An eerie silence had settled over the group of Talented.

Anthony screamed, thin streams of blood flowing from his nose.

He writhed on the ground in agony, trembling uncontrollably.

Morgan calmly stared at the boy on the ground.

"If any of you moves, your friend here bites the dust.. ."

He looked ahead piercing the two burly youths with a murderous glare.

" And then you'll be next."

He turned and slowly walked through the crowd of Talented, wielding a Blood Reaper with a calm nonchalance.

He came to a stop in front of Cassius, hoisting the larger boy to his feet.

Cassius apprehensively watched Anthony's writhing form then threw Morgan a curious look.

"What did you do to him?"

Morgan shook his head slightly motioning for him to get the others.

Cassius grabbed Lucian, jolting him out of the strange stupor he was stuck in.

Lucian's clouded eyes abruptly gained clarity.

He shot up with a startled gasp, jumping back from Cassius.

Cassius watched him with quiet amusement, then silently gestured at Morgan, who was casually moving through the crowd of near motionless Talented.

The masked kids stared back at him, shifting uneasily.

Morgan, on the other hand, seemed completely unbothered, even with the odds stacked against them when it came to numbers.

Lucian frowned, then raised an eyebrow in question.

"What's happening right now?"

A small grin appeared on Cassius' face.

" Morgan somehow got the jump on that murderous bastard when he tried to use his ability on him. "

Cassius frowned, his eyes narrowing slightly.

" It was quite eerie at first, seeing the two of them locked in that mind game but unexpectedly, Morgan beat him."

Cassius shivered.

" And now, it looks like he'll actually kill anyone who so much as dares take a step without asking his permission."

He grinned nervously, suppressing a shudder.

" Frankly it's quite exciting but also quite scary seeing this part of him."

Lucian observed Morgan move quietly.

Within him, he understood something that Cassius didn't.

The scions of the Great Houses were innately raised differently. Perhaps that's why they made them so…different.

There was no room for hesitation in the life they walked.

After all, each and every single one of them was being groomed to one day take over an ancient legacy, a great House with hundreds of superhuman assassins at their back and call.

Weakness could not be tolerated in such a world.

Still, at this point, even Lucian could feel it.

Morgan radiated a strange aura.

The scion subconsciously radiated a slight trace of a murderous aura

Looking at him now, Lucian recalled some of the most unassuming assassins he'd met during the times he'd accompanied his father in his capacity as the heir of House Ash.

Men who turned out to be some of the most dangerous maestros to ever walk the Earth.

At least that was what his father told him.

To Lucian, they were all the same.

Morgan walked to Amanda, coming to a stop in front of the redhead.

He turned back throwing a calm glance at Anthony

" What did you do to her?"

The writhing boy shook his head defiantly, with a pain yell.

Morgan let out a sigh.

" You know, for a jerk, you're actually quite stubborn."

Morgan smiled then, his mouth curling into a dark grin.

That cold inhuman smile sent shivers down the spines of the gathered youths.

" No matter, that'll make this all the more educational for you.

Morgan narrowed his eyes, nodding his head, and scratched his chin thoughtfully.

" Let me see, what shall we call it?"

Snapping his fingers, his eyes lit up.

" Ah yes, a lesson in humility."

In the next moment, a profound transformation took place in their surroundings.

While the Talented couldn't put into words, they still felt.

An eerie, deathly cold lapped at their bodies.

The shadows in the dimming light of the deserted city suddenly seemed longer, and the very air around the moving assassin scion became suffocatingly thick.

Anthony's eyes widened in terror.

" No, wait…I…"

In the next moment, a tortured scream rang out, echoing throughout the near-empty city.

Anthony wildly claws at his eyes, raking blood gashes across his face, with his fingers.

" Get them off me! Get them off me!"

The other Talented, unsurely, stepped back away from him.

The screams lasted a short while but to the onlooking Talented, they may as well have lasted for an eternity.

Morgan gently grasped Amanda, gently raising her up into his arms.

He calmly strode forward, his eyes glinting with steely resolve and an inhuman amount of darkness.

He stopped in front of the now sobbing Talented, gently setting her down.

He crouched in front of Anthony, staring expressionless at the sobbing youth.

" Tell me," he whispered ever so quietly.

" What did you do to her?"

The pressure on Anthony's mind momentarily abated the deadly illusion he was stuck in lifting for a moment.

The yluth gasped, reeling back. He frantically crawled away from Morgan's crawling form, his slamming into the makeshift concrete throne at his back.

" M… m…mo… monster," he whispered. He turned trying to get to his feet.

Morgan sighed shaking his head slightly.

From the darkness of his shadow, twin flames of brilliant white fire ignited.

A tenebrous figure, rose through the murky darkness, standing next to Morgan.

A collective gasp echoed through the crowd of Talented, along with a few screams.

The new figure emanated an untold sense of dread, instilling a profound sense of dread within their hearts. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

The figure disappeared from the point where it had stood.

A moment later, it materialized next to Anthony, grabbing him by the back of his jacket.

Anthony yelled, howling and screaming while striking at the Tenebris creature.

The Talented's gaze shifted between Morgan and the creature curiously.

The figure was the spitting image of the scion, a mirror-like version of himself.

Without paying any attention to the stares and Anthony's tells, Sarenus calmly dragged the thrashing joy back to where Morgan was waiting with Amanda's unconscious form.

In the next moment, a sharp slap rang out across the plaza.

Morgan calmly stared at Anthony.

" Now tell me, what did you do to her?"
