A flash of green light exploded in the air.

With both the Poison Lich and the Poison Starburst skill unleashed together, the puppets suffered tremendous damage every second.

The Ice Lich further slowed them down, and when combined with the Deterioration Curse, their speed dropped drastically.

Meanwhile, the Wind Lich accelerated the movements of the undead troops.

With the enemy slowed and his own forces moving faster, Lin Moyu’s troops quickly gained a decisive speed advantage.

Thunder rumbled above as lightning crashed down repeatedly, paralyzing the puppets bit by bit.

These puppets possessed a deep understanding of skills—on par with God-level experts. Their only weakness was the lack of overwhelming raw power.

Lin Moyu didn’t dare to underestimate them. He treated them with the utmost seriousness, deploying everything at his disposal—except for the Primordial Runes and the Elemental Liches’ self-destruction.

Just as the puppets broke free from one encirclement, they were immediately trapped in another.

At that moment, the third statue stirred—awakening as a Knight Puppet.

Sensing the peril faced by its companions, the statue came to life.

A shield shot into the air, expanding rapidly as it tried to repel the skeletons and rescue the surrounded puppets.

“I’ve been waiting for this!”.

Having suffered once before, he wasn’t about to repeat the same mistake.

This time, he was fully prepared. The instant the third puppet awakened, the undead troops sprang into action.

Elemental Explosions targeted the shield, bombarding it mercilessly. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

In the blink of an eye, more than five thousand explosions detonated simultaneously, blowing the shield away.

The Skeletal Marksmen immediately aimed at the Knight Puppet.

A thunderous volley followed; ten thousand arrows crackling with lightning poured down like a torrential storm.

The Knight Puppet was instantly covered in arrows, with countless more still falling.

With a furious roar, its aura erupted outward. It shook off the arrows and raised its shield once more, blocking the incoming barrage.

Next, it recalled its shield and leaped into the air, charging straight toward Lin Moyu.

Lin Moyu smiled faintly, “They even know to target the Summoner.”

The fact that these puppets could coordinate, provide cover, and even understand the strategy of capturing the leader to win the battle, spoke volumes of their creator’s brilliance.

Lin Moyu couldn’t help but make a comparison.

Meng Anwen, too, could craft puppets, but his creations were far inferior to these.

Creating level 80 puppets with near-God-level combat strength was beyond his reach; he couldn’t even produce level 70 ones.

In that sense, the previous age was far more formidable than the present.

Lin Moyu longed to take one of these puppets back for study. But he knew such a wish was unrealistic.

A massive fireball blazed into existence in the sky, an inferno over a hundred meters wide.

At that moment, another puppet stirred to life. This time, it was a Mage.

The fireball plummeted toward the ground, yet Lin Moyu remained utterly calm.

He commanded his undead army to face the impact head-on.

By now, the Archer Puppet and Swordsman Puppet were both at their limits.

Lin Moyu chose to eliminate them first.

The fireball detonated midair, flooding the battlefield with searing light.

Lin Moyu’s vision burned red and gold as the explosion roared.

But beneath the noise, he heard it: the sound of puppets shattering.

A faint smile touched his lips. The Archer Puppet and Swordsman Puppet were destroyed.

Closing his eyes, Lin Moyu shifted his senses to that of his skeletons.

Unaffected by the blaze, the skeletons were already charging toward the Mage.

But before they could reach their target, the remaining eight statues came to life at once.

Two brilliant beams of light descended from above, striking the broken remains of the Archer Puppet and Swordsman Puppet.

Before Lin Moyu’s astonished eyes, the fragments began to reassemble rapidly.

The two puppets—just slain moments ago—stood whole once more.

“Resurrection?” Lin Moyu muttered in disbelief, “That’s a resurrection skill!”

His gaze darted toward two puppets dressed like Healers.

It was their doing, their power had revived the fallen puppets.

Excitement sparked across Lin Moyu’s face, “Resurrection skill... it really exists! A lost art from the previous age.”

“So back then, class users truly possessed the power to bring back the dead.”

His eyes gleamed with desire. He wanted that skill, but he knew it was far beyond reach.

Now, all twelve puppets stood awakened, forming a complete party: two Knights, two Swordsmen, two Archers, three Mages, two Healers, and one support.

