Chapter 33: Chapter 31: Taming Each Other

"What the heck! Didn’t we already make up?" Watching the car drive away, she lowered her head, lifted her leg, and kicked the marble beneath her fiercely.

She thought, maybe he’s only nice to her at the Spencer Family’s house! Outside, he still needs to maintain his reputation and doesn’t want others to know that he gets along well with this illegitimate sister.

"Get in the car!" Just as she was feeling down, a familiar voice sounded.

Her gloomy expression immediately dissipated. She looked up and threw a warm smile at the man in the car, opened the car door, and hopped in.

"Good morning, Third Brother!"

"Hmm!" He replied like a leader.

This was Maya Spencer’s second time sitting in this car, and her mood was much better than the last time; her whole face bore a sneaky smile, a vast contrast to her usual solemn demeanor.

Liam Spencer’s icy face softened when he saw someone’s fake icy smile.

Maya realized that as long as she acted coquettishly towards Liam, he would be in a good mood and would smile.

It was then that she understood why people say that women who act spoiled have good lives.

So, she turned her head, wrapped her little hands around the man’s arm, and asked, "Third Brother, you’re in a good mood today!"

"Let go!" Liam ordered as he freed her little hands, as if trying to remove himself from an awkward situation.

"Didn’t we agree that we’re family?" She pressed on, trying to get closer.

"Last night was just to satisfy your vanity. Don’t get too close."

"Why are you like this? You were so nice before sleeping, and now you’re turning your back on me! No way, I’ve already considered you family, you can’t reject me." She continued her tantrum, knowing well that he was helpless against it.

"Maya, keep quiet, or I’ll throw you out of the car at any time." When Liam woke up, he felt that he was bewitched yesterday to have carried her downstairs.

At this moment, he was doing his best to guard against her, preventing their relationship from getting closer.

However, from the moment he reversed the car back, he had already lost, admitting that the tacit promise they made last night was effective.

"Uh-huh!" Maya agreed, hugging his arm once again, leaned over, and planted a kiss on his cheek.

At that moment, Liam was about to go crazy because of this sister. She didn’t play by conventional rules; her cold demeanor was more fitting for their relationship. Yet, one couldn’t deny that he rather enjoyed having this little imp around, making him feel comfortable.

For many years, no woman had behaved so refreshingly before him, with such delightful coquetry.

Therefore, he didn’t push her away but allowed her to hold his arm, even if he knew she was intentionally currying favor with him, seeking protection.

A few moments later, in the quiet car, a "grumbling" sound made Maya feel quite embarrassed.

She said, "I didn’t mean to."

Listening to her explanation, Liam nonchalantly asked, "Do you have money to buy breakfast?"

"No!"

"In the compartment in front of you, there’s an envelope with money inside, take it."

Maya followed his instructions, opened the compartment, and indeed found an envelope. She opened it and pulled out two bills.

"Two bills will be enough, thank you, Third Brother!"

Liam watched her putting the envelope back without insisting she take all of it. After all, he thought, this guy wouldn’t be polite with him in the future, so it’s better not to spoil her too much.

Maya put the money into her little coin purse, hugged the man’s arm, and leaned in to kiss him as a sign of gratitude.

However, when she turned to kiss Liam, he happened to turn his head to look at her, and the two bumped into each other again.

In an instant, Maya’s eyes widened, but the next second she laughed and the hand wrapped around his arm,

"Shameless!" After she left him, he scolded indifferently.

"It’s you who are!"

"Hmm???" Liam sighed deeply, expressing helplessness.

This time, Liam didn’t make Maya get out of the car in advance but gave her a ride to the parking lot. After parking the car, the two of them walked towards the teaching building together.

Along the way, someone brazenly clung to Liam’s arm, as if declaring sovereignty, telling everyone that this was her Third Brother, she had a good relationship with Third Brother, and no one should think of bullying her anymore.

Sure enough, her trick was very effective, and the news spread throughout the school rapidly.

Elia Spencer, hearing the news, turned pale with anger. Last night, when Hannah mentioned seeing Third Brother carrying that Little Demon, she found it unbelievable. It turns out it was true. Third Brother never took her to school but was willing to give that Little Demon a ride and let her cling to his arm.

That little fox must be desperate for men! She wouldn’t even spare her own brother.

No matter who Maya got close to, Elia always had a thousand excuses to accuse her of harboring ulterior motives.

When Maya returned to the classroom, Elia glared at her furiously as if saying, "You shameless woman, don’t think you can fool Third Brother. Sooner or later, I’ll tear off your mask."

Facing Elia’s glare, Maya slightly raised the corners of her mouth, a dismissive expression, not taking her seriously at all. After all, that woman never mattered to her.

However, with Liam backing her up, the school indeed became peaceful. Even the teachers were restrained, and no one made trouble for her by making her run laps on the field.

Ella Turner, experiencing a day without storms, held Maya’s little hand and sighed, "Maya, this life is so comfortable. How did you suddenly manage to get through to your Third Brother?"

"We made up after a fight yesterday."

Maya didn’t expect that she would turn misfortune into a blessing, winning over Third Brother. It seemed like her luck was turning around.

When school ended in the morning, Elijah Reid came, and he took Maya to a restaurant outside the school for lunch.

At the dining table, Elijah pushed the lost necklace in front of her, saying, "Fifth Miss, your necklace."

"Thank you, Elijah."

"No problem! No problem!" It was Elijah’s first time seeing Maya so ordinary, and it scared him a bit, prompting him to nervously wave his hand, telling her it’s nothing.

When lunch ended and Elijah sent Maya back to school, he was stunned to hear that Maya and his BOSS had reconciled, his jaw nearly dropping.

He originally thought that when two icy mountains collided, one of them would shatter, causing a big scene. Unexpectedly, they tamed each other—truly two anomalies.

Everyone thought today would be a calm day, but there is always calm before a storm.

At four o’clock in the afternoon, after the second class ended, the school forum exploded with photos of Elijah carrying Maya into a hotel suite, photos of Elijah accompanying her to the hospital, and even photos of Henry Reid forcefully kissing Maya in the piano room, along with a photo of her riding Ethan Turner’s bicycle.
