Chapter 205: This? This Was Fun

Leo noticed Astra glancing at Agatha, a smirk tugging at her lips as she teased, "Well, looks like you jinxed us, huh? Should’ve known the weather’s got a stubborn streak of its own."

Before anyone could reply, a vile aura crashed over the fortress, so potent that it sent several women retching to their knees. Dark’s face twisted in terror, her eyes widening to the size of saucers as she whirled toward him.

’’The humans have a God Killer!’’ she gasped, her voice trembling. ’’We need to run, handsome!’’

Leo’s response was a low chuckle, his red eyes sparking with a wild gleam. ’’Take the others and retreat to the domain,’’ he said, his tone brimming with confidence. ’’I’ll handle this intruder and put an end to their little toy.’’

In an instant, he vanished, reappearing before a towering figure, a giant of a man with flowing blonde hair, blazing blue eyes, and a physique like a tank. The stranger’s lips curled into a wicked, malevolent grin as his gaze locked onto Leo.

’’Finally, the new baby God reveals himself,’’ the man rumbled, his voice dripping with menace as he glanced around. ’’Where’s that wretched Dark Goddess hiding?’’

Rage flared in Leo’s chest when he heard the stranger’s insult, and in a blink, he vanished. The clash erupted with ferocity, their power driving the storm itself to scatter in fear as shockwaves rippled outward.

The God Killer was hurled back by the force, but he quickly recovered, charging at Leo with unrelenting fury. Their fists collided in mid-air, the impact reverberating like a thunderclap. He gritted his teeth, their strength locked in a deadlock, neither yielding.

But then, a creeping sensation slithered into his body, something invasive, insidious. Before he could react, the enemy seized his collar before hurling him down to the earth as he was distracted.

’This idiot thinks he can weaken me?’ he thought with a smirk as he instantly destroyed the poison that was trying to cut off his powers.

Leo chose to toy with the God Killer, climbing out of the crater with a grin. He launched into the air like a missile, catching the foe off guard. The impact hit like a freight train and drove his forehead into the enemy’s with a savage headbutt.

A deafening boom echoed as their skulls collided, but the battle raged on. They exchanged a flurry of vicious punches, each blow landing with devastating force, leaving both bloodied and bruised yet unrelenting in their fury.

The God Killer was panicking and started to back off while internally raging. ’How can this former human not be affected by my powers! I’ve killed gods but this boy can stand against me!’

Leo sensed the man’s anger and continued attacking by vanishing, punching only to reappear in a different place. When the human saw this he was getting angerier as he couldn’t keep up.

Moments later, his Demon King armor appeared all over his body just before he landed a powerful punch to the God Killer’s jaw. A clap rang out, and the enemy was sent flying into the ground.

’He’s not weakening, but at least I can do damage to him,’ he mused with an excited expression. ’At least there’s still people who can match me in.

Following this, the two of them clashed again as the man’s body bulked up thanks to mysterious magic. When he saw this he summoned his Demon King armor that covered his entire being.

Their fists connected with brutal force, but neither flinched, shrugging off the sharp jolts of pain coursing through them. The God Killer sidestepped one of his wild swings, seizing the opening to tackle him hard into the ground below.

The impact unleashed a tremor, an earthquake rippling outward from the point of collision. Leo grabbed the man by the hand and unleashed a dozen powerful headbutts that sent blood flying everywhere.

Following that, they continued to clash, their battle tearing through the wilderness like a vengeful storm. Each thunderous punch landed with the force of a collapsing mountain, sending shockwaves that splintered trees into jagged shards.

He chuckled as the God Killer roared, swinging a fist wreathed in searing blue flame, only for Leo to counter with a savage uppercut that cracked the air itself, the sound reverberating like a cannon blast.

The ground beneath them buckled and groaned, unable to withstand their relentless fury. A once-lush forest was reduced to a smoldering graveyard, towering pines snapped like twigs, their roots ripped from the soil as the two titans grappled.

