Chapter 333: Chapter 164: Wayne from the Inverted World (Thanks to ’Tun Tian Xie Mo Di’ for the alliance reward)_3
Under these circumstances, his poor lance skills were no longer concealed.
The Death Knight didn’t understand, he only knew that he had accomplished a tactical suppression, and figured that if Wayne was worn down alive, it would count as a victory.
He wanted Wayne to die in extreme pain. That was the cost of his betrayal of the Goddess of Death, and it was his own longing and hatred for Wayne’s world.
The Mirror World, also known as the Inverted World or the Reverse World, was a dark, cruel, and desperate world filled with negative emotions from the outer world—a tragic world indeed.
The Inverted World was the trash bin of the outer world, as well as a powder keg, filled with all the unstable factors, always teetering on the brink of collapse, and tragedies unfolded there at any given moment.
When the negative emotions reached their limit, the Inverted World would completely collapse, and due to the mirror effect, would be resurrected, copying the outer world one-to-one as it revived, continuing to act as the outer world’s trash bin.
The lifeforms of the Inverted World were aware of the existence of the outer world, if they looked up they could see that mirror, along with the constant rain of negative emotions.
A single curse or an evil thought from the outer world could accelerate the destruction of the Inverted World.
The people living there longed to enter the outer world yet also harbored hatred towards it, resenting the irresponsible littering.
But back to the point, the Death Knight was the ’Wayne’ from the Inverted World, and his hatred for Wayne had peaked. He wanted him dead, to die in the most painful way possible.
Boom!
Potent energy recklessly unleashed, the two fell down a floor into the hotel lobby which had been turned upside down.
As per the nature of mirrors, the ceiling of the lobby was downward, and everything was reversed, rotated by one hundred eighty degrees.
Mona did not rush to Wayne’s aid. Instead, like looking into a mirror, she saw her counterpart wearing white combat clothes of the Holy See, her expression ferocious as if possessed by a demon, a bloody crucifix emblazoned on her back.
In the other, Mona sensed evil, pure evil, an evil that had twisted faith, leaving no holiness in the crucifix.
Their gazes met and Mona’s heart ached deeply, while Nether Mona’s features twisted in a never-ending shriek. She conjured a black Holy Light Lance with a wave of her hand and, with a burst of magic power from beneath her feet, she seemed to fly toward ’herself’.
Hiss!
The black Holy Light dispersed, Nether Mona was impaled by the Holy Light Lance, the spear tip having entered her chest and exited through her back, tearing apart the red crucifix.
Mona had been updated, twice.
Nether Mona hadn’t; she possessed neither the stigmata nor a new uniform. The gap in their strength was irreconcilable, so vast that it was an instant kill upon confrontation.
Nether Mona gripped the Holy Light Spear with both hands, blood spilling endlessly from her mouth, and as the bloodlust in her eyes slowly dispersed, she cast a look of immense longing upon herself.
This gaze caused Mona to feel uneasy, hesitating for a moment, unable to bring herself to kill her counterpart.
But Nether Mona thought differently; her magic power exploded beneath her, as she charged forward to face herself, eyes filled with longing as she said, "You have lived too happily. You have gotten everything you want, you have everything..."
Mona opened her mouth to speak, but found her throat as though blocked, unable to utter a word.
There was no consolation, for she indeed had everything she wanted.
The light in Nether Mona’s eyes dimmed gradually, and her body, like a shattered mirror, crumbled away: "Hold tight to everything you have, do not let it slip away, otherwise... I will become you..."
"Never let go..."

Outside the hotel!
More than a dozen Black Sorcerers watched in dismay as the precarious Crystal Ball trembled, each one in disbelief.
"What’s going on? The Mirror Space Projection Barrier shouldn’t consume this many elements. Is that woman so powerful in the Inverted World?"
Projecting energy requires the basic elements of earth, fire, water, and wind, and magic power works too, but normal people dare not toy with it—magic power and life could be drained in an instant.
The amount of energy consumed depended on the projected person’s strength, and the Crystal Ball had stored plenty of the Four Elements, ensuring a foolproof mission.
But barely ten minutes in, and the spatial projection barrier was on the verge of collapse, leaving the Black Sorcerers flabbergasted.
"That shouldn’t be right. That woman isn’t a Legendary Mage..."
"I get it now, there must be other powerful individuals hidden among the Moonlight Church’s team, and not just one."
"Damn, what were you doing with the intelligence? Even the people of Frank wouldn’t make such a rookie mistake!"
"Chester, what do we do now?"
"Shut up, don’t say my name out loud here!"
The Black Sorcerer, Chester, without any hesitation, ordered, "Judging by the current trend, once the Four Elements are depleted, the Crystal Ball will collapse immediately, and the Mirror Space won’t hold... we must use the Forbidden Magic Domain, it’s the only way."
"Now?"
"What else? If the people from the Moonlight Church come out, our identities will be exposed, and the Magic Department will not acknowledge the ambush on a High Priest of the Moonlight Church. We’d be executed as Black Sorcerers!"
"..."
The sorcerers fell silent, starting preparations for the Forbidden Magic Domain.
Chester was right; their mission couldn’t be revealed, and if exposed, while the Magic Department might still play nice with the Moonlight Church, they would certainly face a public execution as traitors.
"Be careful, this isn’t a normal Forbidden Magic Domain, it doesn’t just seal the Four Elements, it also locks the magic power of Mages..."
"I know."xN
"Did you bring the guns?"
"They have been ready for a while."
"With so many guys, even a Golden Mage can’t take many hits!"
