Chapter 199: Sending A Stronger Creature

Leo watched as the Wild Devils rushed around capturing the monsters that were causing trouble for his army. They would drag the creatures back to him where he’d turn them into shadow soldiers.

This continued for hours until the surrounding lands went quiet which creeped out the guards. While standing there, Dark appeared beside him with a warm smile. ’’My sister is angry, your spell nearly destroyed her shield,’’ she revealed.

’’Good,’’ he replied with a chuckle. ’’I’ll keep attacking until it comes down, hopefully, they send out the other heroes so I can add them to my growing army.’’

The older woman nodded in agreement before asking. ’’What about Mia and the others?’’

’’What about them? They’ve done their best to avoid me even though they’re using my domain to stay in,’’ he retorted.

Dark’s smile faltered as he continued speaking. ’’I have no interest in women who actively dislike me but won’t say it and if I’m honest it doesn’t bother me, you lot are more than enough for me.’’

When the goddess heard that she quickly hugged him while her lips brushed against his ear. ’’That’s good to know handsome, we were worried you’d take more women but it looks like those were unfounded.’’

Leo chuckled before kissing the older woman as the duo returned to the fortress like the others. Once back there, the group relaxed and started doing their own things while he sat in front of the fire.

The warm air washed over him as Roxy appeared with Agatha and Octavia. She spoke with a big smile. ’’The princesses want to teach us how to fight, could we use the roof, please? It has enough space.’’

’’That’s fine,’’ he replied. ’’Just be careful of the weather, it’s getting cold.’’

They agreed before rushing off with the others joining them just as Neemah appeared with an exhausted expression. Without warning, Leo dragged the devil woman into his lap which she sank into with a smile.

’’Thank you handsome,’’ she muttered. ’’Too much training, Amara and Veladra are good teachers.’’

Leo smiled before pulling out a blanket and wrapping it around the two if them as the cold was winning its invasion of the treehouse. Following that, the couple fell asleep while keeping each other warm.

While they slept the Duskwood Empire was in chaos as the people were being conscripted to fight against the incoming demonic army. Dorian and the remaining heroes were spreading lies about the enemy.

This only rallied more people to their cause and by the time they were there were millions of soldiers ready to fight the Demon King known as Leo Anderson, that name had become infamous across the empire.

Dorian’s hatred for the former hero twisted him into something dark as his family was stolen and allies abandoned him to jump in his enemy’s bed. He was standing on a balcony overlooking the field outside the capital.

’’Damn boy, I knew there was something off about you,’’ the older man muttered to himself while downing some ale.

As he got drunk by himself a knock came from the door forcing him to shout. ’’Come in!’’

General Marius Greenwood appeared and bowed. ’’My emperor. The strike force is ready to head beyond the wall to engage with the demon horde,’’ he said in a confident voice.

Dorian’s eyes lit up as he questioned excitedly. ’’Do you think the goddess’s weapons take out that demon? The last I heard was that he’s become something different.’’

When Marius heard this he tried to hide the nervousness before revealing something that would anger the emperor. ’’The former hero has kidnapped the three heroes we sent to the wall and destroyed any forces we sent his way.’’

’This boy is a menace! How could those off worlders fail against him!’ Dorian internally raged which made his veins bulge.

He calmed down and spoke to the general. ’’Take the army and try to slow them down, the southern tribes need time to prepare their weapons.’’

The man saluted before rushing out of the room Dorian turned to the window and sighed as a bad feeling welled up inside him. While the plans were being laid to try and counter him, Leo was fast asleep with the devil woman.

They were warm but a horrible aura woke him up causing him to teleport outside only to see a portal open up. Neemah was floating beside him with wide eyes as she revealed. ’’Father is sending a stronger creature through it.’’

When Leo heard this he spotted a troll-sized humanoid coming out of the portal forcing him to move. He moved so fast that a sonic boom echoed as he slammed into the newcomer before hitting it with a Supernova Punch.

A clap rang out a the Devil Monster was sent plummeting to the ground below. When the creature hit it caused a mini earthquake but he followed behind just as the enemy lunged out of the crater.

The two claes mid-air as the devil landed a powerful kick which sent him flying through the air before slamming into the side of a mountain. Leo’s head was spinning as the enemy crashed into him.

He raised his arms to block the punches that caused booms to echo but he quickly grabbed the arm of the monster and quickly counter with a headbutt that sent the devil stumbling back while letting out a growl.

Leo followed this up with more attacks that sent shockwaves across the land but neither gave up. They traded blows which left bruises behind forcing him to grit his teeth while ignoring the pain.

The monster swung a massive fist, but he sidestepped it with ease, retaliating with a thunderous uppercut that launched the beast skyward. He overtook it, and delivered a crushing hammer punch from above, driving it back down.

When the devil crashed into the ground Leo landed on top of it before punching it even more just as another enemy tackled him. Seconds later, the newcomer bit on his arm forcing him to grit his teeth.

Leo put his hand on the monster’s head and blew it away with a Mana Blast causing a shower of blood to cover him just as the other appeared. It quickly stamped on his face and sent his head spinning but he teleported away while spitting up blood.

’’Damn this thing is strong but it’s not enough,’’ he thought with an excited smile.

The Devil Troll rushed toward him and swung a massive fist, he quickly blocked it before hitting the monster with a California Smash causing a clap to ring out as a hole was pierced through its torso.

Following that, the two of them continued to fight just as more of its kind joined the fight pushing Leo to his limit. Without waiting he turned the dead creatures into shadow soldiers to aid him in the fight.

When the demonic monsters appeared the enemies were being pushed back but several Duskwood Demi-Gods arrived and joined the fight. They destroyed the shadows but he kept summoning them.

He cast a wicked smirk at the group before charging toward them. Just as he closed the distance, he vanished in a blur, reappearing behind them. Without any mercy, he unleashed a barrage of Supernova Punches.

Once his sudden attacks slammed into the Demi-Gods they were instantly killed and the ones who survived managed to land powerful spells on him. One of them destroyed half of his body.

Leo gritted his teeth as the enemies stopped attacking with mocking expressions but he smiled while his body repaired itself so fast that it shocked his opponents. He exploded at the leader and tore the man’s head off.

The other Demi-Gods panicked but he quickly killed them just before spotting an enemy army heading straight for the fortress. A wave of projectiles slammed into the defender who tried to block it.

Dozens of enemy strikes breached the barrier, and in an instant, dozens of Leo’s soldiers fell lifeless under the assault. He headed toward his army, only to be stopped mid-stride as a volley of strange spells slammed into him.

A deafening explosion roared through the air, hurling him backward. He crashed into the earth with titanic force, carving a trench miles long across the landscape. Leo didn’t know what happened but the pain was unlike anything he’d felt.

It felt like he was getting burned from the inside out but soon enough Dark appeared with a concerned expression. The goddess places her hand on him before sending her magic into his body.

’’That was my sister’s blessing,’’ she revealed. ’’It’s dangerous to people like you who dwell in the dark.’’

Leo chuckled but quickly spotted another wave of that magic heading toward them but Dark turned around with glowing eyes and blocked it with ease. The spell exploded high up in the sky as he started feeling better.

’’Thank you for the help beautiful,’’ he commented while standing up on shaky legs. ’’I didn’t know that spell would hurt so much.’’
