Netori SSS-Emperor: All Queens Shall Be Mine!-Chapter 41: A Battle Of Magic - Part 2
Chapter 41 - A Battle Of Magic - Part 2
As the sorceress's trident dug deep into the prince's shoulder, a wave of gasps rippled through the arena, and along with it came curses hurling at the reptilian. The people–at least those who loved William, couldn't bear to look at him in such a broken state, however, unbothered by their boos and chants, Kukei flung William's body to the wall along him with the trident.
"FLIGHT!" Midway through the air, the prince screamed out a spell and broke the spine of his momentum. Lifting himself in the air with the trident still stuck in him, he looked at it fierce with bloodshot angry eyes. "Reflect magic! Physical Nullification!"
Casting one spell after the other, he reflected both the physical and magic damage being done to him by the trident. Popping out of his shoulder to the power bounce, the weapon twirled in the air before planting itself on the ground.
Matching Kukei's skyward gaze, William placed a hand on his shoulder and healed it with the spell Thymedia. And although his injuries healed in a moment, the pain lingering through his arm lingered.
"GET DOWN HERE YOU COWARD!" Screamed the sorceress, her eyes glaring at Price William.
Rushing to the trident with the beast skill 'Charge', she grabbed her weapon and threw it at William again. Moving out of the trident's way, the prince avoided it easily. Watching the weapon fall back to the ground, William knew that it was time to end this battle.
"I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOUR LOUD MOUTH!" as frustrated as Kukei if not more the dark mage, stretched his arm forward. Casting multiple spells at once, he used an immense amount of mana to conjure a dozen golem. "Conjure Golem! Conjure Magna Golem! Conjure Aqua Golem! Conjure Blizza Golem!"
Summoning more and more until Kukei was utterly surrounded, William smirked wide while continuing to float at a safe distance away. With a mana pool so immense it was near unimaginable to the regular person, the young prince could've conjured golems all day and even then, he wouldn't run out of everything.
But, the same wasn't true for his opponent.
"ARGH!" Gripping her trident firm, Kukei began backing away from the encroaching golems. Some were formed from mounds of dirt, the others from magma, and the rest from water and ice chunks. Donning the appearance of a shrunken giant, their fists were taller and wider than her body and their shoulders were as broad as a wall. Being cornered by them, she had no choice but to fight them head-on.
Giving William one scornful glance, she closed her eyes and slammed the trident against the glass. The sound of the golems coming closer and closer drummed in her ears, but waiting for the pitter-patter of rain, she kept her eyes closed until the rain cloud appeared and it began raining again.
Lifting her head to the sky, her body was cast in the tall shade of the golems. Some were burning as bright as the sun, while the other made her breaths turn cold and visible.
Ignoring their raised fists, she gripped the trident hard, and it shattered into fragments of blue light. Slowly trailing into her body through the skin, the light dissipated and merged with the caster. Water rose from Kukei's feet and formed a flowing stream over her entire body, and just as the golems struck her, the ritual was complete.
The slamming of fists masked the arena with a misty haze. The different elements of the golems had clashed obscuring the arena in a mist again. But as the mist subsided, Kukei's body was revealed unharmed. The running water covering her body had taken the form of a semi-masculine lizard woman. Burning with steam inside the layers of water, the sorceress appeared as a monster with shark-like jaws and claws akin to a tiger.
"GUAAAAHHHH!" Like the screaming of a kraken, her voice rumbled through the stadium.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT NOW?!"
"THIS GIRL'S FUCKING CRAZY!"
"I-Is it safe here?"
The crowd's corners grew sharper by the minute. Even the queen wasn't spared the shock, for in her mind, William had already won the battle but that was obviously not the case. Slamming her fists against the golems no matter the elements, Kukei knocked them out of her way and used the ones on the back as stepping stones to jump towards William.
Her agility boosted twice as much thanks to the transformation, the mage never even saw the sorceress leaping at him and grabbing him by the cape. Clawing the cape as they fell, the Raindance sorceress got rid of the annoying flight spell. Then turning towards William's face, her mouth salivated like a rabid hound, she opened her jaws and dug into his neck.
"AHHH! GET OFF OF ME!" William tried to punch the crazed sorceress, but his hands were sucked into her water-form body. Growing a pair of icy fangs, the same that she'd used to chew her way through her arm, Kukei spared him no agony as she dug them into William's hand and snacked away at half of it.
Writhing in pain, the true prince began to lose consciousness, however, teetering at the edge of his senses, he felt Kukei's assault growing weaker by the second.

"T-thymedia!" Healing himself, he crawled out of her grip.
His eyes glued on the sorceress, the prince watched her body sulk to the ground. Heavy-eyed, the sorceress succumbed to weariness and with her mana spent entirely, she had no way to continue fighting. Snoring against the glass, her Raindance sorceress ability form came undone.
Clenching his bleeding hand, the very same that she'd bit directly, Williams's eyes turned to Kukei's hand injury. To his surprise, her torn hand had returned just as the trident had beside her. Glancing at his palm, he couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy, for while the sorceress was fine, he was missing a few fingers and a great chunk of his hand.
'T-that was close...' He thought, having narrowly escaped the more dire of injuries.
"Prince William is the victor!" Walking up to the window, Astoria announced the conclusion of yet another unhinged battle.
