Omniscient Extra's ViewPoint: Supreme Adaptation-Chapter 30: Free day
Chapter 30 - Free day
The first day was given to students as a day of rest.
They were each taken to their rooms.
It was pleasant enough, as everyone had a room to themselves.
The boys had their own building, and the girls had theirs.
A small digital screen was provided for managing their daily lives at the Academy.
Their room numbers were sent directly to it.
Vorden, Damien, and Luminen were all assigned rooms on the same floor of the boys' hostel, which had six floors in total.
The rooms weren't particularly spacious, but they were adequate.
The Academy had a uniform, though it was simple—just a black jacket and jeans.
The jacket featured the Academy's crest on the left side of the chest: a dark blade surrounded by white dots representing stars.
Tomorrow would mark the official start of the Academy's schedule.
Cherry had almost cried at the thought of being alone, away from the squad.
She had, however, settled into her room before the others.
The three boys opened their doors at the same time.
The rooms were identical—compact and futuristic. Each contained a bed and a wardrobe, nothing more. The doors slid shut automatically as they stepped inside.
Vorden sighed before unpacking his belongings into the wardrobe.
While doing so, he came across the Academy uniform.
The design was quite stylish, with its sleek black fabric.
He tried on the jacket briefly, finding it comfortable, before placing it back in the wardrobe.
After that, he sat on the bed and began scrolling through the digital screen.
The Academy's daily routine seemed well-structured:
Wake-up time: 8:00 AM
Breakfast: 9:00 AM
Classes and free time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Lunch: 2:00 PM
Dinner: 6:00 PM
He also discovered that the Academy had its own currency, called SL Tokens, which could be used to purchase anything on campus.
It was entirely digital, with a maximum balance cap of 500 SL Tokens.
The source of this c𝐨ntent is freёnovelkiss.com.
After going through the basics, he decided to post a question on the Academy's online forum.
Nameless, Vorden: Is it possible to use the General Arena from the trials for special individual or group training, without interference?
Vorden awaited an answer. The school's help department responded automatically.
He had asked the question while considering a place where his squad could train outside of the Academy's scheduled sessions. The General Arena had several functions that could be highly beneficial for their training, making it the best option.
However, there were three General Arenas in the Academy:
Light Hall – Reserved for Squads on Probation training. It was the third largest.
Oppe Hall – The one used for the initiation events. It was mostly unoccupied, only used during such occasions.
Twe Hall – The largest and busiest, used for high-level and advanced training. It was always occupied, day and night.
Additionally, all students were given titles.
As Freshers, they all held the Nameless title by default.
By performing well individually, they could upgrade their titles and gain additional benefits within the Academy.
The ranking system was well-structured.
Academy Support: Yes. The Oppe Hall is open for personal training sessions as it is rarely used—only once every two years.
Students spent two years at the Academy before they were legally allowed to graduate and either join a Seeker faction or pursue their own path.
For now, Vorden was focused on establishing a good dynamic with his squad.
At 11 AM, they planned to explore the Academy together.
He didn't know them well yet, nor did he fully trust them—and the feeling was likely mutual.
However, he was especially curious about Damien, who remained shrouded in mystery, rarely revealing much about himself.
During their exploration, they would also have to choose faculties that aligned with their strengths and interests.
The Academy was vast, featuring numerous facilities and Guilds where squads could form alliances with others.
The second-year students seemed largely uninterested in interacting with the Freshers, but if one wanted to grow faster, they had to mingle with the more experienced students—the "old landers" of this society.
Weekly missions were available, some of which were optional, while others were mandatory.
Interestingly, stealing was legal—but only within the context of specific missions.
Certain assignments required students to steal something valuable from another squad to claim their honour.
The losing squad would be forced to relinquish something in return even after being robbed.
However, there was a strict rule: If caught in the act, the punishment was severe.
One could steal, but they must not be caught.
These missions could override normal schedules, meaning there could be no weekends or rest days during particularly active periods.
Additionally, during active school periods, no student was allowed to leave the Academy grounds.
The Academy was, in many ways, a highly secure prison.
It was currently 10 AM, so Vorden used this time to learn more about the Academy.
During his research, he discovered that the Academy's Head was titled Chancellor and was supported by five council members—a fact he was at least somewhat familiar with.
Setting the digital screen aside, Vorden sighed and lay on the bed, clearing his mind.
He had finally made it into the Academy.
"The first day shouldn't be that bad. However, my worries are more about this body," he muttered, turning his palm over and inspecting it with a focused gaze.
The diary had mentioned that he suffered from a long-term injury, yet he had neither seen the wound nor noticed any negative effects on himself.
Perhaps he should run a test on himself later.

Damien stepped out of his room just as Luminen was about to do the same.
However, upon noticing Damien, Luminen hesitated—then quickly retreated back inside his room.
Damien, unfazed, casually strolled down the fourth floor corridor where their rooms were located.
Approaching the stairwell, he had the option of using the Elevane, a magnetic lift system designed to transport students vertically through an anti-gravity rail embedded in the Academy's structure.
It required no physical controls—just a simple thought command via a student's ID chip (the black card given to them).
However, he ignored it.
Instead, he chose to take the stairs.
Upon reaching the third floor, he noticed an unusual scene unfolding on the first day.
Three boys were ganging up on another student, forcing him to organise their rooms for them.
Damien barely spared them a glance.
Not his problem.
Since this was a rest day, he saw no need to step in as a designated bully just yet.
Descending further, he reached the second—and final—floor before stepping outside the building.
Then, in an instant, he vanished into thin air.
