Chapter 606: The Ruthless Mother Dragon, For the Sake of the Great Purgatory True Demon (II)

High above the clouds, at an altitude of tens of thousands of meters, five colossal beasts, each no less than 290 meters in size, soared through the sky. Around them, sonic booms echoed as shockwaves rolled across the atmosphere.

Atop the head of the largest and most imposing black-and-red colossal beast, a slender, two-meter-long Little Purple Dragon squeaked incessantly in its tender voice. Eeya! Eeya!

The Single-Horned Kun flapped its massive fins as it glided through the clouds and curiously squeaked. Squeak! Thunder Fiery, what’s Xiao Yi saying?

The Thunder Fiery Demonic Dragon turned its head slightly, its eyes showing a trace of amusement as it growled. Roar! Oh, nothing much—just talking about killing everything, looting everything, and dominating the Chaotic Region.

Immediately, the Kun’s eyes sparkled with excitement.

Squeak! Xiao Yi is right! Our Dragon Palace must annihilate, plunder, and eliminate all colossal beasts to reign supreme over the vast world, unrivaled!

The Purple Dragon stood upright on the Demonic Dragon's head, placing its claws on its hips and nodding at the Kun with a chirp of approval.

Squeak! Thunder Fiery, what did Xiao Yi say this time?

The Demonic Dragon's eyes gleamed with mischief. Roar! It said you're a good little brother with strong convictions and that you can follow it from now on.

The Kun’s massive eyes widened in protest. Squeak! Little brother? Shouldn't I be Xiao Yi's big brother?

The Purple Dragon tilted its head, its intelligent golden-purple eyes brimming with disdain. It raised its left claw, pointing at the Kun and chirped. Eeya!

Confused, the Kun looked at the Demonic Dragon. Squeak! Thunder Fiery, what did Xiao Yi say now?

The Demonic Dragon grinned, revealing a ferocious smile. Roar! It said you're too weak. You can't even defeat a mythical colossal beast, so you're not qualified to be its big brother.

Roar! True, Big Horn is too weak!

From another direction, the Silver Colossal Dragon roared triumphantly. Roar! The great Saixitia is more formidable! In just over a hundred day-cycles since hatching, I’ve already reached the mythical level!

Having broken through the quasi-mythical limits, its body was imbued with the touch of laws, wielding two top-level abilities—one of which was the superior law of space. The Silver Dragon was, in many respects, no different from a true mythical colossal beast.

The red colossal beast with a long tail, which had been quietly flying with the group, suddenly growled at the elegant Golden-Blue Colossal Dragon soaring nearby.

Roar... Wel... come Cry... stal Drag... on King to the Drag... on Pal... ace.

The Golden-Blue Dragon froze mid-flight, turning its head in confusion toward the usually silent quasi-mythical beast.

Roar! Thorsafi, didn’t the great Saixitia already explain? Zhulong reacts slower because its laws involve time.

Understanding dawned on the Golden-Blue Dragon, and it nodded.

Roar! Alright, that makes sense. But let me remind you again, Saixitia: stop calling me the Crystal Dragon King! My title is Celestial Annihilator Dragon King, got it?

Roar! Got it, Thorsafi.

However, the Silver Dragon smirked and added, Roar! But the great Saixitia still thinks Crystal Dragon King sounds better. Celestial Annihilator doesn’t look as nice.

The Golden-Blue Dragon was speechless. Since when did titles need to "look nice?"

Suddenly, the Silver Dragon let out a cheer. Roar! Thorsafi, look! The flowers on Lake Cladis have bloomed—they’re so beautiful!

As the Silver Dragon roared, the clouds ahead parted, revealing an enormous lake stretching hundreds of kilometers below.

Countless golden-red flowers, each two to three meters in diameter and resembling a more delicate and vibrant form of lotus blossom, covered the vast lake surface.

The sea of flowers resembled a golden carpet spread across the water. Even the Demonic Dragon couldn’t help but marvel, while the Golden-Blue Dragon’s eyes glimmered with awe.

