Grey swiftly left the inner space with a confident smile plastered on his face.
He was back in the mansion. The halls were silent and empty. The Fragment had already spent its time clearing away the dead bodies of the fallen servants and the magistrate, leaving no trace of the massacre that had occurred.
"Can you form some barriers to isolate the surroundings?"
"Yep."
The Fragment casually snapped its fingers.

Several formations sprung out from the void, interlocking and sealing the space. It held the knowledge of countless worlds it had devoured, so naturally, it came with a library of formations. All it had to do was set them up using the natural energy of this world.
"Perfect." Grey smiled, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.
He took a deep breath and began the process.
The Fragment, on the other hand, floated to the side to watch for irregularities. It made sure that nobody came close to the mansion, although it knew deep down that eventually, no barrier would be able to contain the monster that Grey was becoming.

The Nexus Energy that was just sparsely existing within Grey’s body suddenly erupted like a dormant volcano. It charged towards his energy pathways with violent intent. Within seconds, the Nexus Scripture activated. The energy began to purify itself instantly, turning into a roaring river that shot towards the locked elixir fields.

With a crisp sound, the elixir fields were unclogged. His transformed body, derived from the Lesser Heaven, still contained the crystalline heart housing the two elixir fields.
The instant the elixir fields were unlocked, the Nexus Scripture sprung up once again. Qi-Blood strands began to form naturally, weaving through his flesh like steel cables. His mind awakened just as quickly, and Soul Power surged rapidly like a rising tide.
Grey crossed the first genetic limiter and entered the 1st Level!
The power of the Lesser Heaven surged as the automated process of refining the three aspects began. It was not a gentle stream; it was a deluge.

Within seconds, Grey’s power soared to the peak of the Foundation Tempering Realm. While the path was different, his soul was already that of a 4th Rank being. There was no need to worry about the foundation unstable; he was simply reclaiming what was his.

The Soul Power, however, remained dormant. Aside from being utilized for direct soul attacks, there was no for it. Hence, it just accumulated silently.
And once he reached the peak, the genetic markings—which were originally twelve in the main world—shattered.
He compressed the data of twelve genetic markings into six.
While he was assimilating with the lesser heaven, he had gained access to the origin imprints at the 12th genetic marking.

They shrunk down, resembling two high-tech antennas sweeping back over his head. It looked neat, futuristic, and perfectly aligned with his face.
With that done, the foundation was set. It was time to take the final step.
