No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother-Chapter 485 - 483 Do Not Approach [15 Updates]
She even wished she could just pass out and escape this unbearable feeling, but the more uncomfortable it became, the more awake she was, unable to faint.
It wasn’t until the car got on the airport expressway that the jarring discomfort stopped, allowing Maya Spencer to finally relax for a moment.
She could feel it; multiple parts of her body were bruised from the impacts.
The car drove for a while, and after going down a steep slope, it suddenly stopped, and a woman got in.
Once in the car, the woman looked around and asked, "Arthur River, where did you hide Miss Maya?"
The newcomer was Arthur River’s wife, and her voice revealed her panic.
Hearing the woman’s question, Arthur River scolded harshly, "Do you want to arouse suspicion? We can’t be discovered before reaching the airport, stop looking around. Did you bring the stuff I told you to bring?"
"I brought the bank card, property deeds, ID, and household register."
"Why did you bring property deeds?"
"I’m prepared, in case we need money, I can sell the house."
Listening to their conversation, Maya could basically determine they wanted to escape with her uncle, but they were unaware that they wouldn’t be able to escape once they reached the airport.
After about ten minutes, Arthur River parked the car in a corner of the airport parking lot.
Then, he opened the trunk, pulled Maya out, tore off the tape on her mouth, and untied the ropes binding her hands.
After getting out of the car, the woman was frightened by Maya’s disheveled appearance, immediately pulling her to a corner in front of the car, taking off her own coat to cover her, then taking a comb from her bag to tidy Maya’s hair.
Seeing this, Arthur River said impatiently, "Lily Allen, what are you doing?"
"She can’t go out looking like this, or people will notice something is wrong, so I’m tidying her up," the woman said as she pulled Maya out.
Completely powerless and seeing stars, Maya could only let them make a fool of her.
As the woman pulled her out, Arthur River suddenly grabbed her arm, somehow producing a gun, pressing it against Maya’s waist, and threatening softly, "Maya Spencer, if you dare make a sound before we board the plane, there’ll be no mercy."
Maya turned her head, glanced at the gun pressed against her waist, her heartbeat escalating rapidly. She swallowed hard, nodded vigorously, and responded, "Okay."
Beside them, Lily Allen was also stunned, eyes wide open, asking cautiously, "Arthur River, where did you get a gun?"
"With money, you can’t imagine what you can buy," the man said as he pushed Maya toward the elevator.
This made Maya even more afraid to move, fearing if she disobeyed, the gun might accidentally discharge. Even though she battled depression, she definitely didn’t want to die now.
In the departure hall, Liam Spencer stood waiting as requested by Arthur River, accompanied only by Elijah Reed and Aron Hanson.
When the elevator reached the third floor and the door opened, Maya saw Liam standing in the distance, waiting for her.
Instantly, tears welled up in Maya’s eyes. She hadn’t seen Liam for just one night, yet he appeared weary and hollow. He must have been on the verge of breaking down.
Seeing Liam instinctively advancing, Arthur River shouted at him, "Don’t come any closer!"
He then raised the gun he had pressed against Maya’s waist, pointing it at her head.
For a moment, Liam was petrified, and so were Elijah and Aron.
Liam promptly took a few steps back, raised his hands, promising, "Okay, okay, I’m not coming closer. I’ll stay here. Arthur, put the gun down. It’s too dangerous. If you accidentally hurt your wife, what would you do?"
Liam rarely persuades others and certainly doesn’t say this much, but now, he was nervous, scared, causing his words to pour out.
"Don’t worry, I’m not that stupid," Arthur replied without a hint of letting his guard slip.
"Arthur River, put the gun down and let Maya go," Aron Hanson said, watching Maya with a gun to her head, terrified yet not daring to say much, fearing Arthur might suspect a threat and harm Maya.
The man’s brows furrowed tightly at Aron’s persuasion, unable to comprehend why Aron would still shield and worry about Maya at this point.
Frustratedly, he said, "Sir, you shouldn’t have brought this trouble back to the Hanson Family three years ago. If she hadn’t returned, everything would have been fine now, and you wouldn’t have to leave S City."
"Arthur River, Maya is my family. I hope you understand not to harm her, or I will never forgive you."
"You consider her family, but has she ever considered you family? What has she ever contributed to the company to have the audacity to ask for shares? That woman is just waiting for you to get into trouble and leave S City so she can take over the company herself."
"Arthur, these are just material possessions. I shouldn’t have valued the company so much. Let Maya go, and we’ll leave together on the plane."
Arthur had a gun, and Aron only wanted to take him away to prevent further harm to others.
"Fine, we’ll go. Since living in S City is no longer feasible, we’ll leave," the man said, then turned to the woman beside him, "Lily, you board the plane first. Sir has a pilot’s license, so he’ll take us away."
The woman listened to his command, took a deep breath, nodded toward him, and said, "Okay, I’ll go first, but don’t do anything foolish. Don’t randomly fire and hurt someone."
"I know. Just get on the plane," the man answered dismissively.
Seeing his impatience, the woman turned around promptly, walked toward the boarding gate, and jumped onto the private plane.
After she left, Arthur River shouted again at Aron Hanson in the distance, "Sir, get on the plane quickly!"
Aron saw the situation, turned back, glanced at Liam, and whispered, "I’ll go first. Don’t provoke him, so he won’t hurt Maya."
"Okay," Liam replied calmly, though internally, anxiety was eating away at him, wishing he could clone himself, appear behind the man, seize the gun, and shoot him on the spot. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Then, Aron took a deep breath, stepped forward, and walked in Arthur River’s direction.
The distance between them was about 50 meters, with roughly 10 meters to the boarding gate on Arthur’s left.
With every step Aron took, he was on tenterhooks, fearing Arthur might play a trick and not spare Maya even after his departure.
Because from Arthur’s previous words, Aron could tell he immensely disliked and hated Maya.
So, when he was about to approach Arthur, he cautiously said, "Arthur River, let Maya go, and we’ll get on the plane together."
"You go first; I’ll follow," the man was stalling for time, clearly having no intention of easily letting Maya go.
"Uncle," hearing Aron’s voice, Maya cautiously turned her head and called out to him.