Roar! Thorsafi, let’s go play! Excited, the Silver Dragon beat its wings, stirring up gales as it glided downward like an enormous airborne carrier.

Roar! Wait for me, Saixitia! The Golden-Blue Dragon roared enthusiastically and followed closely behind.

Eeya!

On the Demonic Dragon's head, the Purple Dragon’s eyes lit up as well. It chirped joyfully, waving its tiny claws to urge the Demonic Dragon to descend.

Even though they were colossal dragons, females—whether humans or dragons—couldn’t resist such a mesmerizing sight.

Upon seeing this, the colossal form of the Demonic Dragon sank slightly, preparing to descend for a closer exploration of the lake.

However, just as it moved, the Silver Dragon, already a thousand meters above the lake, flapped its wings, gathering azure storms. In an instant, two towering cyclones swept down from the sky.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The hundred-meter-wide tornadoes, thousands of meters tall, wreaked havoc on the lake's surface, tearing countless golden blossoms to shreds. Flowers and lake water were hurled skyward.

As the Silver Dragon continued to stir the air with its wings, more tornadoes emerged, creating a chaotic and overwhelming scene.

Roar!

The Golden-Blue Dragon let out an excited roar. It conjured crystal-like orbs, each about ten meters wide and radiating hues of red, blue, and purple, which descended like artillery shells.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Massive explosions erupted across the lake. Each orb packed the power of an intercontinental missile, infused with various elemental energies.

In mere moments, a ten-kilometer stretch of golden blossoms was obliterated. Countless fish-like mutated beasts, measuring up to dozens of meters in length, leapt frantically from the lake, only to be caught in the devastation.

In the blink of an eye, the once-serene and beautiful golden lake was a cacophony of howling winds, thundering explosions, and the floating corpses of countless aquatic beasts.

This sight left the Demonic Dragon somewhat speechless. It had forgotten about the dragons' innate destructive tendencies.

Eeya! The Purple Dragon atop its head became even more excited, waving its tiny claws as it leaped into the air. With a streak of purple light, it darted toward the lake.

There, a mutated beast resembling a golden carp over ten meters long, with scales and two dragon whiskers, had just breached the water's surface.

Roar!

Suddenly, a massive purple dragon head appeared, snapping its jaws and swallowing the beast whole.

The head then shrank, revealing the Purple Dragon’s satisfied expression. It patted its belly with its small claws, delighted as more beasts leapt from the lake.

Boom!

A white flame burst forth from the Silver Dragon's mouth, descending onto the lake. The instant it landed, it erupted like a nuclear explosion, scattering shards of ice and shockwaves across the landscape.

Roar! The great Saixitia is invincible!

Roar! And so is the great Thorsafi! The Golden-Blue Dragon spread its wings wide, the edges of which shimmered with crystalline diamond-shaped scales.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Multicolored beams of light rained down, detonating across the lake and sweeping through a ten-kilometer stretch with explosions and destruction.

Under the unrestrained rampage of the two quasi-mythical colossal dragons, whose bloodlines were those of kings, the entire lake became a scene of apocalyptic ruin.

The Demonic Dragon couldn't help but twitch its mouth. Now it understood why the Azure-White Colossal Dragon had advised earlier to keep the elegant, noble-like Golden-Blue Dragon from joining the Silver Dragon in any mischief.

After rampaging for over half an hour and leaving the lake in ruins, with barely a trace of the golden blossoms remaining, the two colossal dragons finally took to the skies, satisfied.

Eeya! Eeya!

The Purple Dragon slumped lazily atop the Demonic Dragon's head, its belly round and full. It had feasted on many of the golden carp-like beasts while trailing behind the two destructive dragons.

To traverse from the Azure-White Dragon's territory to the Chaotic Region, they had to cross through the territory of the Golden-Blue Dragon’s mother, after which there was still a significant distance to cover.

According to the dragons' descriptions, the Demonic Dragon estimated the journey to span over three hundred thousand kilometers.

