Chapter 113: Chapter 115: Forced to Cohabit (Fifty-Eight)

Ji Jingfeng heard Ji Anning call him and shifted his gaze from outside to look at her. He suddenly let out a cold laugh, "Heh, now you don’t even bother to hide things from me."

His icy sarcasm stunned Ji Anning.

Ji Jingfeng had already thrown away his cigarette butt and was striding towards the hotel entrance. His heavy steps quickened, charged with emotion.

Needing to rush back to take Yang Yufang home, Ji Anning had no time to ponder Ji Jingfeng’s words and quickly caught up with him.

When they arrived home, a shiny black Mercedes-Benz van was parked in front of the yard with Yang Yufang’s luggage on it.

Ji Jingfeng parked the car right behind the Mercedes, and Ji Anning hurriedly unbuckled her seatbelt to get out.

Yang Yufang had just come out of the house; she wore a white mid-sleeve trench coat, sunglasses, and carried her favorite orange Hermès bag—she looked bright and beautiful.

As though she was going on a trip.

Seeing this, Ji Anning felt a pang of heartache. Her eyes red, she approached, "Mom."

She walked up to Yang Yufang and hugged her tightly.

Yang Yufang pursed her lips with the tip of her nose reddening. She gently patted Ji Anning’s back before pushing her away. She opened her mouth to say something but her eyes suddenly fell on Ji Anning’s neck and her face immediately lit up with joy.

She reached out, affectionately touching Ji Anning’s face, "Look at those dark circles under your eyes. Why didn’t you sleep a bit longer? What rush brought you back here?"

Her concern made Ji Anning lost for words. Choking up, she said, "Mom, I’ll come to stay with you during my holidays."

As she spoke, she once again hugged Yang Yufang uncontrollably.

Yang Yufang comforted her with a smile, "As long as you and Jingfeng are fine, that’s enough. Don’t come to the island to see me. Such beautiful scenery, I want to enjoy it alone."

She sniffled, her own eyes turning red.

Then, she pushed Ji Anning away again and pulled Ji Jingfeng closer, "Jingfeng, promise mom to take good care of Anning."

It was not just advice; it was almost an entrustment.

"Hmm." Ji Jingfeng nodded deeply, looking at Yang Yufang’s teary eyes. His face somber, he barely concealed his reluctance.

Why should they send his mother to the island?

Even if she wasn’t born into privilege, she was, after all, his mother, Ji Jingfeng’s mother, who contributed to the Ji family.

The more he thought, the more reluctant he became, "I’m going to talk to Grandfather."

As Ji Jingfeng was about to step into the yard, Yang Yufang quickly grabbed him, "Jingfeng, don’t go looking for your grandfather."

Then, she took Ji Anning’s hand and placed it together with Ji Jingfeng’s, tearfully smiling, "If you really miss me, just hurry up and be together, have a child, get married. Then, maybe I’ll have a reason to come back."

At her words, both Ji Jingfeng and Ji Anning turned to look at each other at the same time.

The disgust in Ji Jingfeng’s eyes was unmistakable.

Fearing that Yang Yufang would notice, Ji Anning hurriedly looked at her with a smile, "Mom, don’t worry, I promise I’ll be good to Jingfeng."

Yang Yufang nodded happily, "Then I’ll be waiting to hold my grandchild."

Ji Anning pressed her lips together, giving an awkward smile, not joining in the conversation. In Yang Yufang’s eyes, she was just being shy.

Heh! Have a child? With Ji Jingfeng?

The man smirked coldly and arrogantly, his hands tucked in the pockets of his black sweatpants, his stride relaxed as he walked out of the yard.

"Sister-in-law."

At the sound of his voice, Ji Anning’s complexion uncontrollably shifted.

She turned her head, looking towards the direction of the sound, surprised by the tall figure of the man approaching them.
