Mystic Calling:Stone of Glory-Chapter 443: Twilight Abbey of the Forsaken
Chapter 443: Twilight Abbey of the Forsaken
"This whole thing about choosing a Creature Dwelling for my Mythic Units... man, it’s a real headache. I seriously need to think this through," Ethan muttered to himself.
Right now, the only Tier 14 Mythic Units he had were:
Sacred Kirin, Gold Dragon, Ancient Behemoth, and Storm Dragon.
Which meant, when it came down to picking a final unit for the Mythic Creature Dwelling, it had to be one of those four.
But first off—
The Ancient Behemoth was definitely out of the running.
Why?
Simple.
In terms of numbers, the Ancient Behemoths were the rarest of the bunch. And when it came to Hero Units, they didn’t even have a single one capable of leading them properly—hell, not even someone who could barely manage it.
Sure, there was Balthazar.
But no matter how you looked at it, an Ace Unit was still just an Ace Unit.
They weren’t on the same level as a Hero Unit.
There was a fundamental difference between the two—like night and day.
And that gap wasn’t just about raw power or combat ability. The real kicker was that Hero Units could boost the stats of the troops under their command—across the board. That meant more damage, better survivability, and a huge bump in overall performance.
Especially when the Hero Unit and the troops were from the same faction?
That synergy could be pushed to the absolute limit.
It was a game-changer.
So yeah, the Ancient Behemoths had neither the numbers nor the Hero Unit support. There was no real debate—they were out.
"Sacred Kirin’s probably not gonna cut it either..."
After thinking it over for a bit,
Ethan crossed the Sacred Kirin off the list too.
Why?
Well, even though the Sacred Kirin had Kyros on their side—
Which, to be fair, gave them a slight edge over the Ancient Behemoths in terms of value—
Kyros was still just a Kirin Hero, not a Sacred Kirin Hero.
And that made a big difference.
Plus, Ethan didn’t have that many Sacred Kirin to begin with.
Only 50. Not exactly a strong showing.
No way he was gonna use all 500 units of his Tier 14 Mythic Unit reward just to bulk up the Sacred Kirin. That’d be a waste.
And then there was the bigger issue.
Sure, Sacred Kirin were beasts on the open sea.
Out there, they were unmatched. No matter who they faced, they’d hold their own—maybe even dominate.
But what about other terrains? Other regions?
Their power would take a serious hit.
And if they ended up in a place like a Dungeon—dry, barren, not even a puddle in sight?
They’d be dead weight.
Bottom of the barrel.
So yeah, all things considered, the Sacred Kirin just didn’t offer enough bang for the buck. Especially now that Ethan had already made up his mind to focus on expanding into Dungeon territory.
That made their value drop even more.
So, they were out too.
"So that means... the only real options left for the Mythic Units’ Creature Dwelling are the Storm Dragons and the Gold Dragons?" Ethan rubbed his temples, clearly torn between the two.
If he went with the Gold Dragon dwelling, the benefits were obvious. Right now, the Gold Dragons were the strongest force in Emerald Castle—and the most numerous among his Tier 14 Mythic Units.
But the one big problem?
They couldn’t die.
Not because they were immortal, but because without a Creature Dwelling, once they were killed, that was it—no coming back.
So if he chose the Gold Dragon dwelling and finally gave them a way to revive, that would instantly eliminate their biggest weakness. Their overall combat power would skyrocket.
After all, everyone knew—fighting with the fear of death hanging over you versus fighting with nothing to lose? That was a night-and-day difference.
It could completely change the battlefield.
On the other hand, there were the Storm Dragons. And honestly? That option had its own massive appeal.
Because of what the future held.
Why?
Because Cicero’s future evolution path...
Was the Storm Dragon.
In other words, if Cicero successfully evolved into a Storm Dragon Hero Unit, he’d be able to lead and empower the Storm Dragon army as one of their own.
And that? That was huge.