The Support Puppet raised its hands, casting powerful buffs across the group, amplifying every attribute.

Even surrounded by the undead army, they had nothing to fear. Their combat prowess was overwhelming.

No matter how fiercely the undead troops attacked, they couldn't break through the defensive perimeter.

The puppets fought without restraint, their strikes sending skeletons flying like shattered glass in a storm.

Led by the Knights, the puppet party drove through the undead army ranks, charging toward Lin Moyu like a sharpened arrow.

The undead army couldn’t stop them, only slow their advance.

Lin Moyu remained calm. He knew things couldn’t continue like this.

There were only two ways to break the deadlock: use a Primordial Rune, or trigger an Elemental Lich’s self-destruction.

He didn’t hesitate. The back of his left hand began to glow.

Skill: Enhance Troops.

At once, the undead army’s power surged more than tenfold.

The Skeletal Berserk Warriors cast their skills, their axes crashing down on the puppets like thunder, each strike dealing heavy damage.

The Knight Puppets responded at the same time.

Skill: Group Extreme Defense!

A flowing light spread from them, coating every puppet.

“Extreme Defense can be used on others? That’s… a lost skill.”

Once again, the puppets revealed secrets of the past that amazed him.

So many abilities from the previous age had vanished, too many to count.

Then, the Mages lifted their stave, which burst into radiant blue light.

A shimmering shield appeared around each puppet.

Even the Mages’ Shield skill could be shared with others.

Lin Moyu was speechless. Yet the thought struck him, his own Bone Armor could also be used on others.

Could that mean his skills were relics of the previous age as well?

Had his very class existed back then—lost to history and now reborn through him?

The more traces of that forgotten era he encountered, the stronger his curiosity grew.

He longed to travel back in time, to witness with his own eyes the glorious world of class users in its prime.

The Knight Puppets, working in tandem with the Mages’ defensive skill, managed to withstand the undead army’s onslaught, even though the skeletons were empowered by the Enhance Troops skill.

The two Healers were incredibly strong, their skills almost godlike, on par with God-level Healers.

Lin Moyu was taken aback. The Enhance Troops skill had been rendered completely ineffective.

“I only have one move left!”

He retrieved Solidified Fire God's Blood Essence but hesitated. After a brief pause, he put it away.

“It’s not enough. Solidified Fire God’s Blood Essence holds only the strength of a fake God-level strike. That won’t do.”

After a moment of contemplation, Lin Moyu drew out another Poison God’s Blood Essence.

Unlike the Solidified Fire God’s Blood Essence, this one radiated a far stronger power.

That was the difference between a mere fake God and a true level 93 God. There was no comparison.

At this point, Lin Moyu could no longer afford to hold back.

Even if it meant flooding the dungeon with poison, he had to destroy the puppets and secure victory.

He would claim the reward for this trial.

The Poison Lich surged forward, plunging into the ranks of the puppets.

Two seconds later, a sharp crack, like an eggshell shattering, echoed across the battlefield.

A wave of green light erupted, engulfing the entire puppet party.

To ensure none escaped, Lin Moyu even sacrificed several Skeletal Berserk Warriors.

The poison spread rapidly, corroding the puppets’ bodies. One after another, they crumbled into fragments, disintegrating completely as their damage thresholds were exceeded.

“It’s done.” Lin Moyu clapped his hands, satisfaction gleaming in his eyes.

The move had worked—a single, devastating strike that wiped them all out.

Following the path ahead, Lin Moyu soon arrived at a pavilion, with identical stone table and stone box.

This time, Lin Moyu stepped inside himself and lifted the box.

As he opened it, countless starlike lights burst forth, soaring into the sky. The radiant glow was breathtaking.

Lin Moyu murmured in awe, “This is skill light.”

He recognized it; it was the same light that appeared when activating Flash Skill Scrolls.

A surge of excitement stirred within him.

The brilliant, star-like jade inside the box was unmistakably skill-related.

He recalled a legend he once read in the imperial family’s secret vault, one he had dismissed as mere myth.

“It was said that in ancient times, there existed Skill Divine Stones—artifacts capable of defying the very laws of creation.”

“Could this be one of them?”

He cast the Detection spell.

A moment later, Lin Moyu’s entire body trembled with uncontrollable excitement.
