Chapter 432: Chapter 495-496—Eight Heads

Liu Feng and Rayleigh exchanged a sharp glance, a silent understanding passing between them. It was their first time working together, but Liu Feng knew Rayleigh’s experience would cover him perfectly.

"Cover me!!" Liu Feng yelled, launching into the air to dodge a vicious strike from one of Orochi’s snake heads.

Rayleigh, quick as ever, positioned himself, his swords ready to defend against any attack aimed at Liu Feng. Together, they moved as one—a deadly force, lethal and seamless.

Liu Feng’s eyes narrowed as he realized the truth. The crowned snake head was the core, the control center of the Yamata no Orochi. It hadn’t attacked them yet, keeping its cold, murderous gaze fixed. This was the key to breaking Orochi’s defense.

As Liu Feng soared into the air, his figure a streak of lightning, the crowned snake head laughed, its voice dripping with malice.

"Guhehehe!! So, you’ve discovered my weakness. But even if you find it, what can you do? You can’t get close to me!!" freēwēbηovel.c૦m

The head’s sinister laugh echoed as the other seven heads continued their relentless assault.

Liu Feng’s movements were so fast that they appeared as a blur, but the Orochi’s seven heads were somehow keeping up. Zephyr’s eyes widened as he observed the strange scene. Liu Feng’s speed, unmatched on the seas, was now being countered by something unexpected.

"Something’s not right," Zephyr muttered, his fist still hovering in mid-air after tearing through dozens of Beast Pirates. He looked toward the Orochi, his brow furrowed. "How can it keep up with Liu Feng’s speed?"

The Orochi’s observation Haki was known to be weak, and yet, it seemed to track Liu Feng’s every move. Zephyr’s gaze sharpened. "It’s the temperature perception of snakes," he realized. The Orochi, like any serpent, could sense temperature changes in the environment, allowing it to track Liu Feng’s movements despite his incredible speed.

Liu Feng’s fast, erratic movements had met their match, as the Orochi adapted to the threat with unnatural precision.

Rayleigh zipped past Zephyr, leaving behind a single sentence: "Don’t worry about those little Hellos; first cover Liu Feng and kill Kurozumi Orochi! This guy is a disaster if he stays!"

Zephyr blinked in realization, his eyes widening. No wonder the Orochi was able to track Liu Feng’s movements despite his incredible speed.

Snakes, being cold-blooded creatures, perceive their environment through infrared radiation, allowing them to sense the temperature around them. Their vision, however, was almost blind, relying heavily on touch and heat signatures to locate their prey.

The Yamata no Orochi’s eight heads acted like eight infrared sensors, covering all directions and leaving no blind spot. Even worse, Liu Feng, with his Thunder Fruit abilities, became a glaring beacon in the Orochi’s perception network. His thunderous heat signature lit up the battlefield like a blazing light in the dark.

Rayleigh didn’t wait for Zephyr’s response, already slashing the air with his sword to clear a path.

"Cover Liu Feng and take down Kurozumi Orochi!" Rayleigh’s voice rang with urgency.

Zephyr’s eyes sharpened as he processed the words. His mission had just become clear. The top priority was decapitation—take down Kaido and Kurozumi Orochi, the two sources of chaos in Wano, as quickly as possible. If they escaped, the seas would be drenched in blood.

With a fierce punch, Zephyr sent a pirate flying, the shrill wail of pain echoing through the air. Seizing the moment, he joined Rayleigh, their combined strength aimed at eliminating Orochi.

Boom!

Liu Feng, dodging with fluid precision, weaved through the relentless barrage of attacks. The Orochi’s heads moved like shadows, constantly snapping at him, making it near impossible to get close.

The sound of hissing filled the air, a constant reminder of the monstrous threat hunting him down.
