Chapter 810: Chapter 806: Uncle, I’m Sorry

"Oh, Alexander is waiting for us downstairs. Earlier this evening, Nanny Garcia called and asked us to visit the Land Family villa..."

Indeed, whenever Asher Land shows even a trace of impatience, it makes her terribly anxious.

"Is that it?"

He thought something more serious would make her so hesitant, but it was just a simple matter.

"Are you... going?" She was a bit unsure.

"Is that even a question?" He raised his eyebrow. With his son and the woman both there, how could he not go?

"You’re going, right?" This man was truly awkward; if he’s going, then he’s going, if not, then not. Why make her guess?

"Yes."

He inexplicably felt cheerful, and as the elevator doors opened, he unabashedly held her in his arms, in front of everyone at the company.

Sophie Smith was a bit embarrassed, "What if I end up in the headlines again tomorrow?"

"Ha, I remember it was you who announced our relationship to the public without my consent back then."

With Asher Land’s comment, Sophie really felt she was thick-skinned. But she was compelled at the time, wasn’t she? She only wanted to see if she could use the media to find any trace of him.

Asher originally wanted to tease her further, but the conversation led them to where Sophie parked her car.

Asher noticed Alexander sitting in the car from quite a distance away, deliberately turning his head away to the other side of the car window, pretending not to see him.

He didn’t want to engage much and prepared to open the rear door, but Sophie was quicker, sitting in the back seat first.

"Asher, you drive the car."

Perhaps that way, he could sit closer to Alexander and chat more easily.

"Are you sure?" Asher chuckled lightly, his eyes on the little dumpling who dared not look at him, questioning.

Sophie remained unresponsive for a while, so if she wouldn’t drive, he might as well handle it.

He got into the car quietly and started the engine.

"By the way," Asher suddenly remembered something, glancing at Sophie in the back seat through the rearview mirror, "Did you explain everything to Nanny Garcia? About me and the child..."

Sophie naturally understood what Asher was concerned about.

"I’ve already talked it over."

She coordinated with Nanny Garcia. Although Nanny Garcia didn’t fully grasp the situation, she agreed to temporarily keep Alexander unaware of the true relationship between Asher Land and Alexander.

Asher acknowledged with a hum and continued to focus on driving.

"Uncle, I’m sorry."

Who knows how long the atmosphere inside the car was silent before Alexander suddenly spoke.

Asher was initially stunned and took a moment to regain his composure.

"Uncle, I’m sorry..." Alexander finally turned his head to face him.

"I shouldn’t have talked to you like that last time. If you want, you can keep coming to our home, as Mommy really wishes you would..."

Alexander’s abrupt words left both Sophie and Asher somewhat surprised, but Sophie was the first to wrap her mind around it.

She realized Alexander must have listened to her words from before. Her son was indeed understanding and smart.

"Alexander, I’m so happy you’re thinking this way," Sophie couldn’t help but smile.

"Mommy,..." Alexander hesitated to speak.
