He wanted to actively tap into the higher levels of shifting that constantly happened within the Codex, which he simply called ’ticks’. The lower-level ticks did not have much to offer, but the higher levels definitely did.

Within seconds, he successfully managed to sense the higher-level ticks once again under the combined effects of Nexus Overclock and the Primordial Human amplification.

Static immediately erupted in his vision, and he was once again violently pulled into a channel. However, this time, instead of a massive influx of information, he physically appeared in a completely different space.

Grey was entirely confused.

The world around him had abruptly shifted, and the very next moment, he realized he was standing in a pitch-black void.

"Now what exactly is this?"

Against the oppressive power of the Chaos Source Codex, the only natural resistance he had was the Chaos Lotus. But it did not seem to have triggered yet.

Just as he was musing over that, the world violently shifted once again, exactly as if the very frame of reality had been skipped.

The absolute darkness disappeared, and a bizarre construct appeared directly in the void.

It was a massive globe of purple light. It had glitching, purple rectangular cubes passively floating around it, and in the dead center of the globe was a triangular, darkened purple opening.

Grey’s expression turned entirely bewildered when he saw this.

"What is this now?" he asked in pure confusion.

He had absolutely no idea what he was looking at. No sudden comprehension came from observing this strange construct.

However, just as quickly as he thought that, the triangular opening expanded even further. The entire globe suddenly contracted right into the triangle, vividly revealing a glowing purple crown that looked exactly like a star.

The exact instant Grey’s eyes laid upon the crown, his mind went completely blank.

"Did that thing actually merge with me?" Grey panicked, frantically checking his physical body for any traces of the anomaly. But soon, he heaved a heavy sigh of relief.

There was absolutely nothing out of the ordinary within his body. He was perfectly safe.

"These cosmic visions I get are far too realistic all the time. It is always better to be highly cautious," Grey muttered with twitching lips.

First, it was directly related to the Lesser Heaven, where he actively saw it destroying countless planes of existence. And now, it was something deeply related to Finality.

The mere fact that he managed to forcefully gain comprehension over that exact law made it glaringly clear that it was absolutely no pure coincidence.
