Necropolis Immortal-Chapter 2212.2: Ghost Zombies
Chapter 2212.2: Ghost Zombies
Ugly looked Lu Yun up and down and smacked his lips.
“You steal valuables and do not take your pleasure, or you take my pleasure and do not steal valuables?” Lu Yun didn’t mind the gaze—what kind of person hadn’t he seen in his three thousand lifetimes? Regardless, Ugly’s words briefly took him aback—why did they sound so familiar?
“Do you have valuables or can you offer me pleasure?” Ugly repeated.
Some of the cultivators watching the show abruptly recalled something shocking as they looked at Ugly. They swiftly turned tail and ran, unwilling to be in his vicinity.
“This young master has neither.” Lu Yun spread out his hands; he recalled who this person was. Fengxian Wu had cursed him out plenty of times when she resided at the Lu residence. Plainly, he was the one who’d robbed her of all her valuables and inflicted heavy injuries on her.
“Heh heh, then be my pet.” A golden collar appeared in Ugly’s hand and he waved it around. Standing next to him, Ouyang Shengtian smirked coldly. Given what he knew of Lu Yun, a vicious fight was about to ensue. But as strong as the Lu young master was, he was no match for Ugly.
The latter’s cultivation was soul separation, but his battle strength… He’d robbed more than one combination cultivator on their way here.
“Um…” Lu Yun scratched his head and asked in innocent tones, “Bro, you do know I’m the grandson of the most powerful in Jade Ruins Realms, right?”
Ugly paused.
“And um… you do know that two golden immortals answer to my grandfather’s banner?” Lu Yun continued.
Ugly blinked.
“So… do you think my grandfather would’ve let me come here by myself?” Lu Yun concluded merrily. If he hadn’t transmitted orders to Terra Demon seconds ago, the man would’ve already smacked Ugly and Ouyang Shengtian to death. The ugly young man held his fair share of secrets and Lu Yun wanted to know what they were.
“Eh… ahem, isn’t the weather good today!” Ugly changed the topic. A thundercloud quickly scuttled across the sky and covered the sun after his words. “Since you have no valuables, young master Lu, you will bring me pleasure!”
He ignored everyone’s gazes and bawled in his broken voice, “From now on, Lu Yun is Mo Ran’s consort! I will show no mercy to any man or woman who dares approach him!”
Lu Yun: ……
His mind spun and bile bubbled up at the back of his throat. So this guy likes men…
“You’re right, the weather is indeed good today. I’m outta here!” Lu Yun’s hands formed a seal, taking him away from the scene.
Ouyang Shengtian stared dumbly at Ugly and subconsciously clamped his legs together. Should he just end things and detonate his nascent soul right now?
“Don’t worry, you’re not my type.” Ugly rolled his eyes at the Ouyang young master.
……
“That ugly young man is a crafty fellow, it’s just that his methods are a bit awkward.” Having entered the formation array, Lu Yun chuckled ruefully as he thought of what’d just happened.
Ugly had been concerned about the Terra Demon hidden beside Lu Yun. He’d made that surprising announcement to scare off the Lu young master and prevent further confrontation. More friction would develop if the two of them remained on the scene.
Just as Ugly was on the alert against Terra Demon, so was Lu Yun cautious of the mysterious young man. The former’s methods certainly left a… deep impression.
All was foggy within the formation. The assembly of ninety-nine mid rank formations gave rise to a strength that ordinary formations could not measure up to. Even the current Lu Yun could do nothing in the face of this assembly.
He adopted a prudent manner and opened the Eye of Nullification to scan everything within fifty kilometers.
“Aouu!” A bright red being flung itself at him, crossing several kilometers within the blink of an eye.
Lu Yun could clearly see that it was a cultivator, but it no longer looked human. A bloody light enveloped it and the Eye of Nullification could make out a decrepit, rotting body beneath.
“It’s this thing alright,” Lu Yun sighed. Immensely tense, Immortals Forbidden appeared in his hand. The term “ghost zombie” was suppressed as soon as it arose in the depths of his memories.
Hummm!
