Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven-Chapter 416: Lia has returned
As soon as those words fell, Lia’s consciousness fractured. She realized she was standing in the empty void with Little Hong looking at her with deep worry. Right next to her was Grey, with chaotic Information Layer currents constantly flickering across his figure.
"Grey!" Seeing him, Lia wasted absolutely no time and jumped right into his warm embrace. But she was completely stunned when she realized that her ethereal body phased right through him. She had almost forgotten that she was now a pure energy construct that lower-ranking beings could not even perceive.
Sighing softly, she forcefully manifested her physical body from the glowing God Seal that had formed before, which was now her true Origin Core. "Are you alright?" Grey asked softly as he finally caught her in his arms. In fact, he had actively seen the exact same ancient visions that Lia had just experienced.
Raw data had come floating directly from the Information Current into his mind. "Do not worry, I just saw everything that you witnessed just now," Grey said with a reassuring smile as he tightly embraced Lia. "I am always here for you."
Grey had quickly realized that Lia was slightly shaken by what she had witnessed in the trance. He could not really blame her for having that kind of reaction. From what he saw, the Nirvanic rebirth of the gods was directly initiated by Lia herself.
She had sacrificed her own core to give the God World another chance, rebranding their divinity so the gods could eventually come back stronger. They were explicitly called the children of the boundless expression in the vision. He did not know exactly what that expression was, but it could be something deeply related to his Nexus Energy since the legendary axe shared a clear connection.
But whatever the actual case was, he completely understood there were unknown beings out there who could actively suppress even the true gods. This profound revelation was honestly very interesting to him. He could not decipher absolutely everything perfectly, but the only reason Lia could even hear those ancient words was because Grey was actively decrypting the chaotic currents for her.
Then, he heard Lia speak softly against his chest. "I am not scared, Grey," she said, looking up from his embrace with a radiant smile breaking out on her beautiful face. "I have you."
So what if there was a supreme being above the gods? She knew in her heart that her boyfriend was an even more terrifying existence than those people who suppressed her kind. He was a complete anomaly in the grand calculations of fate.
Even true gods had a destined fate, despite them standing far above the mortal concepts of space and time. Fate strictly dictated their very existence in the cosmos. But Grey possessed absolutely none of that restrictive destiny.
"You..." Grey was completely speechless hearing Lia’s absolute trust in him. For a long moment, he simply did not know what to say in response. He was technically just a puny 4th Ranker who could barely contend with a late-stage 5th Ranker at the Origin Manifestation Realm.
But he did not deny her bold claims, choosing instead to pull her even closer to his chest. Why would he ever deny it? Instead of denying his vast potential, he would strive to grow infinitely stronger and reach a supreme state where he could effortlessly protect her.
Because in this vast world, he was no longer walking his path alone. Nor was staying completely isolated for eternity an outcome he himself genuinely desired. Even the greatest immortals naturally gathered together for grand immortal conferences.
Just then, two brilliant lights shot out from the surface of Star Blue. One was a deep red in color, and the other carried a striking golden brilliance. "You are awake, Sister Valeria!" Lia let go of Grey and rushed happily toward Valeria with a highly excited look.
"Hey, I am here too," Jasmine spoke up while awkwardly scratching the back of her head. "You guys cannot just forget about me," she added with a completely speechless smile. "Of course not," Lia replied with twitching lips as she hugged her too.
Seeing the three girls happily chatting among themselves, Little Hong walked over and gently patted Grey’s arm. "It is okay, I am still here for you, Grey," she consoled him seriously. "You little girl," Grey’s lips twitched violently in response.
"Also, stop calling me Grey and call me Dad." Grey corrected her with a sigh. "No," Little Hong replied instantly with a completely deadpan look. "That is just way too embarrassing."
Grey patted her small head bitterly, realizing she was probably getting too old to call him that now. But on the other hand, wasn’t he the one who originally forced her to stop calling him father in the first place? Perhaps this was just his inevitable karma catching up to him.
At the same time, he took a moment to observe Little Hong’s status closely. She had fully reached the 5th Rank now, but he could not properly observe the exact changes made to her internal structure. It might be due to the profound nature of her God Seal actively blocking his perception.
But in the end, Star Blue now had seven different 5th Rank experts officially protecting it. The cosmic changes that had happened to their home in just a few short days were truly immense. A few days ago, it was still a puny, struggling planet under the control of people who did not know how to properly govern it.
But now he was here, and in the end, absolutely everything had turned out fine. "Come, let’s go back to the mansion, everyone," Grey clapped his hands loudly, easily catching the girls’ attention. He had already sensed Werner and Bai Yue waiting patiently not too far from them.
It had been quite a while since everyone had peacefully gathered together like this. New people had officially joined their party, though at the same time, one crucial person was still missing. But of course, it would not be long before Alissa was finally found since the spatial turbulence isolating them would be completely gone in just a few days.
...
A few days later, deep within the Filmora Alliance territory. The Filmora Alliance was a massively prosperous faction that controlled a system of six distinct planets. The planet positioned dead in the center was exactly as large as Star Blue, serving as the capital planet, Filmora.
Grey’s sleek spaceship, proudly bearing the Nexus logo, shot directly toward the main Filmora planet. As soon as they breached the dense atmosphere, they immediately saw several mountain-sized holographic air balloons floating in the sky. Massive digital text and booming announcements were actively being broadcasted across the entire capital city.
