One Piece: Human God-Chapter 60: Daily Life: News Spread
Chapter 60 - Daily Life: News Spread
The creaking of the ship stirred Void from his unconscious state. His mind was sluggish, his body sore from the brutal sparring match against Enel. As his senses returned, he noticed something strange... something was right in front of his face.
A big, round, red thing.
Blinking groggily, Void opened his eyes slightly, only to be met with a massive red nose inches away from his own.
"Oh! He woke up!" Buggy's voice rang out excitedly.
BAM!
Buggy was launched across the room, his body slamming into the wooden wall with a loud crash. Void, acting purely on instinct, had flipped onto his hands and delivered a powerful kick straight to Buggy's face.
"AKKK!!" Buggy wailed as he slid down the wall, clutching his nose.
Shanks, who had been sitting beside the bed, immediately burst into laughter, pointing at Buggy as if he had just witnessed the funniest thing in the world.
Void, finally coming to his senses, looked at Buggy and let out a quiet, "Apologies."
Buggy, his face red and swollen from the impact, sobbed dramatically. "Y-You don't look sorry at all!!"
Void, his face as expressionless as ever, simply repeated, "Apologies."
Buggy pointed an accusing finger at him. "You're not sorry! I can tell!"
The two continued this back-and-forth. Void repeatedly offered a deadpan apology, and Buggy dramatically insisted that it wasn't sincere.
Shanks, still laughing, wiped away a tear. "Ahhh, this is too good! You really got him, Void!"
Before the conversation could go any further, the door suddenly swung open, revealing two figures.
Draco and Enel.
"Ah, you're awake, you psycho!" Enel exclaimed, striding into the room. His expression was mockingly angry, and he raised an arm, letting small sparks of lightning crackle in his palm, trying to intimidate Void.
Void, however, didn't even flinch.
Instead, he ignored Enel completely and turned his gaze toward Draco.
"So... did I pass?" Void asked, his usually confident tone carrying the slightest hint of hesitation.
Draco let out a small chuckle before giving a firm nod. "Of course. Welcome aboard my crew, Void."
Void's eyes widened just slightly. Without hesitation, he jumped off the bed, stood at attention, and saluted.
"Yes, Captain!"
For a moment, there was silence.
Then, Shanks and Buggy exploded into laughter again.
Even Draco smirked.
Enel, however, felt completely ignored.
"Oi," Enel grumbled, stepping in front of Void. "Now that you've joined Draco's crew, there's gotta be a hierarchy. I joined first, so you follow my orders!"
Void, still in his saluting posture, didn't even acknowledge Enel's words. Instead, he asked Draco, "Captain, can I eliminate this threat?"
Draco laughed. "Sure. Once you're done, come meet me at the back of the ship."
With that, Draco casually left the room.
Enel blinked. "Huh?"
BAM!
A loud crack echoed through the room as Void's fist slammed into Enel's stomach.
"GUHH~~!!" Enel's breath shot out of his lungs, his body folding like a piece of paper before he was sent flying across the room.
Although Enel had technically "won" their spar before, that was only because Void had been blindfolded. Now, with his full vision restored, the difference in power was undeniable. Enel, despite his fast reflexes, couldn't even react properly. With every movement he made, Void was already there; dodging, countering, and striking without problems.
"AHHHHHH!!!" Enel's pained screams filled the air as Void mercilessly began to beat him down.
Shanks and Buggy?
They couldn't stop laughing.
The entire room was filled with the sound of laughter, screams, and the occasional crash of Enel's body hitting the floor.
And thus, Void's first day as a member of Draco's crew was nothing short of chaotic.
[Open Seas]
The world was buzzing with activity as the News Coo spread the most shocking news the world had heard in a long time. Despite the World Government's best attempts to cover it up, the truth had made its way to the masses.
The front page of the paper had a striking image of Draco, The Human God, casually sitting on a piece of ice with a barrel of booze placed in front of him. He had just taken a gulp, his expression as calm as it was deadly. This was the same image now emblazoned on his new bounty poster.
The title read:"Fleet Admiral Kong's Death! Draco, The Human God!"
The world now knew: Draco had killed Fleet Admiral Kong, one of the most powerful figures in the Marines. And with that, the new bounty on his head was a staggering 4 billion, a number that sent waves through every kingdom, every pirate crew, and every Marine branch.
[The Moby Dick]
Onboard The Moby Dick, a whale-shaped ship sailing through the New World, the infamous Whitebeard, the "Strongest Man in the World", sat with a deeply furrowed brow, staring at the News Coo paper in his hands. His large fingers gripped the edges of the paper, crumpling it slightly as he read.
A deep grumble rumbled from his throat.
"Hmm..." he muttered, his tone low and contemplative.
Standing nearby, Marco, who had just returned from training with some of the other crew members. Noticing the intense look on Whitebeard's face, Marco approached cautiously. "What's up, pops?" he asked, panting from the exertion of his training session.
Whitebeard didn't look up but handed him the paper. Marco took it and scanned it quickly. As his eyes widened in surprise, he murmured, "That kid! ... he's didn't look that dangerous...!"
Marco paused for a moment, his usual carefree demeanor faltering slightly. He glanced back at Whitebeard, who was standing up and beginning to walk toward the main deck.
"Yeah, Pops... Huh, where are you going?" Marco asked, curious.
Whitebeard didn't answer immediately. He was focused, his heavy footstep thumping as he walked.

"To train," Whitebeard replied simply, his voice grumbly, but with an undercurrent of something deeper.
As he made his way to the deck, his mind wandered back to the time he had fought Fleet Admiral Kong. He had faced Kong in battle more than once.