At the Kun’s enhanced flight speed—reaching four hundred meters per second in its late-stage level 9 state—the journey would take roughly ten days under normal conditions.

However, avoiding dangerous forbidden zones and detouring for exploration or treasure hunting along the way could extend the journey to half a month.

This was the difference between species. As a whale type, even after reaching level 9 and obtaining the ability to fly, the Kun’s flight speed was still very slow, only having an explosive burst during battles.

Such timeframes, however, were negligible for mythical world creatures, where a "day" could last over a month.

Meanwhile, as the Demonic Dragon made its way toward the chaotic region, in the Abyssal Battlefield, the frontline of the war between the Purgatory Clan and humanity, a starkly different scene unfolded. Behind mountain ranges towering tens of thousands of meters high, military camps and bases dotted the landscape.

In one of the Purgatory Clan's main bases, within a dark chamber resembling a towering hundred-meter-tall prison, a Purgatory True Demon was hard at work.

The four-meter-tall demon was clad in dark crimson armor, and had exposed arms, neck, and cheeks covered with fine dark-red scales.

Before it stood a massive research apparatus. At the center of the machine, a glass chamber contained the severed head of a demon, connected to numerous cables and circuits.

The computer screens displayed rapidly updating data, alongside synthetic images and diagrams.

After over half an hour, the equipment powered down, and the demon’s sinister face showed a hint of regret.

"Indeed, the genetic differences between species are vast. Even though they all possess brains, decoding the cellular information of the cerebral cortex is exceedingly challenging."

"Brooks, the legion commander has ordered a meeting."

"Coming."

With that, the Purgatory Demon stowed the mechanical equipment into its storage space. Its eyes grew cold, exuding the characteristic pride and arrogance unique to the Purgatory Clan.

Exiting the dark, enclosed room, "Brooks," actually Bredos, was greeted by the sight of a somewhat chaotic base.

Everywhere in the base were Purgatory Demons radiating the auras of the Sixth and Seventh Demonic Marks. Overhead, massive flying mutated beasts periodically soared past. As Bredos walked with heavy steps, the passing demons all cast him respectful glances.

Soon, he arrived at the center of the base, where a towering demon king's castle stood, spanning several kilometers and reaching thousands of meters high. One by one, powerful demons gathered there.

Entering the castle, he arrived in the grand and imposing hall, skillfully finding a corner to sit down.

No sooner had Bredos seated himself than a demon exuding the aura of the Eighth Demonic Mark, with two pairs of branching horns, approached curiously.

"Brother, I’m Guludeen, a fifth commander of the Talugu Legion."

Bredos glanced at the demon and replied in a deep voice, "I am Brooks."

The horned demon looked at the imposing and commanding crimson demon before him. As if they were already familiar friends, he curiously asked, "Brooks, which legion are you from?"

"I’m from the Kesamodo Legion."

Gasp!

The horned demon took a sharp breath, its expression instantly growing respectful. "I didn’t expect you to hail from the empire’s strongest legion."

Bredos sighed softly. "The ‘strongest legion’ is now a thing of the past. In that devastating breath, most of our legion's warriors perished."

The horned demon offered consolation. "Brooks, don’t be disheartened. As great warriors of the Purgatory Clan, dying on the battlefield is our highest honor.

"But this time, the casualties were indeed catastrophic. Four of our main combat legions have been crippled, eleven of our vassal legions have been wiped out, and the rest have also suffered heavy losses.

"Especially those legions directly facing humanity’s bio-mech. They were completely annihilated—it was horrifying.

"Of course, the unluckiest was still your Kesamodo Legion. Even though you had retreated so far, you were wiped out by that red colossal beast’s single breath."

Even the horned demon couldn’t help but lament the misfortune of Brooks' legion.

As the two demons continued their casual conversation—mostly the horned demon doing the talking—the grand hall gradually filled with demons bearing the auras of the Eighth and Ninth Demonic Marks.

Finally, several figures radiating the pressure of demon kings and great demon kings appeared atop the massive demonic pillars at the front.