Moment’s later, the enemy moved too fast and seized Leo by the throat, hurling him through a rocky outcrop; the stone exploded into a hail of debris, dust choking the sky. Undeterred, he sprang back, red eyes blazing, and tackled his foe into a roaring river.

The water erupted into violent geysers, steam hissing as their searing power clashed, evaporating the current in an instant. Fist met flesh again and again, blood and sweat mingling with the ruined earth.

Before Leo could react, the man drove a knee into his gut, launching him skyward; the force carved a trench through the wilderness, flattening hills into rubble. He retaliated mid-flight, twisting to deliver a kick that sent the God Killer crashing through a cliffside.

He watched as the impact was so strong that the mountain collapsed into a landslide of shattered rock. The air itself trembled, wildlife fleeing in terror as the once-serene landscape became a scarred wasteland.

Still, neither yielded, their silhouettes locked in a brutal dance amid the chaos they’d caused, but it didn’t bother him. He was hovering opposite the blonde man, who was covered in blood as his armor was crumbling.

’’This bastard’s soaked up more punches than I can count,’’ he growled, spitting a wad of blood onto the ruined ground.

His gaze flicked to his own battered armor, now hanging in shredded tatters. ’’Can’t believe it’s still holding together, barely.’’

With a thought, he repaired it, but the damage the God Killer was doing to his body wasn’t healing as his broken ribs pierced one of his lungs, causing his breath to slow down as one of the enemy’s arms hung limply.

The hulking man let out a rough chuckle, even as one of his eyes puffed up, swelling shut. It didn’t stop him from rasping out his words. ’’For a baby god, you’ve got some grit, kid. Plenty of your kind have crumbled under my fists.’’

Leo watched the God Killer point at him with a respectful expression. ’’This? This was fun, but I’ll let you breathe for now. We shall fight again and our next battle while prove who’s stronger.’’

’’Huh?’’ he thought as the man vanished into thin air.

Leo cast a glance around, noticing that the oppressive aura had vanished. A breath of relief escaped him before he teleported back to the fortress. Stepping into his room, he waved a hand to dismiss his tattered armor.

Exhaustion hit like a hammer, and he sank to one knee, his chest heaving. He felt his throat tighten as he needed blood to revitalize himself. Just then, Elenora and Ysella entered the room, only to go wide eyed when seeing him.

The two elves rushed over to him as the older woman spoke in a concerned tone. ’’Is everything alright, husband? What happened?’’

Leo’s gaze settled on Elenora’s neck prompting him to gulp. He drew her close and sank his teeth into her flesh. A low, throaty moan escaped the empress as she steadied herself against him, her hands clutching his shoulders. ’’Mmmmmhhh~~’’

Warm blood flooded his mouth, a rush of energy surging through him, knitting some of his strength back together. Yet his body remained battered and worn from the wounds inflicted by the God Killer.

Bolstered by Elenora’s royal blood, Leo rose to his feet, a faint spark of curiosity in his eyes as he turned to her. ’’Didn’t Dark and the others fill you in?’’

The two elves exchanged a glance and shook their heads, leaving him to elaborate. ’’A God Killer showed up. I fought him, thought I’d finish it, but he slipped away.’’

Hearing this, Ysella stepped forward, her face lighting up with a wide, eager smile as she tilted her head, baring her neck. ’’Drink from me, then. It’ll perk you right up, handsome.’’

Leo’s gaze lingered on the young elf’s offered neck, her bright smile, and the faint pulse beneath her skin, stirring the lingering hunger within him. With a slow nod, he stepped closer, his hand gently brushing her shoulder as he steadied her.

’’Alright, if you insist,’’ he murmured.

He leaned in, his lips grazing her skin before his fangs pierced her neck with practiced precision. Ysella let out a soft gasp, her fingers curling lightly against his arm, but her smile never faltered.

Warmth flooded his mouth as her blood flowed, rich and vibrant, laced with an elven life that hummed through his veins like wildfire. The ache in his battered body began to heal, the bruises and cuts knitting together.