Kong, with his Zoan Devil Fruit powers, had always been a formidable opponent. Whitebeard could still remember the way Kong's zoan form had taken the full brunt of his Quake Fruit powers, barely backing down.
He grunted, the memory unsettling. 'I've fought Kong... He's not one to be beaten easily, much less killed.'
Whitebeard's mind was racing. The Marines' Fleet Admiral, someone who had been an important figure, was gone, taken down by a single person. Draco. This Human God had surpassed even Whitebeard's expectations of power. With the announcement of his new bounty, a staggering 4 billion, it was clear that the world was about to change in ways none of them could predict.
The new bounty was a reflection of the sheer power Draco wielded. And it was more than just a number. It was a challenge to every pirate crew, to every Marine, and to every kingdom that had been too complacent in the face of the growing storm.
Whitebeard reached the main deck, and as he did, he turned his gaze toward the open seas. His fingers curled into fists as he thought about Kong's death and the rise of this new force.
Marco remained behind, still flipping through the News Coo. His sharp eyes scanned the pages carefully, absorbing every detail. The shocking news of Draco's bounty had taken up the front page, but as he turned to the next section, something else caught his attention.
Right below Draco's bounty was another new wanted poster, the ink barely dry.
"Enel, The Thunder God"Bounty: 500,000,000 Berries
Marco whistled low, raising an eyebrow. "Woah..." he muttered under his breath.
It wasn't just Draco who was gaining notoriety. His crew was now making waves as well. A bounty of 500 million was no small feat, it meant Enel was being taken seriously by the World Government. Marco flipped the paper slightly, reading on, and then saw something that made him sit up straight.
"Wait a sec... Looks like a bunch of the Roger Pirates just had their bounties increased too... And Roger himself..."
His voice trailed off as his eyes widened.
"Gol D. Roger, King of the Pirates "Bounty: 5,000,000,000 Berries
A new record-breaking number.
Even for the most feared pirate in the world, this was huge. Marco could barely believe what he was reading. The World Government was making its moves, issuing warnings through bounties, yet despite Roger's astronomical increase, it was clear that Fleet Admiral Kong's death overshadowed everything.
That was the true priority.
Hearing Marco speak out loud, Whitebeard stopped in his tracks, turning his head slightly with a small smirk. His massive shoulders shook as he let out a deep chuckle.
"Gurararara..." His booming laughter echoed across the ship. The crew turned their heads, watching their captain's rare display of amusement.
Whitebeard then grinned, still looking toward the horizon. "The seas... they're about to change."
Marco looked up from the newspaper, feeling the weight of those words.
Whitebeard was right.
[Another Part of The Sea]
Sengoku stood at the helm, his grip still tight on the railing, his eyes locked onto the towering Red Line as they neared Mary Geoise. The calm sea breeze did nothing to cool his frustration.
Beside him, Garp, stood with his arms crossed, a small grin playing on his lips despite the heavy mood.
"What do you think the World Government will do from here?" Sengoku asked, his voice low but sharp.
Garp let out a chuckle. "They've only got one choice. The Marines took a massive loss, so they'll pick a new Fleet Admiral, make some big statement about 'justice prevailing,' and move on."
Sengoku sighed. "Let's get a move on." He turned to the Marine officers behind him, giving orders to increase speed. The battleship surged toward Mary Geoise.
[Mary Geoise ]
The Five Elders sat in their respective places inside the grand halls of Pangaea Castle. The mood was anything but calm.
Saint Topman Warcury, veins bulging from his forehead, crushed the latest edition of the News Coo in his fists, his voice filled with pure rage.
"THAT DAMN BIRD!!! MORGAN!!! I'LL KILL HIM FOR REAL THIS TIME!!"
The torn newspaper fluttered to the floor, the headline still visible:
"Fleet Admiral Kong's Death! Draco, The Human God!"
The other Elders were equally furious, though their rage manifested in a more controlled but deadly silence.
After a tense moment, Saint Jaygarcia Saturn, the elder with an air of aged wisdom, finally spoke.
"You're correct, Saint Topman." His voice, though calm, carried a cold finality. "We have given him far too many chances."
"That bird is getting too bold," said Saint Marcus Mars, his hands steepled together. "But let's focus on the bigger problem."
All eyes shifted to Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro, the elder gripping his katana tightly, his face unreadable. Of the five, he was the one who gave "most" of the orders.
Finally, he spoke. "Of course... but we will deal with him when the time is right. For now, we must fix the important issues."
There was no need to say it aloud. The death of Fleet Admiral Kong left a void at the very top of the Marine structure. The world was watching, and they needed to move fast.
"We must choose a new Fleet Admiral," Saint Ethanbaron continued, his tone grave.
The Elders exchanged looks before the first name was brought up.
"Garp?" Saint Topman suggested.
A brief silence followed before Saint Shepherd Ju Peter scoffed. "Don't be foolish. Garp is too much of a wild dog. If he becomes Fleet Admiral, he will never follow orders. He is dangerous enough as he is."
Saint Ethanbaron nodded. "He is powerful, but he is uncontrollable. He would reject the position outright."
"Sengoku, then," Saint Marcus said. "He has a strong sense of justice but, more importantly, he follows regulations. He would be loyal."
There were murmurs of agreement. Unlike Garp, Sengoku was a man of order, someone they could control.
Before they could continue, ringing filled the room.
BZZT. BZZT.
The Den Den Mushi on the desk came to life. A Marine officer on the other end spoke hurriedly:
"Five Elders! Vice Admiral Garp and Admiral Sengoku have arrived at Mary Geoise."
Saint Ethanbaron, gripping his katana more, exchanged glances with the other Elders before giving a simple order.
"Let them in."
The call ended.
