Among all the world rank bosses Lin Moyu had slain, the Deep-Sea Octopus likely met the most pitiful end.

Because of its Tentacle Substitution trait, it couldn’t be killed instantly.

Instead, it was dismembered piece by piece. It was utterly helpless from start to finish.

With Enhance Power active, it took less than a dozen seconds to reap a massive amount of EXP.

[Killed Deep-Sea Octopus, EXP +**]

[Obtained Deep-Sea Sword]

[Obtained Deep-Sea Ring]

[Obtained Water Crystal]

[Obtained Water Divine Stone]

[Deep-Sea Sword: quasi-legendary-grade weapon, all attributes +90,000, increases the power of Knight-type skills by 160%. Attached skill: Water Bind.]

[Water Bind: slows the target’s movement speed for 30 seconds. Cooldown: 5 minutes.]

[Deep-Sea Ring: quasi-legendary-grade accessory, all attributes +20,000, increases the power of water element skills by 50%, reduces the damage of water elemental skills by 20%, increases water elemental immunity by 30%.]

[Water Crystal Stone: legendary-grade material, filled with the water element, can be used to forge legendary-grade equipment.]

[Water Greater Gem: permanently raises water elemental immunity to 80% and grants a chance to awaken a water elemental skill.]

A flicker of satisfaction crossed Lin Moyu’s eyes as he reviewed the loot.

It had been a long time since he’d obtained an item that increased elemental immunity.

At present, he was completely immune to poison, light, and lightning.

Among the common elements, only water, fire, and wind remained capped at 50%.

Raising elemental immunity was notoriously difficult.

Now, his water elemental immunity could reach 80%—the standard ceiling.

Without extraordinary luck, pushing it any higher would be nearly impossible.

Lin Moyu deactivated the Focus Power skill and descended back to the seabed, approaching the godhead.

It was no larger than a fist, surrounded by violently swirling law.

This law was hostile; the godhead of a high-tier God was not something anyone was qualified to touch.

Unwilling to clash with the law, Lin Moyu took out the Holy Melody Wind Chime and murmured, “Withdraw your law. I will take you back to Kunlun.”

The Holy Melody Wind Chime resonated softly. The godhead of the God of Holy Melody trembled in response, and the surrounding law gradually dissipated.

“It seems the God of Holy Melody still retains a soul remnant.” Lin Moyu mused.

Though the God of Holy Melody had fallen, she hadn’t completely perished.

She must have preserved a fragment of her soul. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have understood his words.

He placed the godhead together with the Holy Melody Wind Chime and stored them away.

His agreement with the Kunlun Great God was now largely fulfilled.

As Lin Moyu began his ascent, he abruptly halted.

“The currents… have changed.”

His soul sense far exceeded his eyesight, allowing him to detect the anomaly at once.

Deep within the trench lay the corpse of the Deep-Sea Octopus, its body leaking vast amounts of venomous, glowing green ink that stained the surrounding waters pitch-black.

Under normal circumstances, the currents would have pressed everything deeper into the abyss.

But now, the flow was reversing, dragging everything upward.

The shift was subtle, yet its timing was troubling.

Based on where the godhead had fallen, Lin Moyu judged that the currents had remained unchanged for hundreds of years.

For them to reverse now meant something abnormal was occurring.

The currents streamed out of the trench, heading toward the Savagewild Continent.

Beneath the continent lay a layer of ice several hundred meters thick, separating it from the Green Dragon Ocean.

The currents surged straight toward that icy layer.

Following their path, Lin Moyu spotted an opening beneath the ice.

Vast quantities of water were pouring into it.

After observing for a moment, he realized this wasn’t a natural phenomenon.

It felt as though some force was actively drawing the water in.

Gripping Antares’s scale, he followed the currents to investigate.

Before long, a familiar divine aura brushed against his senses.

“The Water God!”

Long ago, he had obtained the Water God’s Flute and the Water God’s Key from the water elemental dungeon.

The divine aura he sensed now matched those items perfectly.

The passage opened into an immense frozen cavern, hundreds of meters high and stretching more than 1,000 meters deep.

At its center rose a pale-blue palace carved entirely from ice, radiating an overwhelming chill.

Any water that entered the cavern was instantly broken down into pure water element and drawn toward the palace.

“The Water God’s Palace.” Lin Moyu murmured.

The divine aura here was dense yet stagnant.

“The Water God hasn’t awakened yet.”

Having encountered many Gods, Lin Moyu could easily distinguish between those that were dead, awake, or merely sleeping.

At the palace gate, he produced the Water God’s Key—a fist-sized block of ice containing several drops of flowing liquid.

The key drifted forward and fused seamlessly with the gate.

With a deep groan, the gate opened, releasing a torrent of condensed water element.

Lin Moyu’s Bone Armor flared, blocking the freezing surge.

No one knew how long the palace had remained sealed. The accumulated water element within was staggering, and the biting cold was its physical manifestation.

Water existed in many forms—heavy and light, frozen and scalding.

From what Lin Moyu understood, the Water God specialized in the low-temperature water element.

As the gate stood open, Lin Moyu stepped inside, calm and unafraid.

He had sensed no law aura. At most, the Water God was a mid-tier God around level 95.

Against such an opponent, if he went all out, Lin Moyu had a genuine chance of killing them.

The palace interior was entirely ice. Fountains lined the halls, constantly spewing the water element and divine aura.

Hundreds of massive ice sculptures stood throughout, exquisitely crafted.

Lin Moyu had seen similar carvings in the Water God’s Courtyard before, and they had left a deep impression on him.

The Water God’s understanding of beauty was remarkable.

The water element filled the air; divine aura saturated the space. Lin Moyu moved slowly, admiring the statues one by one.

They depicted sword-wielding warriors, axe-bearing giants, Gods grasping flames—each exquisite and lifelike.

Each statue represented a God.

“So many Gods…” Lin Moyu sighed.

He had known the Gods were numerous in the past, but this exceeded all expectations.

These statues alone represented several hundred Gods.

A sweep of his soul force confirmed it precisely—681 statues.

And there were likely Gods who had not been carved into statues.

Gods were the equivalents of God-level human class users, Abyssal Demon Kings, and Dragon Kings.

Yet even at humanity’s peak, there had been only a few dozen God-level class users—perhaps 100 at most.

The Abyss held around 300 Demon Kings, and the Dragonkind barely exceeded 100 Dragon Kings.

Even combined, the three races fell short of the Gods.

And yet, for reasons unknown, the Gods had all fallen.

The few who remained alive had gone into hiding, rarely showing themselves.

Among the Gods Lin Moyu had encountered, only one had truly been alive, and he had personally killed that one.

“If the Gods had survived to this day, there wouldn’t be any place left for the three races.”

Passing through rows of statues, Lin Moyu entered the palace’s second courtyard.

The statues here were different. They no longer depicted Gods, but enormous monsters.

At the very center stood a colossal statue. The moment Lin Moyu saw it, his expression changed.

“A Dreadbeast King!”

“No—wait. That’s not it.”

He immediately dismissed the thought.

He had seen a Dreadbeast King with his own eyes. While this statue shared some similarities, it was not the same.

His gaze shifted to another statue nearby.

That one was a Dreadbeast King.

Compared to the central statue, it was clearly smaller, both in scale and presence.

In that instant, Lin Moyu was certain.

The existence represented by the central statue was far more powerful than Dreadbeast Kings.
