Chapter 1957: Chapter 1957: Hannah Extra (2)

It sat on the ground, lifting its head and howling "woo woo woo" along with the music, its tail pounding the ground, excitedly wanting to run up.

Aunt Bloomy laughed and said to it, "Don’t go up and cause trouble."

The big dog seemed to halfway understand, its pointed ears twitched, then it tilted its head, grinning to show its big white teeth.

"Woof!"

Sure enough, it stayed quiet and didn’t make a fuss.

Today’s celebration was even more lively than New Year’s. The entire street was covered with fiery red silk, big red celebratory characters, and lanterns were hung high.

The bustle of human activity was spirited yet gentle.

In the distance, atop the green mountains, the sunset’s afterglow swept across the clouds, magnificent and splendid. Beneath the stone arch bridge, the river water flowed gently. Children chased each other around, singing nursery rhymes, joyful and lively.

Over there Camilla led out two baskets, stood by the door, and shouted, "Candy distribution!"

The children quickly ran over, and Camilla grabbed candies, scattering them outside, her smile so big her eyes almost turned into two lines.

Fiery red flower petals lay on the bluestones, firecrackers burned, their sound couldn’t overshadow people’s laughter. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Grandma Li was the town’s longest-living elder, she usually loved wearing traditional cloth garments, the passage of time sometimes made her exceptionally gentle with people.

On this wedding day, Grandma Li was the one who styled Hannah’s long hair.

Her black hair was smooth like a waterfall, the wooden comb went from root to tip, carrying the most beautiful, most sincere blessings.

Grandma Li tenderly stroked Hannah’s hair, saying to her, "Child, I bless you."

Hannah curved her lips, looked at herself in the mirror, laid her hand over the elderly woman’s already wrinkled hands, "Thank you."

On this joyous day, everyone was infected with happiness, smiles filled their faces. Guinevere grabbed a handful of sunflower seeds, stuffing them into her mouth while laughing loudly at what someone beside her said.

Over there, Camilla’s recently returned son was recording with a camera, "Everyone, look over here, say a few words of blessing for the newlyweds."

Such a large event was rarely seen in the village.

Especially now with the camera, even Guinevere, who was laughing the most joyfully earlier, felt a bit embarrassed and covered her face, "Why is there a camera, Green, why didn’t you say earlier, if you had, I would’ve dressed up better."

Green was adjusting the camera’s lens and focus, he laughed at her words, "Aunt Guinevere, you’re already great, looking beautiful."

Guinevere lowered her hand, happily asked, "Really?"

Green nodded, "Really."

After getting used to the camera, everyone didn’t avoid it anymore and even came forward willingly.

They first tidied their clothes, then combed their hair, asking "How do I look now, is it okay?" After receiving Green’s affirmative answer, they immediately positioned themselves for the camera.

They mostly worked from sunrise to sunset, didn’t read many books, and didn’t know many profound things, the few blessings they knew were mostly learned from elders.

But their hearts were sincere.

The camera turned to Aunt Bloomy and her husband, the two were discussing the setup on site, exquisite and thoughtful, everything prepared by Arnold Simmons himself.

"Look at them, now look at you." Aunt Bloomy murmured a bit.

Aunt Bloomy’s husband immediately said, "Since you like it, I’ll prepare something like this for you in a while, we’ll lift the veil again."

Aunt Bloomy tapped him, "The kids are so grown, talking like this, aren’t you embarrassed!"
