One Piece: I'm Destined to Be the Son-in-Law King!-Chapter 240: A Wandering Person, Extremely Vulnerable

The attack on the three Celestial Dragons threw the whole Shambordy Islands into a wild mess. Pirates, gathered on the islands, were tripping over themselves to get away.

The Marine Admirals weren't after them , exactly, but running into one was still super dangerous, especially with more and more Marines showing up.

At the docks nearest to Island 33, a big group of Marines stood ready. Cavendish's fancy pirate ship had already been grabbed.

They knew that the main troublemakers, Cavendish and Zoro, were headed their way. All the Marines had to do was wait for them to stumble into their trap.

Plus, Admiral Akainu was coming! With him around, there was no way those two could get away!

A few miles away...

"Wait, not that way!"

Cavendish, riding his beautiful white horse, finally caught up with Zoro, who was totally lost. Cavendish was about to lose it himself. In just a few minutes, Zoro had wandered off course a bunch of times.

"I told you clear as day to go straight to the coast! Why do you keep going the wrong way? Are you even awake?!"

"Huh? You didn't explain it right!"

"You're blaming me?!"

"Of course! It's your fault for leading us wrong, which is why we're going so slow."

Zoro just glared, completely unaware that he was the problem. He blamed Cavendish for not giving good directions.

"Follow me! I'll lead this time!"

Zoro puffed out his chest, acting all confident. He looked around, trying to figure out which way to go, and then ran towards Island 33.

Cavendish just stared, dumbfounded.

Wait, isn 't that the way we _came from? Is this guy just a total idiot, or is he physically incapable of finding the right way?_

In a flash, Zoro was already way ahead, running as fast as he could in the wrong direction.

"Farul, get him!"

Cavendish, face dark with frustration, told his beloved white horse to catch up.

If he hadn't promised Black Hair, he wouldn't have bothered with this idiot. But he made a promise, so he was stuck seeing it through.

On the bridge connecting Island 33 to the other islands...

Roya and Aokiji were strolling along, chatting, when they saw Zoro sprinting towards them in the distance. Cavendish was right behind him on his horse.

Roya looked confused.

Why are those two running _back here instead of trying to escape?_

Aokiji saw them too. A wave of icy cold air rolled off him. "Looks like we got pretty lucky."

"Yeah, pretty lucky!"

Roya agreed. Akainu had been searching everywhere for them, and they just happened to bump into them while taking a walk.

"Crap! It's a Marine Admiral!"

Cavendish finally caught up to Zoro, but when he saw Roya and Admiral Aokiji on the bridge, he felt like he was doomed.

"Damn it! This is all your fault for running this way! We're trapped by a Marine Admiral!"

"We gotta get out of here!"

Zoro spun around and ran the other way.

Even though he wanted to fight an Admiral, there were just too many Marines chasing them. If they got stuck fighting an Admiral, it would be game over.

"Oh, my. I don't really want to catch you, but I can't let you get away."

Aokiji moved to block their path.

"So fast!"

Cavendish and Zoro were shocked.

This was how scary an Admiral could be!

Aokiji had been way back on the bridge just a moment ago, and now he was right in front of them.

"Get out of the way!"

Zoro pulled out his three swords and charged at Aokiji. The blades looked as sharp and dangerous as the horns of a raging bull.

"Three-Sword Style: Raging Bull!"

Aokiji stood still. The second the blades touched him, his body shattered into ice with a "shatter" sound, scattering all over the ground.

Zoro's eyes went wide.

"I didn't even hit him?"

It didn't feel like he had hit flesh, and his body had turned into ice!

A figure slowly appeared from the shattered ice.

"Oh, my, what violent swordsmanship."

Aokiji was back, standing right in front of Zoro. He grabbed Zoro's arm, his hand as strong as a metal clamp.

"Sorry, Green Hair."

Ice spread quickly from his arm towards Zoro's whole body.

"Damn it!"

Zoro tried to fight back, but he couldn't break free from Aokiji's grip. In a heartbeat, a bone-chilling cold covered him completely.

"Swan Lake Sword Dance!"

Just in time, Cavendish flipped over and appeared above them, hanging upside down. He spun around, slashing downwards and cutting off Aokiji's arm.

Zoro had already turned into a statue made of ice.

"That idiot!"

Cavendish grabbed Zoro and jumped back onto Farul, not looking back. They couldn't beat a Marine Admiral right now.

Roya pointed towards the south.

"Hey, go south! There are Marines everywhere else!"

"Thanks!"

Cavendish immediately changed direction and rode south. He knew that after wasting so much time, their pirate ship was probably surrounded by Marines.

Aokiji's arm grew back instantly. Watching the white horse ride away, he reached out his hand. "Oh, my, I can't let you leave!"

"Ice: Time Capsule!"

Freezing cold air shot from his palm, freezing everything in its path at incredible speed, chasing after the white horse.

"Damn it, can't get away?!"

Cavendish saw the cold air coming up fast behind them. He knew they couldn't outrun it. He grabbed the handle of his sword, ready to jump off the horse and fight.

But then, the ice disappeared!

"Keep going, don't look back. Someone ahead has a pirate ship ready for you."

It was Vice Admiral Black Hair!

Cavendish didn't hesitate. He focused on moving forward. They needed to escape Shambordy quickly, and Zoro, frozen in ice, needed to be thawed out.

On the grassy field, two figures stood facing each other.

Aokiji didn't chase after Cavendish. He just stared at Roya.

"Helping them is a serious crime!"

"Serious crime?"

Roya asked, smiling mischievously, "More serious than letting Nico Robin go?"

Aokiji's face turned cold. Ice crystals spread quickly from under his feet. In an instant, the grassy field became an ice field. If he didn't react, the whole island could be frozen.

Roya grinned, lifted his right foot, and stomped down hard on the ground just as the ice crystals were about to touch him!

"Boom!"

All the ice in front of him exploded!

Aokiji's eyes narrowed.

That wasn't Haki!

"What did you do?"

"Guess?"

Roya sneered. "Aokiji, these little tricks don't scare me. If you want to catch me, you better call Akainu. You're not strong enough on your own!"

"Black Hair Roya."

Aokiji spoke slowly. White, misty cold air came from his mouth, and two ice spears appeared in the air on either side of him.

He was a Marine Admiral! He wouldn't be scared by Roya.

Roya's voice was right next to his ear!

Aokiji's eyes widened. He couldn't see Roya anymore. His Observation Haki couldn't find him either.
