Hashirama still remembered it. The last time he'd had a truly exhilarating battle with Madara was… well, the last time. Even if he'd ultimately been forced to choose to kill his best friend with his own hands, the fight itself had still been intensely joyful.

Because Madara's dance really was beautiful.

Because Madara's intent lived entirely in fists and feet.

Battle was happiness, and a battle where you could go all-out was the purest happiness of all!

His black eye flickered, and huge stone pillars suddenly appeared out of thin air, crashing down to suppress Hashirama.

Daikokuten and Sukunahikona were both among the black eye's dōjutsu. They could store any shrunken object inside a timeless, motionless space, then summon it at any moment to attack.

Isshiki, in daily life, loved stuffing random things into that still space. Giant stone pillars were nothing more than ordinary clutter to him.

Still, the pillars really were massive, and they appeared even more abruptly than the black rods. It genuinely caught Hashirama off guard.

Hashirama had no time to dodge. Thick branches erupted from his body automatically, successfully bracing every pillar overhead, but Isshiki's heavy boot was already in front of his chest.

Naruto, Sasuke, and Neji, who'd originally planned to spectate a little longer, finally relaxed when they saw that, then immediately charged in as well.

Boom! A second cube stacked down on top, the weight instantly exploding upward. Hashirama's Truth-Seeking Ball hand shattered, and Hashirama himself was pinned to the ground beneath two enormous cubes.

Fortunately, the very next moment, Hashirama burst up out of the earth some distance away, and everyone finally let out a hard breath.

Hashirama warned them in a deep voice, "Kids, these cubes are dangerous. Don't try to block them lightly, and watch out for sneak attacks. If you get caught wrong, you can die."

"Got it!!!"

Naruto, Sasuke, and Neji honestly didn't even need the reminder. They could tell at a glance the black cubes weren't normal.

So this was Isshiki's trump card. A moment ago, he couldn't even gain the upper hand in a one-versus-three. Now that he'd used this, the entire situation flipped, and the four of them instantly fell into a disadvantage.

An Ōtsutsuki really wasn't going to be simple.

Natsuki asked, "Orochimaru, can you tell what those cubes are?"

Orochimaru observed with the Tenseigan, but shook his head. "A very strange substance. Probably something from space. Not only is it incredibly heavy, it also blocks chakra sensing. I've never seen it before. But it's interesting. This will be one of my research materials too. Maybe I can forge some terrifying ninja tools out of it."

The cubes truly were special, even more special than God Tree materials. It was hard not to be intrigued.

Natsuki sounded genuinely expectant. "Don't worry. You won't be short on materials. Look at all those cubes. I'm more worried you won't be able to research them all."

And after each cube landed, Sukunahikona would shrink it down again, then it would be enlarged again up in the sky and dropped once more, smashing down in a frenzied loop.

As long as Isshiki didn't stop the technique, the cube downpour wouldn't stop either. In that case, there was no way Hashirama and the others could even get close, much less defeat him.

Seeing that, Sasuke immediately summoned two shields shaped like oversized ping-pong paddles, then strapped them onto his forearms.

With a bracing shove of both arms, he actually batted the falling cubes off to the side.

Isshiki froze for a split second, then immediately intensified the cube barrage on Sasuke. But Sasuke raised his arms overhead, and the ping-pong-paddle shields kept bouncing the cubes away, completely unable to halt his advance.

Hashirama recognized it at once. "Those are Madara's gunbai, aren't they? I remember it shattered during our battle."

Neji reacted too. "After the war, Natsuki gave all the gunbai fragments to Sasuke. Looks like Sasuke reforged what was left into two small shields. The gunbai was made from God Tree material and has the power to deflect any ninjutsu. I didn't expect it could even deflect these bizarre cubes!"

"Don't hesitate! Let's back Sasuke up!"

Naruto made the call instantly. He used Tajū Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Multiple Shadow Clone Technique), sending a huge number of shadow clones charging forward to put pressure on Isshiki.

At the very least, they had to split the enemy's attention.
