Our Family Has Fallen-Chapter 634 - 381: Wolf Spirit Wang Cai_1
The Wolf Spirit was a gift from the sacrificed alpha wolf. Lance had cultivated it from a wisp of Spiritual Essence so thin and indistinct it was almost formless, to the point where he could even control it with ease.
Because it was merely a mass of Spiritual Essence, without control, it was like a pre-set program. It only responded spontaneously to Supernatural attacks on the spiritual level.
But the problem was that Lance's "Sanctuary" made him fundamentally immune to any Supernatural Powers that could endanger his soul. Consequently, the Wolf Spirit's existence was actually quite awkward.
Although it was growing, it was of no help to Lance in battle.
If Wang Cai was a pet in reality, then the Wolf Spirit was like a digital pet.
But today's anomaly was something even Lance had not reacted to.
When the Wolf Spirit merged with the circle of light, it burst with intense Spiritual Essence fluctuations. To Lance, it appeared as a blinding white light.
But to Grendel, it felt like a sudden, violent disturbance of Spiritual Essence around her. This was dire for any Transcendent, so she quickly gripped her Magic Wand, using its power to withstand the impact and stabilize her own Spiritual Essence.
Lance remained immovable as a pale blue figure leaped out from the exploding brightness.
When the light receded, a Giant Wolf constructed from Spiritual Essence appeared before him.
Although it was also a Spiritual Body, the most obvious difference was its appearance.
The Wolf Spirit was nearly tangible, its fur clearly visible. However, its lower half remained ethereal, as that represented its roots in Lance.
But now, a complete wolf stood before him.
But this was not what shocked Lance. What he found even more profound was that the ethereal Wolf Spirit suddenly displayed "emotions."
It should be known that Lance had a tenuous connection with the Wolf Spirit, which had always been as blank as a whiteboard.
But at this moment, he could feel excitement and joy emanating from the Wolf Spirit.
"Holy shit! Wang Cai?" Lance suddenly seemed to realize something. The more he looked at this wolf, the more it resembled a certain mischief-maker!
This call seemed to awaken the Wolf Spirit. Wang Cai's consciousness took over, instinctively wanting to approach Lance.
However, it seemed to still be adjusting to its Spiritual Body. It intended to run but inadvertently took flight. The sudden sensation of floating threw its limbs into uncontrollable flailing, creating a comical spectacle of it seemingly battling itself.
However, this did not prevent it from stumbling excitedly toward Lance, its demeanor as animated as that of any living creature.
To Lance's astonishment, he could actually touch it. Yet, the sensation was not that of a solid object but more like a force field, producing a slight touch. It wasn't heavy but light and fluffy, like cotton candy.
This strange sensation left Lance somewhat amazed, while Wang Cai frantically pawed and licked him. Its frenzied excitement made it look less like a wolf and more like a dog.
"Alright, enough." Lance was somewhat resigned; it had changed, but not completely.
Grendel had been on guard for quite a while, thinking something had gone awry. She had not expected a Ghost Wolf to emerge out of nowhere.
She couldn't see the Wolf Spirit, nor perceive the sequence of hidden maneuvers. Therefore, even with her understanding of Supernatural Powers, it was difficult for her to comprehend this occurrence.
Why would Wang Cai, once banished to the Void, leap out again as a Spiritual Body?
It is precisely because of her understanding of Supernatural Powers that she feared them. As a Transcendent, one feels insecure. When confronting such unexpected scenarios, they would strive to understand the reasons; otherwise, danger might lurk within those Supernatural Powers.
But at this moment, she had no intention of delving deeper into the spectacle before her. With that man present, there was nothing that couldn't be explained. She wouldn't find it odd no matter what else popped up.
Lance was not paying attention to her but continued to try communicating with the Wolf Spirit.
He used to be able to control it. But now, aside from that fleeting connection, he seemed no longer able to. However, it could understand his thoughts.
It was also adjusting to this body, now free from the limits of flesh. It soon mastered the changes: its originally stiff movements became agile, the previously awkward sensation disappeared, and its actions were even more fluid than those of the previous Wolf Spirit.
While losing its powerful sense of smell, it gained Spiritual Essence perception, becoming able to observe the world from the perspective of its Spiritual Essence.
In its view, the world operated from a unique perspective. It could even sense the Spiritual Essence flowing in the air, just as life forms would exist as Spiritual Agglomerates.
To put it simply, it saw not the flesh, but the soul.
Watching its adept adjustment, Lance couldn't help but feel a surreal sense. It was like a robot whose hardware, though impressively upgraded, was still lacking something until, one day, it was suddenly injected with an AI chip.
Now, should it be called Wolf Spirit or Wang Cai?
Wolf Spirit was a name, and Wang Cai was also just a name, a moniker, a designation.
Soon enough, Wang Cai had finally mastered the use of that body. Though invisible to ordinary people, Transcendents could sense its presence. It would probably be necessary to find a host for it to reside in.
"Let's go, this affair is not over yet." Lance casually donned a piece of clothing. He was not willing to meet the people below shirtless.
No matter what, he was the Lord of Hamlet, and such a disheveled state would undermine his gravitas.
The warhorses were trained. Desensitization training gave them a significantly higher tolerance for their environment, allowing them to remain calm even amidst the thundering of guns on the battlefield.
