Chapter 1111: A Fate Worse Than Death

The next moment, everything turned black for the demon, as his vision swam and his head spun, before he felt himself reappear inside an empty room.

He recognized this plane and the energy that composed it and started laughing to himself.

"Ha... Ha ha... HAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Standing up with reinvigorated aplomb, he looked around, searching for the telltale light of the inside of a mortal’s mind. Finding it in the distance, he dashed toward it, yelling at his would-be captor.

"You stupid mongrel! Trapping me inside your own mind is the stupidest thing you could have ever done to a demon’s soul, hahaha! Now, I will take you from the inside and let you kill your own loved ones!"

He ran for a minute before realizing the light wasn’t getting closer.

’How big is this darned place?’ he wondered, getting a weird chill down his spine.

And the next second, something strange happened.

The light got even further.

"What the..."

However, before he could finish his thought, it completely disappeared, and a voice whispered in the surrounding darkness.

"Hmm... An intruder? That’s strange. I never thought someone would be stupid enough to invade the master’s mind."

A scantily clad woman appeared further ahead, sauntering toward the demon intruder with a salacious grin on her lips.

"Perhaps the master has decided to give me a gift for behaving so well lately, hihi!" she giggled, bringing her hand to her mouth cutely.

But even though her body would be any man’s wet dream, her face gave away her true nature, with the horns sprouting from her head and the sharp teeth within her smile.

"A succubus? Why in the nine hells would a mortal have a succubus in his mind? Are you the one the mortal has a contract with?" the demon asked, not recognizing his kin."

The grin disappeared from Paimon’s lips.

"A succu—You insolent low breed! How can an incubus like you not even recognize his queen?!" she growled.

The demon frowned.

"As if the King of the Avernus would ever take the form of a lowly succubus. Hah! Wench, know your place!" the demon scoffed, walking toward Paimon, covering the last few steps between them and raising his hand to strike her.

But the moment his hand reached apogee, an instinctual fear washed over him, spawning from the inside of his body.

Paimon’s eyes were locked on his, a bestial rage seething from them, as if ready to pounce on this lowly incubus and devour him for his insolence.

And she would have, had another being not appeared next to her and put its hand on her shoulder.

The rasping voice of her most feared ally grated her ears.

"The master didn’t send him here for us to devour. He must be reminded of home for a while, before I deal with his soul. He is not your plaything," he said, looking at Paimon with warning eyes.

"Or any of yours, either," he added, looking around in the darkness.

Meanwhile, the demon was still locked in place, sweating bullets as his eyes refused to leave Paimon’s beastly gaze. All he could see in them was eternal darkness and the gaze of a monster ready to devour him whole.

The sudden appearance of this... thing next to her hadn’t done anything to restore his motricity.

But the appearance of seven other massive pressures forced him to his hands and knees, and he wheezed as his lungs fought for air.

Even while contained, the force they exerted on him put them at the very least on prince level in hell. It was a miracle his soul didn’t shatter when they appeared, frankly.

The fact that they looked at the warped being next to the succubus-looking demon with a mix of annoyance and fear meant it was stronger than them.

"What *huff huff* What... are you?" the lowly demon asked.

The warped being looked at him with sorrowful eyes.

"For you? The worst result imaginable. Your jailer, judge, jury, and executioner," it said in a two-toned voice with a tinge of sadness.

"You should have simply accepted your fate. Now, your soul will never see the great cycle again..." it added.

The demon’s eyes, which were already filled with fear for its existence in the presence of all the powerful beings, grew wider at the realization.

’Shit! Fuck! I need to get out of here!’ he thought, panic settling in.

He watched as the warped being lowered itself next to him, slowly reaching out its hand toward his head, just like the mortal had, and gently brushed its fingers against his forehead.

His vision swam again, reappearing in an enclosed room where the heat instantly assailed his body. That alone was something he shouldn’t be bothered with, ever since he had become a demon, but something else assaulted his body and mind.

Something he had long forgotten. Incomprehensible pain and fear.

A scream welled inside him, leaving his lungs and shooting up to his lips, escaping in a prolonged howl of terror and pain.

The echo of many more accompanied his howl, as he realized where he was, hanging from the ceiling on several rusty meat hooks, planted in his arms and torso, leaving his legs to dangle over a pit fire far below.

He was back in hell, where he had first been damned to when he died, killed by one man he had stolen women from. His life of debauchery had never once made him think he would end up in hell, since he didn’t believe in it as a living being.

When he had first ended up here, after being shot in the face by a disgruntled husband, who found him in bed with his wife, the woman drugged out of her mind. ƒгeewёbnovel.com

The thought of being returned here, as a mortal soul, not as a demon, instilled primal fear inside him. What they had done to him, for who knew how long until he became one of them, was not something he wanted to live through again.

"Please! Not this! Let me die!" he begged, looking up to where he hoped he would see the warped being.

But he only met a ceiling filled with spikes.

"Oh, but you poor little human. You are already dead, gnyak gnyak gnyak!" a little imp laughed, stabbing his thigh with a red-hot fire poker.

"Welcome to hell!" a few more chimed in as they shuffled into his cell.

"NOOOO!!!!!!!"
