Chapter 507: Shadow Vixen Deity

Thud!

Thud!

Thud!

...

The moment Karlogh and Dark Seraphina launched their assault, the power erupting from their bodies surged into a frenzy—wild, chaotic, and overwhelming. In an instant, their strength skyrocketed, slamming Ethan with a pressure unlike anything he’d ever faced.

"Shit!"

Ethan’s face darkened. But before he could react further, something unexpected happened.

Zzzzzzzzzzz...

A searing heat suddenly burst from the surrounding cave walls.

BOOM!

RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE—

The ground shook violently, the entire mountain trembling as if it were about to collapse.

Chunks of rock broke loose and came crashing down, rapidly filling the cavern.

Ethan’s eyes widened in shock. He unleashed a burst of energy, blasting away the falling debris and carving out a pocket of space to take cover.

"What the hell is going on?!"

"Damn it—don’t tell me there’s another monster hiding in here?!"

Even Karlogh and Seraphina were starting to panic, their expressions twisted with fear—as if they’d just seen something truly terrifying.

And then, from the cracked and crumbling earth, a figure emerged out of nowhere.

When Ethan and the others saw it, their faces went pale.

"What the hell... is that a kid?"

The figure that appeared looked like a little girl—barely ten or eleven years old, tops.

She stood there, glancing around curiously, like she was searching for something.

Whoosh!

Her gaze locked onto Ethan.

"Aw, come on... why me?!" Ethan’s heart dropped. He was alone, no allies left, and the power radiating from this girl was off the charts—way beyond anything he could handle.

Worse yet, his system couldn’t even scan her. No data, no stats, nothing.

He knew exactly what that meant.

"This girl... she’s no kid. She’s a damn monster."

While Ethan was still trying to process everything—

Hummmm...

The girl floated up, hovering gracefully right in front of him.

"Was it you?" she asked, her voice calm but piercing. "Did you swallow my Darkheart Orb?"

Ethan froze.

He had no idea what to say.

Darkheart Orb?

He didn’t even know what that was.

Wait—!

Suddenly, he remembered the blood-red orb that had forced its way into his body earlier.

Thud!

BOOM!

BOOM!

Before he could answer, Karlogh and Seraphina suddenly exploded with power again, lunging toward them in a surprise attack from behind.

"Back off!"

But before they could get close, the girl moved.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

In an instant, a storm of blade-like wind slashed through the air, engulfing the two attackers.

The Sacred Realm burst open.

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM—!

"You dare try a sneak attack in front of me?" she snarled, her voice now laced with fury. "Fine. I’ll grant you your wish."

"Die."

The sweet, innocent-looking girl from moments ago had vanished—replaced by something savage, something demonic. Like a Demon Queen straight out of hell.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

The wind blades came crashing down, slicing clean through Karlogh and Seraphina.

"AAAHHH!"

Their screams echoed through the cave.

"Mercy! Please—!"

They turned and bolted in opposite directions, desperate to escape.

The girl just smirked coldly, watching them flee. She didn’t bother chasing them. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Instead, she turned back to Ethan, floating closer again.

"I’ll ask one more time," she said, her eyes narrowing. "Did you swallow the Darkheart Orb?"

Ethan gave a helpless shrug and let out a bitter laugh. "If you mean that blood-red orb, then yeah, maybe. But I didn’t know it was yours. It just... forced its way into me."

...

The girl was silent for a moment.

Then she shook her head slowly.

"I wish it was mine," she said softly. "But unfortunately... it’s not."

"...Not?"

"That was the Darkheart Orb—one of the supreme relics of the Citadel of Shadows. And now that it’s chosen you... that makes you my master."

"I’ll help you conquer this world."

"...Huh?"

Ethan blinked, mouth hanging open.

Supreme relic?

Master?

What the hell was happening?

This was not the direction he expected things to go.

But then he took a breath, forcing himself to stay calm.

Because one thing was clear—he’d just gained a powerful new ally in this world.

"So... what do I do now?" he asked.

The girl looked at him for a second.

Then, without warning, she lunged forward—and sank her teeth deep into his shoulder.

...

VMMM!

A surge of energy exploded between them.

In that instant, something strange and powerful connected Ethan and the girl—no, the creature—now standing before him. Their auras intertwined, their powers resonating like two pieces of the same puzzle snapping into place.

But Ethan? He was just standing there, looking completely miserable.

"She bit me," he muttered under his breath, rubbing his shoulder.

If this wasn’t clearly some kind of magical contract ritual, he would’ve flung her off him without a second thought.

Suddenly, a system window blinked into view:

...

"Tier 14? And she’s an S-Class Crimson Ultimate Hero?" Ethan’s eyes widened, pupils dilating.

Ataneya... was a monster in every sense of the word.

But then again, it made sense. How else could she have wiped the floor with those two freaks earlier?

Out in the real world, Karlogh and Dark Seraphina would’ve been considered near-Overlord level—absolute beasts.

And she made them run like scared dogs.

Ding!

Congratulations, Player Valkarion, on acquiring the first S-Class Hero in this world!

Then... silence.

"...That’s it?" Ethan blinked, annoyed. "No bonus? No loot drop? Not even a damn achievement badge?"

He sighed. "Figures..."

BOOM!

RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE—

The cave around them began to quake violently again. Cracks split across the walls, and chunks of stone started raining down. The whole place was seconds from collapsing.

Ataneya didn’t waste a moment.

She grabbed Ethan’s hand, her fingers surprisingly warm, and began chanting something in a language he didn’t recognize.

Before he could ask what she was doing—

FWOOSH!

They vanished into thin air.
