Introduction:
As you may be aware...or not, every combatant worth their salt is classified in different ranks. Starting from rank D all the way up to rank SSS. Our beloved queen is the only living example of an S rank, so don't get your hopes up and get yourself killed early. You still have a debt to your soil and if you can't repay then you were nothing but a waste of good Aestonian air.
Now here are the general rules for you to keep in mind:-

Note: Dexterity determines whether an attack will land. A magic attack will only be effective against an enemy if the dexterity of the caster is higher than or equal to the M.DEF of the enemy. In case of physical attacks, the dexterity of the caster must be higher or equal to the enemy's defense but to land the blow effectively agility must be higher or nearly equal to the enemy's agility as well.

Note: M.ATK is the multiplier that determines the strength of a caster's attack. For example, if the M.ATK is 2x and the spell being cast deals 100 damage, the resulting spell can be visualized like this:
2 x Spell Damage, here 2x is the multiplier and spell damage is the base damage.
2 x 100 = 200 - resulting damage by a D rank personale casting a 100 dmg spell.
M.DEF:

Note: If the M.DEF of an enemy is greater than the dexterity of the caster then the spell does incur damage to the enemy but its effectiveness is 1/4th and sometimes 1/2th the intended damage. Magic attacks can be repelled, countered, but can't miss or be outrun–which in turn removes the necessity for a magic caster to be high in agility to land the blow as would be required for a physical fighter.
Final note for the section: Not all stats need to reach a certain threshold for the person to rank up. Some classes only require some of the stats to reach a certain ceiling and that's it. Lastly, the illustrated numbers are average estimations, not strict guidelines as rank up happen at different stages of mastery for different people.

Note: Physical attackers must overcome both agility and the defence of the enemy to land an effective blow. Agility should be nearly the same or higher which would help the caster hit the enemy, and once the attack connects, that's when the defence comes in and if the attacker's strength is higher than the enemy's defence then the entire damage of their assault lands on the enemy, otherwise only about a tenth of that power is felt.
Unlike M.ATk, Strength is not a multiplier of the attacker's skill but rather the base damage done by the attacker with a simple punch or a similar attack. This is further strengthened by their physical skills and added stat boost by their equipped weapon.
Examples:- A rank D using a weapon can deal his base damage plus the weapon's added strength stat, along with the power drawn from a skill. To illustrate the point would be something like this.
250 base+1000 skill+125 weapon - here 250 is base damage from the attacker, 1000 is damage boost via the use of skill, and lastly, 125 is the boost in the strength stat provided to the caster by their weapon.
In the end;
250+1000+125 = 1375 - resulting damage

Note: Being a hybrid comes with many disadvantages, including stunted growth due to impossibly high standards, meaning getting the absolute best of both magic and non-magic user stats, only a storied few have ever achieved mastery as a hybrid user.
Many hopefuls can't do so due to illness, injury or the lack of the affinity to cast magic. And even those who are free of such ailments either lack conviction or commit to doing something less tedious–a wise choice the latter or so says the most sagacious on Aestonia.

All Stats Plus Intent:
Strength - Determines the Physical Strength of the caster's Physical attacks. Mainly for non-magic users or hybrids.
Defence - Defends or dulls the enemy's physical attacks. If the Attacker's strength is less than the defender's defence, near to no damage is dealt to the defender, otherwise full force of the damage is dealt assuming Dexterity and agility match or are higher for the attacker.
Dexterity - Likelihood of an attack landing on an enemy based on rank(for physical attacks, Dexterity and Agility must be nearly equal or higher than the enemy's defence. Agility is needed to first land the attack and then dexterity to draw full advantage of the attack.
For magical attacks, Dexterity must be equal to or higher than the enemy's M.DEF to draw full advantage of spells. Note: Spells can follow enemies and match their agility on their own, thus they require no agility from the caster's stats.
Agility - A character's speed, both physical and mental. If the caster's speed is higher than the enemy's, the effect of the enemy's defence and M.DEF are nearly halved. The outcome may depend on the caster's tactics still, for example - a swift ambush would further strengthen the attack's effectiveness, while at the same time, a straight-on swift assault wouldn't be as effective and a failed one could possibly leave the caster in a state of shock.
M.ATk - Multiplier for magic abilities A basic spell cast by different ranks of people will have different results, the higher the multiplier the stronger even the most basic of attacks.
M.DEF - Defends against magic attacks. If the defender's M.DEF is lower than the enemy's Dexterity or is equal to it, they will face the full force of said attack, at the same time if the defender's M.DEF is higher, they will suffer less than a tenth of any magic attacks i.e if they don't dispel it outright.
HP&MP - Health and mana, both scale upwards with training and ranking up. A healthy lifestyle affects both stats, meaning–timely meals, exercise(physical and mental), sexual wellbeing(regular and varied sexual experiences help both of them grow dramatically), and lastly–the lack of sickness and status ailment like poison or status degradation by any magic of monster skills.

Rank B = As strong as six Rank C Militia, can take down all mobs under Rank B easily.
