Pampered by My Ex's Cousin-Chapter 1148 - 1150: Revenge and Counterattack! (Part 4)
So they simply ignored Korea’s authority, their grips not loosening in the slightest.
The butler seemed a bit hesitant. Korea had lived in the Charles family from a young age and undergone training. She held some standing in Charles’ mind and within the Charles family.
But compared to Mr. Charles’ own son...
After weighing it, he slightly nodded to Korea, "Apologies, Miss Korea, but Mr. Charles has said that whatever the young master instructs, we are to comply."
With seven or eight servants present, along with Ji Chicheng and Ji Anning, Korea felt her prideful image built over twenty-odd years was just shattered.
She couldn’t accept it, struggling like mad, "Let me go, are you crazy? Do you not know who I am?"
But how could she stand against the bodyguards of the Charles family?
They gripped her tightly.
"Slap!"
Korea hadn’t given up struggling, when suddenly a figure flashed before her, and before she could make it out, her left cheek received a slap.
Her fair cheek immediately bore the mark of a handprint.
Caught completely off guard, she was stupefied for a moment, finally reacting and glaring at Ji Anning, "Ji Anning, you..."
"Slap!"
Before Korea could finish her curse, Ji Anning raised her hand and delivered another slap, this time to her right cheek.
This time, she didn’t pause, continuing with one slap after another.
"This isn’t for nearly getting me killed; it’s for your shameless and vile actions sullying my uncle with such despicable methods."
After several slaps, both sides of Korea’s face were swollen and showing traces of blood.
Her deep blue eyes glowed with a fierce light.
The black stretched Lincoln was parked among the luxury cars, hidden well.
Inside the car, the man’s slender fingers held an unlit cigar, his similarly deep blue eyes slightly narrowed, watching in the direction of Ji Anning and the others, as he saw Ji Anning repeatedly slapping Korea, his handsome face remained expressionless.
Beside him, the attendant watched, appearing somewhat concerned, and carefully suggested by his ear, "Mr. Charles, should I stop Miss Niannian? That’s Miss Korea after all."
Upon hearing this, Charles turned his head, casting an angry glare at the attendant, who trembled in fear and quickly lowered his head.
Immediately after, Charles’ voice, cold as ice, rang out, "What’s it got to do with you? Have they caught your family, hit your family?"
The attendant hurriedly apologized, admitting his mistake, "Sorry, Mr. Charles."
Charles gave him a cold glance, no longer paying him any heed, reached for the lighter, and lit the cigar.
After a puff, a plume of white smoke slowly escaped his lips, and his gaze slowly turned back in the direction of Ji Chicheng and the others.
Still maintaining an indifferent demeanor.
...
The crowd of onlookers continued to grow, now including not just the Charles family servants, but also guests who came for Charles’ birthday party.
"What are you doing?"
Korea’s mother, Rudy Finn, rushed over after hearing the news, seeing Korea held by the Charles family bodyguards, her face swollen like a bun. Heartbroken, she rushed forward, forcefully pushing one of the bodyguards, but failed to move him.
The bodyguard’s hands still held Korea firmly; without orders from Ji Chicheng or Charles, they wouldn’t let go.
Furious, Rudy Finn angrily questioned the Charles family butler, "What did Korea do wrong for you to treat her like this?"