Crimson light exploded from Immortals Forbidden, as scintillating as a miniature sun. A dozen rays of sword light flared from its point and slashed down on the bloody being.
Bam!
It ruptured the bloody head, dispersing the light around it. The being toppled over as a rotten corpse of a cultivator.
“All of the cultivators that entered before have likely turned into these things.” Lu Yun sped toward the eye of the formation array with Immortals Forbidden upraised. Five thousand kilometers wasn’t too far for him.
“I wonder how Bloodbath and Gui Xie are.” He could see everything within fifty kilometers, so he easily dodged all of the bloody beings.
Given his methods, entering the array with a team of soul projection cultivators would be attaching deadweight to himself. As for those stronger, they wouldn’t think much of Lu Yun. Thus, it was better for him to venture forth by himself. That offered a certain degree of flexibility and he didn’t need to be beholden to anyone else.
Bloodbath and Gui Xie had arrived at the valley before him as a vanguard. They’d likely entered the formation array since Lu Yun didn’t see them outside. They were respectively combination and tribulation stage. With Terra Demon’s tutelage, their strength advanced by leaps and bounds everyday. He wasn’t worried about them.
The Eye of Nullification wasn’t constantly active since the combat arts of heavenly dao exhausted mental capacity, even though they didn’t drain Hongmeng qi. Lu Yun opened it once every one hundred kilometers to scan his immediate vicinity.
“Damn it, what are those things? Why won’t they die?!” Sounds of fierce fighting came from up ahead, most likely some of the cultivators that’d entered before him.
Three young men and one young woman that were all soul separation faced down a bloody being. It was wholly unafraid and emitted ghastly shrieks, pouncing on the four with a haze of bloody light. There was no rhyme or reason to its attacks. It barged about like a berserk wild beast, somehow suppressing the four cultivators.
The sword light from their weapons were all from lower dao rank blades. They were stronger than Ouyang Shengtian. Plainly, they were elites from Great Xia.
Their sword light bit into the bloody being and pulverized it to pieces. The chunks of flesh regathered the next second and reformed into the creature. It continued unabated, like nothing had happened, and charged the young woman who happened to be the weakest among them.
The young girl of eighteen years old wore a jade-green dress and randomly waved her weapon around. Her previously orderly attacks were dissolving into confusion, and it was obvious to see that she didn’t have much battle experience. While her cultivation was high, she was a flower in a greenhouse. All thought had flown out of her head as she faced the bloody creature with the rotting presence.
“Dodge it, little sis!” desperately roared a man with a luxurious hat.
The creature was so fast that the other three didn’t have time to react. The younger girl could already see a maw dripping with decrepit liquid coming for her.
Whoosh!
Crimson light flashed across her field of vision before the creature’s head exploded. Rotting flesh sprayed in all directions. Her green dress was a dao treasure as well; it raised a curtain of green light to protect its owner from the fallout.
Thump!
The ferocious creature fell to the ground, lacking its haze of bloody light and its head. The girl couldn’t help but bend over and throw up.
“Little sis!”
“Junior sister Ling!” The other three quickly flew over to support the girl.
“Many thanks to fellow daoist for your help! Ling Chu is extremely grateful!” The man in the luxurious hat quickly raised a cupped fist salute when he saw Lu Yun gracefully fly in on the back of his sword. The other two helping the girl also gave thanks when they walked over.
Four streams of strong goodwill flowed into the Seal of the Multitude.
“It was just a passing favor, think nothing of it.” Lu Yun waved them off with a smile.
“I am Ling Chu, this is my younger sister Ling Ling.” Ling Chu looked to be twenty-four, but was already latter soul separation. Naturally, Lu Yun could tell his true age was over fifty.
Ling Ling was truly only eighteen years old, the same as Lu Yun. She was already initial soul separation, hampered only by her lack of battle experience. She must spend her days sparring with others and had never experienced true combat.
Of the other two, the one in green dao robes was named Shi Jian and was the same cultivation as Ling Chu. The other young man looked the same age as Ling Ling. Handsome and dressed in long white robes, he was mid soul separation and named Song Yi.
What surprised Lu Yun was that all four were disciples of the Great Xia Dao Academy.
