Hao Ren came back to the Crescent Moon Palace and then he found Han Lingshi in the imperial bedroom, and said, "That anomaly is the opening of a secret realm. Also, I have a bad feeling about this."

Han Lingshi was feeding Hao Xuanshen before she frowned and said, "So, shall we go to defense mode?"

Hao Ren nodded and said, "It is indeed necessary, for us to handle things like this. After all, if it turned out to be something bad, being prepared would help us somewhat."

Han Lingshi nodded and she said, "Xiao Mei, issue the decree, we have a situation at hand."

Xiao Mei nodded before she said, "Yes, Mistress."

Hao Ren came over to pick up Yanling in his arms and the little girl cooed in bliss. Hao Mei came over at this moment, and asked, "So, what is that space anomaly about?"

Hao Ren told her what it as about and then he asked, "What can we do about this now?"

Hao Mei nodded thoughtfully and said, "Nothing but be battle ready just in case."

Hao Ren agreed with them and then he said, "I am going back to hold the fort. With the rise of heaven level experts in the ranks, the Spirit Siphon Continent would not be able to do anything to us. Also, they seem to be a little worried about the appearance of this space anomaly."

Hao Mei nodded in agreement, then Hao Ren pecked the forehead of his little darling who giggled and Leo looked at Han Lingshi who was smiling at him. The eye contact lasted for a few seconds, and Hao Ren leaned over to kiss her forehead as he said, "I will be back to check on you daily."

Han Lingshi nodded and said, "I will wait for you."

When Hao Ren came back he saw Ye Jian and Ye Si sparring with each other. They were going hard at each other but they were using only their martial skills, so the surroundings were not damaged. The control they both displayed in their own paths was marvelous, Hao Ren saw a few micro drones flying around them. This was a device they used these days to keep track of the battles they have been through and also to be promoted through the schools and the populace so that the rest could learn.

The Crescent Moon Empire had made sure that education was not monopolized by a few forces. Even the strong in the empire feared Hao Ren and Han Lingshi. Every now and then someone would try to seek profit in the wrong methods, and they would be punished.

Crescent Moon Empire had one rule, if you follow the rules you will prosper and you will enjoy great wealth but if you as much as try to beat someone without reason, you are in for a beating.

Yes, it was the world of cultivation and mortal conflicts were the essence of this place, but they had to be public and righteous. Even if you are wrong about something, if you can defend yourself without harming the innocent people and using any shady means, it would be all fine.

Sensing Hao Ren appear in the void, Ye Si and Ye Jian both stopped and they bowed to him. The young man shook his head and sat down on the ground, he had both the kids with himself. They have been fed and their bodies would take some time before they feel hungry again. Even though they had been blessed by the four spirits they were still babies.

Ye Jian saw Hao Ren sitting on the ground and asked, "Young Master, are you not worried that these people might attack us?"

He spoke openly, he was confident enough to handle them if they dared to eye them. Hao Ren sighed and said, "You lot need to stop being so suspicious, they are here because they are worried about what this Space Anomaly would do their people back home. No need to be so tense. Let them be, they are our seniors and we should respect them. Yeah, if they try anything then you have the right to defend and fight back."

His words sounded as if he was appeasing the elders hidden in the void, but they knew it was a challenge, he was daring them all to try and make a move if they dared. As long as they did that, Hao Ren would not hesitate unleashing his entire strength in dealing with them.

In the morning, Hao Ren went back to the palace, because he needed to drop off the children. In the night they were both active, although they didn’t kick a fuss, they still looked like they missed their mother. These two were very good in absorbing the yin and yang energy that radiated from their parents and this was why Hao Ren had to make sure that they spend equal time with both their parents.

The watch continued, not for a week and not for a month. It took a complete six months for the spatial anomaly to stabilize and that was the moment when Hao Ren understood what it was about. Thankfully, the children were back in the Crescent Moon Palace.

He watched as the anomaly stabilized and a rift opened up in the void. Hao Ren clenched his fist and Ye Jian held the hilt of his sword. Ye Si was standing behind the two of them as she skipped on the ground. All of them were in battle ready state, as soon as the person who came from the other side showed any hostility they would act and deal with them.

Sure enough, just as they had speculated, a figure emerged from the void portal. This entity was a man, and while his aura was strong, his left sleeve was empty and it fluttered with the wind. The man looked around and he sensed Hao Ren and his retainers. The man landed on the ground a few meters apart from them, before he opened his mouth and said, "I apologize for appearing all of a sudden, but can you tell me if this is the spirit siphon continent?"

Hao Ren shook his head and replied, "No, this is the spirit Shimmer Continent. If you wish to reach the Spirit Siphon Continent, it would be all the way there."

He pointed his finger in the direction and the man was surprised as he asked, "Does this mean that Spirit Siphon Continent has already merged with another continent?"

Hao Ren raised his brow, this man was knowledgeable about the changes that happened here. He nodded, and the man took a deep breath before he asked, "Are you perhaps the sovereign of the Spirit Shimmer Continent?"

Hao Ren shook his head and replied, "The sovereign of this land is my wife. So, please tell me, who you are and where did that wormhole came from?"

The man sighed and said, "I am Jana, who might you be?"

Hao Ren replied simply, "Hao Ren."

Jana nodded and said, "I came from the place of dread." 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

Hao Ren raised his brow and asked quickly, "Did you come from the Eternal Battlefield?"

Jana was shocked but then he shook his head as he said, "I came from a place that used to be the eternal battlefield, now it has been reduced to a land ruled by outlandish demons."

Hao Ren was shocked and so were the rest of the elders hidden in the void. They all emerged from the void and asked, "What do you mean it used to be the eternal Battlefield? What has happened there?"

Jana shook his head as he sighed and said, "This is not a place to talk. Can we go somewhere else? The space gate will not be usable for a couple of years now."

Hao Ren spoke up before anyone else, "My house is nearby, you all are welcome to gather there."

Jana agreed, he could tell that Hao Ren didn’t hold any malice in his heart. He looked at the rest of the heaven realm elders and found them all to be rather hesitant when an old man stepped out and said, "Young Friend Hao, you owe me a good tea."

Hao Ren chuckled and said, "Old Zhao, you can have all the tea you want but I want my reward for your journal back. Senior Jana saved me a heaven grade treasure."

Zhao Kang was stunned but then he sighed and said, "Fine, to be honest I was going to return it to you because my journal was not worth that much."

Hao Ren waved his hand as he was joking and then he led Zhao Kang and Jana to the Crescent Moon City, Ye Si had already informed everyone back home using the communicator and the people were ready to receive the group.

The group quickly entered the city after passing through an array and they all landed on the ground as Hao Ren said, "For security reasons, flying is prohibited."

Indeed, they were forced to walk through the city and meet the gaze of thousands of people, and they were shocked by the prosperity and strength of the people in the city. The elders from the Spirit Siphon Continent realized that if they launched a conquest here, they might end up losing their own lands.
