Only God-Chapter 78 - 70 Setting Sail
Chapter 78: Chapter 70 Setting Sail
Celestial Kingdom.
With the passage of time, Divine King Shan’en discovered some stars that had already awakened to self-consciousness and wisdom.
However, not every star was worthy of Shan’en’s acknowledgement. After His careful selection, He ultimately regarded two of the stars as His companions, revealing to them the ancient history and the identity of the Gods.
One was the Water God Angel.
The other was the Curse God Yikabe.
The two divine beings joined the ranks of the three Gods, gazing curiously at the scenery that the three Gods had been observing.
"Why, why are you so fixated on these Logos people?"
Water God Angel asked with slight incomprehension.
"Because only they possess reason in this world."
Divine King Shan’en replied, witnessing Dertulian and his sixty oar-sail ships beginning their sea voyage.
"Then why can’t we create other rational beings? So many creatures in this world have souls, the seeds of reason."
Water God Angel inquired again, her soul made of pure, clean water, lively by nature, filled with all sorts of whimsical ideas about everything in the world.
"Even if we created other rational beings, which of them could compare to the Logos people?"
At this point, the Prophetic God Kagawus spoke slowly:
"In this world, only they were bestowed with the earliest of reasons by their decaying father."
To Prophetic God Kagawus, the Logos people seemed like a testament, and like a crown with which the Gods crowned themselves.
In all creation, only these Logos people who believed in the father were qualified to testify to the divinity of the stars, to be the crowning.
Prophetic God Kagawus, unaware of the other divine beings’ thoughts, believed that the significance of the Logos people lay precisely in this.
Water God Angel begrudgingly accepted the words of Prophetic God Kagawus. After all, she had only recently gained self-awareness and did not understand the thoughts of the other divine beings very well.
Curse God Yikabe, on the other hand, remained silent all along. Before joining the ranks of the Gods, He had long been wordless, as if the moment He spoke, boundless curses would sweep forth.
Shan’en turned towards the view beyond the Celestial Kingdom, overhearing the conversation among several divine beings.
The words of Water God Angel gave Him additional concern.
Then, as the Divine King, He spoke:
"So, once these Logos people have converted,
we shall create rational beings belonging to the Gods upon this vast land.
Let the converted Logos people be the first among all rational beings. Should they convert to us, they rightly deserve such an honor."

Sixty oar-sail ships sailed majestically across the ocean, following the direction given by King Yarlessto. Dertulian stood at the prow, looking down into the sea, he could see the enormous dark Unihorns beneath the water, and their sharp, long horns which flashed with blue light.
Dertulian looked at these kinsmen of the Logos, with whom he had little contact, but he had heard much from the priests and understood them quite well.
He remembered what the other priests often said:
The progress of the Unihorns was much slower than King Yarlessto had anticipated.
Even though the Logos people generously taught the Unihorns technologies such as pottery, planting, husbandry, and smelting, their use of these technologies was never very proficient. Compared to the rapidly advancing Logos people, the way of life of the Unihorns had remained virtually unchanged for hundreds of years.
The only significant change, it was estimated, was in the song of the Unihorn whales. As time evolved, the Song of the Whale became so complex it was unimaginable. Initially, priests only needed to spend a decade to communicate fluently with the Unihorn whales, but now, even fifty years might not be enough to fully understand the meaning in the whales’ songs.
Dertulian watched the Unihorn whales in the water, cheerfully and strenuously escorting the fleet of Logos people. Without them, relying solely on the shipbuilding techniques of the Logos people, crossing the open sea would be impossible.
"God said, ’You are the children of now, they are the children of the future; you shall become siblings, like two grains of wheat that fall to the earth, neither lost.’"
Muttering the records from the Book of Kings and Prophets, Dertulian then saw the Unihorn whale under the water happily flick its tail.
Perhaps... God had long foreseen today’s voyage, foreseen the separation of Al’s descendants.
"We are in pursuit of God’s footsteps, yet we do not know what God has seen, what arrangements He has for us..."
Dertulian muttered to himself,
"Great God, our God...
No matter what your plan is, I am ready."
His heart settled down as the ship began its voyage and sailed steadily on.
On board the oar-sail ship, the young priest—Antion stepped out of the cabin and slowly approached Dertulian on the deck.
Turning around, Dertulian saw Antion’s figure looking like a mere ghost, extremely gaunt.
After King Yarlessto’s amnesty, the rioters were released, including Antion. However, the young priest had somehow closed himself off since the riot. Whenever Dertulian inquired, he would remain silent, as if struck by a great blow.
On the day of the voyage, however, Antion’s spirits had finally lifted somewhat.
Antion looked at Dertulian amid the crowded deck and signaled for him to follow to a secluded spot.
Though puzzled, Dertulian nodded slightly and followed.
The two went inside the main cabin, where no one could overhear their conversation.
"Dertulian..."
Antion finally spoke, his voice raspy. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
Dertulian focused on him, pricking up his ears to listen closely.
"I... have heard the divine prophecy."
No sooner had the words left his mouth than Dertulian froze in shock, time itself seeming to slow considerably. After a long while, a storm of astonishment surged within him.
"Have you gone mad, Antion?"
Dertulian’s limbs trembled as he asked in disbelief.
At this, Antion lifted his eyes, his eye sockets sunken, murmuring:
"No, no, I’m not mad, it’s truly a divine prophecy, but... it’s from another God, not our God."
"What, what are you talking about?"
Dertulian asked, stunned, wondering if Antion had eaten some hallucinogenic mushrooms that caused him to utter such words.
"The God who bestowed the prophecy calls Himself the Prophetic God Kagawus, He refers to our God as the Father, and all the Gods, including Himself, regard our God as the Father.
He told me that our God has declined, and the Gods have awakened, and He wants us Logos people to turn to the Gods."
Antion clutched his head, spilling out everything he knew in a breathless rush, leaning weakly against the cabin wall, hands wrapped around his head,
"At first, I didn’t believe Him, but over the past thirty years, He has given one accurate prophecy after another, time and again manifesting miracles before me..."
"Dertulian,"
"That might, that might... truly be a new divine being..."
