Control your precious granddaughter! To think she’d dare to use such low-life tricks..."

"Wait. Have you broken through to Martial Arts Master? What level?"

"Hah..." Indie Lowell scoffed and walked away without a backward glance, leaving the home that had chilled her to the bone.

"You, unfilial daughter!" Hugo Lowell was so angry he clenched his fists tightly. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

After leaving the Lowell estate, Indie Lowell drove straight back to her residence. She glanced at the closed security door across the hall, walked over, and gently pressed her ear against it to listen for any sounds from inside. A slow smile graced her beautiful lips.

"Who are you?"

A strange male voice suddenly came from behind her. Indie Lowell’s expression changed, and she spun around, kicking at the man behind her.

Leon Barron retreated quickly, blocking her attack with his arms and stumbling back two or three steps.

’This woman is incredibly strong!’

When Indie Lowell saw it was Leon Barron, she secretly breathed a sigh of relief. She had investigated him—he was Aurora Sinclair’s high school teacher and also their neighbor.

"Hello, I’m the new neighbor who moved in a few days ago, Indie Lowell." Indie Lowell straightened her clothes and extended her right hand with a smile.

But Leon Barron just looked at her warily. He didn’t shake her hand, instead questioning, "What were you just doing?"

"Nothing. Just curious."

Indie Lowell smiled, withdrew her hand, and crossed her arms as she walked toward her own apartment.

Leon Barron watched her open the door to the apartment across the hall, his brows furrowed tightly.

’Dean Morgan just told me that someone has been targeting Aurora Sinclair lately, and that I should keep a close eye out.’

’Could it be this woman?’
