Unaware of the commotion his actions had caused outside, Pei Yan, having confirmed that both members of the Blood Fiend had been eliminated, emerged from the parallel space and stood dazedly on the open ground, looking up at the images in the sky.

In the sky above, four seemingly tangible light screens appeared before him. One screen depicted a fierce battle between Lin Daozi and an unidentified individual, another showed Saraf in combat, while the remaining two screens displayed Xia Yu and Zheng Jia Ru engaged in battle, and the return to the competition world, respectively.

These images had not appeared while Detrich and his companion were still alive. As Amendina mentioned, only by killing them could the gateway to other spaces be unlocked. Among the four light screens, Lin Daozi's advantage was the most apparent, while Xia Yu and Zheng Jia Ru were embroiled in a tough fight. Although the competition world's lights sparkled, the actual conditions were unclear, and Saraf's situation was precariously dangerous. If Saraf survived by the battle's end, he didn't mind extending help to rescue him from his peril.

His decision made, Pei Yan immediately soared into the air. As his figure collided with the light and shadow, the surrounding space began to distort, and Pei Yan instantly entered a magnificent and dazzling space passage. When the images before him vanished and the strange sensation of weightlessness receded, the sound of explosions from the ground below immediately caught Pei Yan's attention.

Looking down, he saw that Xia Yu and Zheng Jia Ru were indeed engaged in combat. Their opponent was a grotesque monster entirely unrecognizable. Pei Yan found the creature disgusting even from a distance through light and shadow. Up close, its bizarre appearance still sent chills down his spine.

The monster had a humanoid torso but was four to five times larger than a normal person, with a bloated body. It was entirely unclothed. Most revoltingly, it bore rows of grotesque mouths on its protruding belly, which opened and closed, spitting out nauseatingly viscous fluid. Worse yet, to support its enormous form, it had developed six additional legs below its body, enabling it to move sideways like a crab. Beyond its two arms, its upper body was equipped with six tentacles, flitting about under its control. These legs and tentacles were also covered with gaping mouths that would make any observer shudder.

These alone were enough to make any sane person flee in terror, and its mutated, fly-like heads with three densely packed compound eyes would trigger a breakdown in anyone with a fear of clusters.

"What... what is this thing?" Pei Yan landed beside Xia Yu, stunned as he gazed at the monster before them.

"Pei Yan! You're here; did you deal with your opponent?" Xia Yu, ecstatic to see Pei Yan's arrival, asked excitedly.

"I took care of them! Who's your opponent? What's his power?" Pei Yan sliced off a tentacle swinging towards him with his blade, watching the viscous saliva left on the knife with a sense of disgust.

"His name is Alexia, and his corresponding power is Beelzebub, a mythical figure from human legends, aligned with the gluttony power in Divine Desire. Did you see those large mouths on his body?" Xia Yu explained as she continued to fight.

"I saw them, it's revolting!" Pei Yan remarked sincerely.

"Once his attack touches your body, it extracts part of your primal energy and life force, converting it for his own use. The most troubling part is that his body can absorb most physical attacks, and the force we use against him is absorbed, only to be returned tenfold," Xia Yu said, looking at Zheng Jia Ru, who was valiantly battling the monster, her tone somber. "I'm useless. If it weren't for Old Zheng standing resolutely at the frontline with my powers, today might have been bleak even for me alone."

After hearing Xia Yu's account, Pei Yan patted her shoulder to comfort her: "Don't feel discouraged! Consider who you're up against. He's a top-tier fighter crafted by the dark forces of several planes in Divine Desire. If I hadn't secretly consumed so much special treatment in the hall, or coincidentally gained the assistance of the source body, even with my mechanical abilities, I'd have had no choice but to run from such a formidable enemy."

Pei Yan continued, looking up at the monster, "Besides, you were unlucky enough to encounter an enemy that counters your abilities. If you had faced Detrich, I'm sure you'd have taken him down by now."

Pei Yan's words were not solely for comfort. Aside from the ominous threat that Amendina's mind control might pose to his companions, Detrich's power, even with enhanced reserves, could not prevail against the superhuman, boundary-breaking strength of Zheng Jia Ru, and paired with Xia Yu, the mighty girl, he was destined only for defeat.

"Let's waste no time—since I'm here, let's finish this quickly! Let's dispose of this disgusting creature and leave this wretched place." With these words, Pei Yan left Xia Yu's side and leapt alongside Zheng Jia Ru, who was battling the creature, and called urgently: "Old Zheng, how are you holding up?"

"Damn it, I'm fine, but this thing is just damn disgusting! Ugh! Ugh! Keep this up, and I won't die from the fight but from the disgust!" Covered head to toe in what looked like a coating of transparent snot, Zheng Jia Ru reeked terribly. He looked helplessly at Pei Yan, almost on the verge of breaking down, and shouted.

Upon witnessing this, Pei Yan wanted to laugh but dared not, merely poking his friend's shoulder with a finger, saying, "You've really outdone yourself!"

"What else could I do? Xia Yu is a girl, after all. I can't let her fight this disgusting creature up close!" Zheng Jia Ru shook his head helplessly, flicking away the saliva on his face. Their prolonged inability to defeat the monster owed somewhat to its revolting appearance, which had psychologically oppressed Xia Yu. No matter how fierce and bold she normally fought, she was still a girl and was inevitably timid, limiting her ability when confronting such a horrifying entity.

"I understand! From now on, leave the fight to me, Old Zheng; you assist, and I'll attack! Let's take this monster down, fast!" With that, Pei Yan leaped in front of Zheng Jia Ru, shouting, "Old Zheng, Xia Yu! Close your eyes!"
