One Piece: Supreme Check-In System-Chapter 78: Demon King vs. God Knight Shamrock
Chapter 78 - Demon King vs. God Knight Shamrock
The chaotic energy was almost tangible — the aftermath of the titanic clash between The Beast of the Void and God Knight Killingham still rippling through land and sea.
Yet far from the Voidreign Kingdom's shores, another battle was about to ignite.
In the middle of the broken sea, two people stood on a big floating rock. The ocean around them was wild, and it looked like a battle between powerful heroes had torn the world apart.
On one side was Meruem, the Demon King, ruler of the Chimera Ants, his emerald aura coiling around him like a living serpent. Eyes sharp, lips curled into a slight smirk of anticipation.
On the other was Shamrock, one of the World Government's strongest God Knights — clad in sacred battle armor, a long crimson cloak fluttering violently behind him. In his grip was the Supreme Cerberus Sword, a mythic weapon fused with the power of an Awakened Mythical Zoan-type Cerberus Devil Fruit.
The air between them crackled as both warriors prepared for war.
Without a word, Shamrock made the first move.
He held his special sword tightly. It glowed with a spooky red light, and three ghostly dog heads appeared along the blade, growling softly.
"Cerberus Slash!" Shamrock roared.
With one mighty swing, a huge wave of shining sword energy burst from the blade, slicing the sky in two. The powerful blast rushed forward like a giant wall, pushing away clouds and splitting the sea beneath it, leaving a big path in the water as it sped toward Meruem.
But the Demon King merely raised a hand, his aura intensifying.
"Demon's Gate." Meruem spoke calmly.
A huge black door covered in strange, glowing symbols appeared in front of him. It opened with a loud, creepy creak, and the giant wave of sword energy rushed inside. The ocean shook and the wind howled as the powerful blast disappeared into the dark doorway.
Shamrock's eyes narrowed, sensing the threat beyond.
From the open gate, scary-looking creatures started to come out. They were huge, with red skin, sharp fangs, glowing red eyes, and wings like giant bugs. They looked like a mix between demon and ants, and each one seemed radiating deadly intent.
"My children," Meruem declared. "Feast upon the blood of the righteous."
The demonic swarm poured from the gate like a living flood, wings buzzing as they swirled around Shamrock.
Cerberus Unleashed
Shamrock took a deep breath, his expression unfazed.
"Cerberus... Open."
The Cerberus Sword came alive! Its blade cracked open, and three huge ghostly dog heads appeared beside Shamrock. Each head was as big as a ship, with sharp teeth like giant knives. Their loud growls made the sky tremble.
"Devour them."
The three giant ghost dogs charged into the swarm of evil ant monsters. Their huge mouths opened, shooting out beams of bright, cutting light everywhere! The air cracked and flashed as the shining blades of energy slashed through the creatures, sending pieces of burning monster falling into the sea like shooting stars.
Meruem watched, intrigued, as the sea boiled where the severed corpses fell.
"As expected from a God Knight," Meruem grinned. "But let's see how you handle this."
In a burst of speed, the Demon King vanished.
A heartbeat later, he reappeared behind Shamrock, his fist enveloped in a dark green Nen aura.
"Demon's Fang."
Meruem struck. The force of the punch shattered the air barrier, sending shockwaves racing across the water. Shamrock spun, his own Conqueror's Haki flaring to life in a burst of purple lightning as he blocked with his sword.
The impact created a vortex of energy, sea spray exploding in a massive ring around them.

"Your mental attacks won't work on me" Shamrock spat, lunging forward.
He swung his sword in a series of rapid, brutal arcs. The three Cerberus heads followed, snapping and howling as their spectral jaws unleashed blade storms.
Meruem dodged and weaved between them with inhuman speed. His Nen aura shifted and flexed, forming shields and claws, deflecting and parrying the attacks.
"Hmph. Haki is impressive, but it's not invincible."
With a sudden gesture, Meruem slammed his hands into the ocean beneath them.
"Demon's Abyss: Leviathan Call."
The sea responded.
A massive whirlpool formed, the water twisting and surging upward. From its center, a monstrous figure emerged — a demonic sea serpent made entirely of Nen-infused water, its eyes blazing like twin suns.
The Leviathan lashed out, its colossal jaws aiming to consume Shamrock.
The Clash of Titans
"Cerberus Rampage!" Shamrock roared.
The three-headed dog surged forward, intercepting the Leviathan in midair. The collision created a devastating explosion of water and energy that sent both combatants soaring backward.
As waves the size of mountains rose and crashed around them, the two warriors shot skyward.
High above the stormy ocean, they clashed once more.
Shamrock activated his Observation Haki, predicting Meruem's next move.
Meruem, sensing it, grinned.
"Demon's Domain."
The world around them darkened as Meruem expanded his aura, creating a sphere of oppressive Nen. Inside it, the air thickened, making movement sluggish for all but him.
Shamrock gritted his teeth.
"Impressive. But I've fought monsters before."
With a defiant roar, he unleashed his Conqueror's Haki in a pulse so intense it cracked the walls of the Demon's Domain. Bolts of purple lightning forked through the air.
"I am Shamrock of the God Knights! I fear no demon!"
Meruem charged, his Nen forming twin scythes on his arms.
Shamrock countered, his Cerberus Sword shifting into its true form — a massive greatsword with spectral flames.
They collided in a flash of light and sound, a maelstrom forming beneath them, pulling ships and debris into its depths.
The impact split the sky. The resulting shockwave cleared the clouds for miles. The ocean was left trembling, and fragments of shattered rock rained down.
In Voidreign Kingdom, Mihawk, Crocodile, and Jessie turned their gazes to the horizon, feeling the shockwave roll through the land.
"They have started," Mihawk muttered, hand on his sword.
Jessie smirked.
"The Demon King versus the God Knight. Let's see who's left standing."
