Chapter 335: Chapter 165 Forbidden Magic Domain_2
Boom!
Wayne’s feet plowed the ground as he was sent flying ten meters by a powerful force.
By the time he steadied himself, his Shadowmare in hand reflected a skull face wreathed in black smoke.
"Hee-hee-hee-hee————"
"..."x2
"???"
The Death Knight and the Undead Warhorse were both startled, and Mona, who was mid-fall, wore a face full of horror; unable to stop herself, she crashed into a wall and tumbled into the ruins with a bang.
Her angel master was broken!
"You said I betrayed Death, so what is this?"
Wayne swung his sword, the heavy death aura cleaving through space and hissing as it tore open a dark portal.
Yuliya leaped from the portal, affectionately rubbing her head against Wayne’s cheek, the bone-on-bone contact leaving Mona, who was peering out, feeling a chill in her heart.
She had never been so close.
Thinking of ’her’ own words, that she would become a devil once she lost everything, her heart clenched painfully, an indescribable ache.
More than becoming a devil, she feared losing everything!
"Master, what is that?"
After Yuliya finished cuddling Wayne, she looked over at the Knight and horse duo with surprise, as if looking into a mirror, a dirty one at that. freewebnoveℓ.com
"Not sure, it must be related to the barrier I’m in."
Wayne jumped onto Yuliya’s back, his sword pointed diagonally at the ground: "Yuliya, that horse just now hit me with your face, and it broke my heart for a long time."
How absurd!
Yuliya instantly entered a rampage mode, stomping her front hooves and exhaling purple flames from her nose and mouth, ready to teach the opposite Bichon a lesson.
Through a flash of the portal, Yuliya carried Wayne into it.
Opposite, the Death Knight also drove the Undead Warhorse into the portal, the clanging of metal echoing in the air, interspersed with the occasional explosion, or the collapse of a wall or ceiling.
The dark portal flickered erratically, the gray mist ravaging and swirling around, a dreadful corrosive force decaying everything nearby, causing ashes to scatter with the Tempest, permeating the entire space.
The dark haze swirled, interweaving the dilapidated reality with the decaying mystic realm, creating an eerie and hazy picture.
Mona watched the changes before her dumbfounded, Wayne and Yuliya’s conversation echoing in her ears. She heard it clearly, Yuliya referring to her master as master.
’Master’ wasn’t her exclusive title, a horse shared the honor with her.
Boom!!
The portal ripped apart, and a black shadow plummeted from the sky, landing heavily on the ground, crushing the floor and falling into the corridor of the next level down.
Wayne, riding Yuliya, sauntered out of the portal, looking down from above, disdainfully saying, "Your death is just like this, too weak. Your weakness is the greatest disloyalty to the Goddess!"
The Death Knight growled from his throat, "The barrier can’t project all my strength. I didn’t lose to you, I just..."
"Shut up, only the weak make excuses. The truly strong fear no challenge."
Wayne let loose a verbal barrage, repeatedly crushing the opponent’s self-esteem while Yuliya followed by spewing purple flames, silently mocking the Bichon below.
The effect was mediocre, the Undead Warhorse was as if dead at heart, completely numb without any ripples throughout.
"You’re too weak. How can you protect the Goddess like this? Hand over the Shadowmare, you’re unworthy of being called a Knight," Wayne increased his harangue, eyeing the sword in the Death Knight’s hand.
Though he had one, more of a good thing was always better. Perhaps this was an opportunity, to unravel the chance of meeting with the Headless Knight.
The Death Knight, infuriated, waved his sword, stirring up a vortex of death.
The twisting mass of air expanded rapidly, and with a bang, like a balloon bursting, all elements fell silent in that moment.
Wayne looked at his body in surprise, enveloped by an inexplicable force that suppressed his Death Power. It wasn’t exactly a seal, but it definitely affected his control over Shadowmare.
Yuliya snorted, unable to exhale purple flames, shaking her head and tail in confusion: "Master, my nose is blocked, am I catching a cold?"
"That’s impossible, you’re already dead."
Wayne replied irritably, fixing his gaze on the Death Knight below, suspecting the other party was playing tricks.
It wasn’t him, the Death Knight was in a worse state, pressured by an invisible force, unable to maintain his Knight form, with the black armor vanishing to reveal his true appearance.
His steed, the Undead Warhorse, stood motionless, trying but failing to open a portal.
Wayne looked at the Knight’s face, identical to his own, with intense white lights flickering in his eye sockets.
He was sure that the one opposite wasn’t him, but seeing that face still made him doubt himself.
Could it really be him?
To be or not to be, the test would tell. Wayne leapt down from Yuliya and approached the Death Knight with Shadowmare in hand, pointing his sword: "A mere hindrance makes you unable to maintain the dignity of a Knight, how disgraceful. Dismount and fight me. I will give you a dignified death, letting you leave this world with the last bit of Knight’s honor."
The Death Knight’s face turned a ghastly pale, his hand trembling as he gripped Shadowmare. He dismounted to fight on foot, bloodshot eyes heading toward Wayne.
It was then that Wayne noticed the other’s ragged clothes, dirty and disheveled like a beggar.
Their swords met in midair with a clash.
The Death Knight, with a frigid face, said, "I can’t believe it, you have such a repulsive mouth yet you still retain the spirit of a Knight."
"Idiot, that’s the privilege of the strong. You’re weak, you don’t understand, you’re only worthy of pity."
Wayne sneered, and the moment the Death Knight grew furious, he forcefully pressed down with Shadowmare, the powerful force overwhelming the opponent in an instant.
