The next morning, John requested that Azelis he wanted go to the beach to train, and she agreed.

After having breakfast and packing lunch, they flew.

But as they streaked past the beach on Azelis’s Pet Monster, John confusedly asked. "Weren’t we going to the beach?"

"We are, of course. But not here." Azelis smiled. "We are going to a private island owned by Ouroboros Hall. There are no monsters there, though there are some resource farms, and a big empty beach where no one would disturb us."

"Oh..."

The beach was indeed awesome. Clean with even cleaner seawater as the island was away from all the contaminations from the city.

"Here are two Silver-rank resources of Blood and Metal. You’ve already made Silver-stage nexus, so you don’t really need resources to progress anymore. You can just absorb atmospheric spirit energy and do circulation to gradually increase your stats.

"However," Azelis continued. "Using resources would directly increase your speed a lot. You still have a lot of Silver Essence Coins you won from the expedition, so use them to buy Silver-rank Blood and Metal resources to train in the Silver-stage of your Monster Geno Art faster. Silver-stage is harder than Bronze, so it would take more time. Don’t rush just because the progress is slow."

Azelis handed over a flower and a fruit to John.

"Understood," John said with a nod and took the resources.

Alfred and Merc didn’t have Blood and Metal Mastery level 2 yet, so John couldn’t use their elemental energy to train in his Monster Geno Art.

As such, he would have to buy resources to reach the peak of the Silver-stage faster.

As for how much resources were required to reach there? It depended on individuals. Those with better control and efficiency would require less and John was in this category.

John closed his eyes, put both resources under his palm on the sand, and started absorbing energies from them.

As he did the first circulation, the atmospheric spirit energy also stirred and started gathering around him before absorbing into his nexus, increasing the progress per circulation further.

Azelis put a comfortable beach chair nearby and sat down after changing her battle suit into a two-piece black bikini.

Her chibi Pet Monsters wandered around, playing on the beach and in the water.

John was fully focused, and just as the chibi little black dragon was about to pull a prank on him, Azelis opened an eye. "Don’t disturb him."

The dragon burst flames from its nose in disappointment and left.

Time passed by and soon, the clock hit 11 o’clock as John was about to exhaust both resources.

They arrived here at 8 a.m., so it took John two hours to fully consume the energies of the resources.

As they turned into ashes and dispersed, John opened his eyes. Instantly, his pupils enlarged, his eyes on Azelis lying on the beach chair with superb twin peaks hidden by the black bikini.

Her streamlined curvy figure was in full glory, with one leg crossing over the other, and her hands resting on her stomach as her shining black hair from the sun’s light lay beside her shoulders.

’Fuck, fuck, fuck....’ John’s right nose-hope quite loosened a slow stream of blood just as Azelis opened her left eye and glanced at him.

Blinking once, she burst out laughing.

But it made things worse for John as her twin peaks jiggled.

’D...they are definitely D, and that plumpness...’ All the blood was rushing to his nether region, but fortunately, it was hidden by the floral shirt he wore.

"Teacher, you can’t do that..." John said as he wiped the blood off his nose and sighed.

Azelis smiling shook her head and got up. In an instant, her outfit changed as her black assassin-type battle outfit covered her.

"Alright, brat. It’s time for some combat training. Your stats increased by 5 each, so get used to it now."

John felt a bit annoyed she was treating him as a kid, even though he was technically a sixteen-year-old, but he definitely looked like in his early twenties with his height, which was taller than her and his shredded lean-muscled figure.

Standing up, he faced Azelis, taking out his pistol and revving the energy in his body, ready to use Geno Ability—Strider’s Gaunt.

Azelis’s aura was also suppressed as she kept her stats the same as John’s.

"Teacher, do you have a boyfriend or something?"

Azelis rolled her eyes. "It’s none of your business, brat. Come on, we are having a proper battle, and you’ll make the first move."

John pulled the trigger, but in the next moment, Azelis’s figure blurred. A long blade had appeared in her hand as she sliced the bullet while moving forward and arriving beside John, ready to strike his arm.

John made a nimble evasion by side-stepping, his gun already at her head.

Bang.

Azelis ducked while the bullet shot through her hair.

John felt the world turning as he got swept down by her low sweep kick and was also about to get punched in his stomach, but he used his gun as a shield against the punch while using his free hand, snapping it down before his body could and clawing hard to push himself a few meters away and shooting two bullets while mid-air before landing on his legs.

Azelis’s eyes sparkled. She dodged one while slicing another with her blade, which exploded properly, shooting shrapnel at her, but she was already gone by the time.

John wasn’t stationed. He jumped high, shooting a bullet not at her, but predicting her move while putting himself as bait.

’This brat...’

Azelis could see through that, but she was impressed.

However, she wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction of hitting her.

She didn’t move at all as the bullet struck nothing, and then half a second later, she made a dash, appearing behind John before he could land.

’Damn. Who stops like that in mid-fight?’ John clicked his tongue. ’She is seeing through my moves. I need to get better.’

They fought for a few minutes before John was exhausted, both his stamina and soul energy.

"Not bad. Other kids are definitely going to cry when fighting you in normal combat without using Pets," Azelis said as her pearl-like laughter rang. She was genuinely happy that John was such a powerful little monster with good combat sense.

"I’ll defeat...you one day," John said as he lay on his back, breathing hard with his shirt removed as he was fully covered in sweat. "It won’t be long, just wait."

"Yeah, yeah. You can challenge me anytime, brat."

Azelis glanced at John before she also sat down in her chair. "Rest for a bit. We’ll spar again later."

It took ten minutes to recover fully and around three minutes for a single session of combat spar to be over.

They sparred for an hour before John told Azelis he wanted to swim a bit. He needed to complete the main task, after all—Connect a water channel in the Monster Paradise from the ocean.

Azelis told him not to go too far or the aquatic monsters would tear him into pieces.

After swimming for half an hour and finishing the task before Azelis and John ate lunch, and made their way back to Ouroboros City on the dragon.

"I want to buy some resources of Blood and Metal attributes. Hopefully, I’d get some bargain with your presence," John said with a grin. "I’ve calculated. I need 45 stats more, and that means I’d need at most nine Blood-attributed and nine Metal-attributed resources, and 27 hours total or less, as I’m sure I’ll increase my efficiency the more I train in the Silver-stage."

"Indeed, but if you can make your Alfred reach Blood Mastery level 2, you’d save a lot of money." Azelis smiled. "I’ll get the map to you once we return, so you can choose the location you want to go. If you train your wolf to practice Blood manipulation and feed him some Blood-attributed resources, it will be able to level up Blood Mastery to level 2. Try to do that first."

"Buy them from our sect’s Logistic Hall, as the sect sells resources at the cheapest price, or if you want to bargain or trade, you can go to Tamer’s Market in the city. I can’t be seen favoring you in finance and resources in front of others when you are not my official apprentice yet."

"Gotcha. I’ll buy them myself. I’ve got enough money anyway. Anyway, it was indeed a good date today, teacher Azelis," John said with a cheeky smile.

"Yeah, yeah. Glad you had fun," Azelis said in jest with a chuckle.