At that point, Cicero and his Storm Dragon troops wouldn’t just be a powerful force in Emerald Castle—they’d be one of the most elite, most terrifying Tier 14 Mythic Unit armies in the entire world of Glory Lords X.
That kind of long-term potential?
No other option could even come close.
Just thinking about it made Ethan’s eyes light up. The answer was clear now.
"Looks like the Storm Dragons are the only real choice for the Creature Dwelling," he muttered, then turned his attention to the rest of the rewards.
"Random SS-tier Special Building x1..."
"Random Level 7 Special Resource, 100 units..."
"Hero Tier Upgrade Scroll x1—for a Crimson Ultimate Hero!"
"Three random Level 4 Strategic Artifacts..."
"One S-tier Power Fragment of Order Dragon Asha..."
"Ten Awakening Stones of Arcane Genesis—orange grade..."
"All Hero Units under your command: +3 levels..."
"Damn, these are all insane rewards!" Ethan’s eyes gleamed with excitement. Without hesitation, he said, "System, go ahead—start drawing the mission rewards!"
Ding!
"Player Valkarion has chosen to draw mission rewards. Drawing in progress... please wait. Ding! Mission reward draw complete. Congratulations, Player Valkarion! You’ve received the SS-tier Special Building—Twilight Abbey of the Forsaken."
"Congratulations, Player Valkarion! You’ve received the Level 7 Special Resource—Demonic Heartshard of Wrath!"

Twilight Abbey of the Forsaken—
A legendary monastery once home to godless monks, long abandoned by the divine.
Every Hero Unit who steps into this place for the first time receives a permanent all-stats boost ranging anywhere from 5% to 50%. And any territory that has the Twilight Abbey built within it gains a passive bonus: a small chance to increase the recruitment rate of Tier 1–13 Ace Units.
The bonus? Between 0.01% and 0.05%—not huge, but over time, it adds up.
But the real power of this place lies in its two unique buffs: Rebirth and Sacrifice.
Rebirth
Once every in-game year, the Abbey generates a carryable skill buff called Rebirth.
It grants a 100% chance to revive the bearer upon death—fully restored, no penalties.
The buff lasts for one full day once activated.
Note: This buff does not work on Hero Units that originate from Tier 14 Mythic Units.
Sacrifice
Once every 100 in-game years, the Abbey generates a carryable skill buff called Sacrifice.
This buff can only be applied to Ace Units or Hero Units. When the unit carrying it dies, the designated beneficiary receives a massive power boost.
Here’s how it breaks down:
If a Hero Unit sacrifices themselves for an Ace Unit:
All stats +200%
Damage +100%
Critical hit chance +30%
Lethal strike chance +8%
HP +100%
All magic resistances +50%
If a Hero Unit sacrifices themselves for another Hero Unit:
All stats +100%
Damage +50%
Critical hit chance +20%
Lethal strike chance +6%
HP +100%
All magic resistances +50%
Note: This buff does not work on Hero Units that originate from Tier 14 Mythic Units.
If an Ace Unit sacrifices themselves for another Ace Unit:
All stats +50%
Damage +30%
Critical hit chance +10%
Lethal strike chance +4%
HP +100%
All magic resistances +30%
If an Ace Unit sacrifices themselves for a Hero Unit:
All stats +20%
Damage +10%
Critical hit chance +10%
Lethal strike chance +4%
HP +50%
All magic resistances +30%
Note: If the sacrificing unit is an Ace Unit, the buff does not apply to Crimson Ultimate Heroes ranked B or higher.
"...Whoa."
Ethan had gone into this with zero expectations for the so-called SS-tier special building. But now?
He was stunned.
Eyes wide, jaw slightly slack, he stared at the description in disbelief.
"This thing’s insane..."
Not only did it boost all stats, not only did it increase the birthrate of Royal Units, but it also came with Rebirth and Sacrifice—two buffs that were clearly game-changers.
This wasn’t just a good building.
This was a treasure.
A once-in-a-lifetime kind of reward.
"Absolutely priceless," Ethan muttered, still trying to wrap his head around just how powerful this thing really was.
