Naruto: I Have a Gravity Training Room-Chapter 455 - 453
Sasuke sensed the little girl's fear and instinctively held her tighter. "Then that giant eye…"
Hanabi swallowed. "It's formed from the Byakugan of everyone in that Ōtsutsuki branch gathered together. It's a gigantic Tenseigan, and it has terrifying power! Toneri wants to use that giant eye to control the moon and smash it into the earth, wiping out the shinobi world completely!"
A gigantic Tenseigan?
The moon crashing into the earth to destroy the shinobi world?
It sounded absurd, seriously.
"Like hell I'm letting him!" Naruto snarled, already starting to condense Truth-Seeking Ball shuriken in his hand. "I'm going to destroy that giant Tenseigan!"
"Stop, Naruto!" Sasuke cut him off instantly. "Don't be impulsive. That thing can't be destroyed."
Naruto bristled. "Sasuke, are you kidding me? How can we leave something this dangerous around? That guy's trying to wipe out the shinobi world. You can live with that?"
Sasuke stared at him like he'd grown a second head. "You idiot. Use your brain. Can Toneri beat Neji? Even if he could, can he beat Natsuki? He's done. He's going to lose. And that Tenseigan will become research material. Don't you remember what Natsuki said? We're going to use Ōtsutsuki to beat Ōtsutsuki."
"This is Ōtsutsuki power. We should be the ones to exploit it. If we research it properly and raise a whole group of Six Paths-tier fighters, then when the Ōtsutsuki clan invades, we crush them. This is about the shinobi world's survival. Do you get it or not?"
Naruto went stiff.
A second ago, he'd only had rage in his head. He hadn't analyzed anything. He'd just wanted to lash out and destroy it.
Now Sasuke had dragged him back to reality, and it made Naruto feel even worse. Maybe Asura and Indra really were destined to clash.
Naruto huffed. "You're real calm for someone who knows the shinobi world's about to be destroyed. You can still think that far ahead?"
Sasuke finally couldn't help it. He rolled his eyes so hard it looked like he'd borrowed a Hyūga's Byakugan. "Calm is a basic qualification for a leader. If you fly into a rage over everything, how do you lead a village? How do you lead shinobi? You're still a long way off. If you want to become Hokage, you need more trials. Learn to control your emotions first."
Back then, Sasuke himself had lived on the edge of losing it, consumed by hatred, always one step from spiraling.
It was Natsuki who had pointed him toward restraint, who taught him to stay cold-headed. That was why Sasuke had grown so quickly, and why he'd learned to think most clearly precisely when things mattered most.
Because that was how you break deadlocks.
That was a leader's essential trait.
Naruto opened his mouth, then shut it again. In the end, he couldn't say a single word back. Even if he wasn't the sharpest, he understood Sasuke was right.
But it left a bitter lump in his chest. He'd chased Sasuke for years. He'd finally caught up in strength, but in every other way he was still behind. No wonder everyone said he wasn't ready to be Hokage yet. It wasn't just paperwork and decision-making. He hadn't learned calm. He hadn't learned to think.
He really was still far away.
Hanabi, meanwhile, reached up and touched Sasuke's face without thinking, praising him brightly. "Sasuke-nii is so handsome!"
Sasuke actually felt his cheeks heat. He remembered how, when he was little and praised Nii-san, Nii-san would look proud and embarrassed at the same time. Maybe they really did have the same kind of personality.
He quickly changed the subject. "Alright. Let's get you out of here first. Neji's going to get impatient. That giant eye… we leave it to Orochimaru. He'll understand it better than we do."
Naruto didn't object. The three of them headed back the way they came.
On the other side, after blasting Toneri away, Neji only took one breath before rushing him again. He didn't care about talk-no-jutsu. He didn't care about Toneri's story. He only wanted to beat him into the ground.
How dare he dig out Hanabi's eyes?
How dare he set his sights on Hinata?
Neji only had two little sisters. How dare this bastard?
If they didn't need Toneri as research material, Neji would've torn him apart on the spot.
Toneri was in rough shape. He used the opening to duck into a castle. But right then, the Tenseigan's "fetal movement" kicked in again, and for an instant he lost his strength.
The next second, the entire castle exploded. Neji had apparently erased it with a single palm.
Toneri was absurdly lucky. The falling debris didn't crush him, and he even managed to ride out and endure that second pulse of fetal movement.
He didn't know when the next pulse would hit, but the Tenseigan's power had awakened further. That meant he could fight back more effectively. In his eyes, victory and defeat still weren't decided.
His whole body flared with a translucent green glow. Green Truth-Seeking Balls appeared around him.
He had fully entered Tenseigan Chakra Mode.
Then he kneaded the Truth-Seeking Balls in his hands, spinning them, and slammed his palms forward. A tornado-like storm took shape.
"Ginrin Tensei Baku (Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion)!"
The familiar technique made Neji pause for a fraction of a second.
So that was how it was. Descendants of Ōtsutsuki… different branches, same destination. Toneri could use the same kind of move too.
Fine, then.
Let's see whose is stronger.
"Ginrin Tensei Baku (Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion)!"
Neji launched his own, driving it out with palm force. The tornado he created was bigger and denser. In the next heartbeat, the two storms collided.
Rumble!
The impact erupted into violent turbulence that made the entire lunar surface tremble.
Boom!
Toneri's tornado was crushed. Neji's storm kept pushing forward, ready to swallow Toneri whole.
Toneri immediately accelerated upward, shooting high into the air and barely slipping out of range.
He snapped, half-unraveling, "You stole my technique!"
Neji laughed. "When I used this move against Kaguya, you didn't even have eyes yet. So tell me, who stole from who? How do you even have the nerve to say that out loud?"
"…"
Toneri refused to accept it. "I don't believe it! I just came up with that!"
Neji's mockery sharpened. "All that proves is how ignorant you are. The whole shinobi world knows I can use this. If anyone saw it, they'd say you copied me. Of course you would. You live alone on the moon with zero information, narrow-minded and sealed off. You don't understand anything, yet you run around doing whatever you want and calling it 'justice.' What's the point of someone like you even existing?"
Toneri went blank for a moment. Why had this suddenly turned into a personal attack?
And worse… Neji was denying the meaning of his existence.
He was the descendant of Ōtsutsuki Hamura. He had inherited Hamura's will. If the shinobi world was nothing but endless war, then it was a failed world.
Wasn't destruction the natural conclusion?
Who was the self-righteous one here?!
You bastard!
Toneri cracked. He flew even higher and used gravitational force to yank meteors down, smashing them toward Neji in a frenzy.
Neji only sneered.
That kind of attack might work on fodder, but against someone who also possessed the Tenseigan? It was useless. Did Toneri really not understand that?
His combat fundamentals were pathetic.
Neji deliberately decided to show off, to force this sheltered idiot to open his eyes and see what real skill looked like.
