Pampered by My Ex's Cousin-Chapter 781 - 773: She’s Your Young Aunt (Part One)
"Wu... Sister Wu."
Ji Anning really wanted to find a crack in the ground to crawl into.
Sister Wu looked innocent, "I knocked on the door; it was Fenfen who let me in."
And there stood Fenfen right next to the elderly lady.
With that, she simply stepped into the room, since the deed was already done.
She walked over to Ji Anning’s computer desk, placed the tray with the food down, then turned to look at Ji Anning and Ji Chicheng, "Young Master, Miss Anning, I’ve put the food here for you; I’ll take Fenfen downstairs to eat."
Ji Anning was extremely embarrassed, too ashamed to even look at Sister Wu’s departing figure.
How mortifying.
Truly mortifying, to be caught in such a... such a shameful scene by an old servant in the Ji Family’s home.
Ji Anning opened her eyes and looked at the man on top of her, annoyance flickering across her face, "Ji Chicheng, why are you still on top of me?"
As she spoke, she pushed against his chest with both hands, mustering all her strength to shove him off, then swiftly rolled over and scrambled up.
Ji Chicheng, unfazed, sat up, perching on the edge of the bed, his gaze fixed on Ji Anning’s face, his expression unchanged.
But Ji Anning could feel the intensity of his stare, making her cheeks heat up. She pouted, "You’re horrible, such a scoundrel!"
After petulantly cursing at him, she turned and walked towards the computer desk.
She glanced at the food Sister Wu had brought and frowned, "Is this what they serve us in prison?"
She turned to look at Ji Chicheng with an expression caught between laughter and tears.
There were only three dishes, all very bland: one stir-fried vegetable, a dish of salty meat strips with preserved vegetables, and what looked like less than one egg’s worth in a tomato and egg soup.
Ji Chicheng leapt to his feet, straightening his clothes as he approached Ji Anning. He glanced at the food Sister Wu had brought over.
Then he nodded with calm acceptance, "Hmm, this is very Ji Mingyue."
Ji Anning: "..."
Yes, it was indeed very Ji Mingyue, but not at all Ji Chicheng.
Pouting, she feigned dissatisfaction with the food and coquettishly complained to Ji Chicheng, "Is this what you have me eat on my first day back?"
"Isn’t eating me enough?"
Ji Chicheng frowned, his flirting done with utmost seriousness.
"You’re irritating," Ji Anning said as she reached out, embarrassedly hitting his chest.
Ji Chicheng’s hands encircled her slender waist tightly, pulling her body close against his. He looked down at her and said, "This is the third time you’ve called me irritating." 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
As he spoke, he bent down and scooped Ji Anning up into his arms.
He took two steps to the bed, tossed her onto it, then he turned and walked to the door, locking it before turning back.
His movements swift, he took off his shirt, revealing his bare upper body as he came back to the bedside, his gaze drifting over Ji Anning before sitting down, leaning an elbow on the mattress, slowly inclining his body towards her.
Half-lying beside Ji Anning, his dark eyes fixed on her.
His muscular chest nearly touching Ji Anning, adorned with scars varying in depth, were clearly visible to her.
She lifted her hand to the deepest and most startling scar, her delicate fingers gently tracing it, trembling with heartache. She raised her head and met the man’s profound gaze, her face flushed, "Uncle, your wound hasn’t healed yet; don’t move around too much."
"Mm." Ji Chicheng nodded easily, as if to reassure her, convincing her he truly agreed, caring for his own body.
