Pampered by My Ex's Cousin-Chapter 794 - 786: The Nation’s Favorite Uncle (Part 1)
She thought she might as well call Qi Helian later, because she felt no matter how she explained it, this aunt didn’t seem to believe her, and she couldn’t directly tell her that Fenfen was her and her uncle’s daughter.
The store had already been sealed off at the entrance by Qi Xiaoxiao’s assistant, and no other customers were allowed in.
Qi Xiaoxiao held Fenfen tightly in her arms, personally picking out pants for her.
"Violin."
Suddenly, Fenfen pointed upwards, and Qi Xiaoxiao followed her gaze to see two small violins on a high shelf, one pink and one blue.
After a glance, she asked Fenfen indulgently, "Do you like the violin?"
Fenfen nodded her head.
When it came to toys and snacks, she liked them all.
"Your dad really likes the violin. When he was young, he used to play tunes to cheer me up," Qi Xiaoxiao said, reaching up to take down a violin.
She took down a pink one and handed it to Fenfen.
Fenfen, finding it novel, plucked the strings with her finger, making a sound, and she was delighted, "It’s fun."
She completely forgot that her pants were still wet and cast aside the ’shame’ of having wet her pants.
"How about when dad arrives later, we get him to play it for us to listen, okay?" said Qi Xiaoxiao, kissing Fenfen on the face again. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
Ji Anning stood silently to one side, even seriously beginning to wonder, could it really be that Fenfen wasn’t Qi Helian’s child?
Look at Qi Helian’s mother, clearly doting on her own granddaughter.
’Ding’
Her phone suddenly rang; it was a WeChat notification. She took it out of her pocket and saw it was from Ji Chicheng.
"Coming to pick you up now."
Just six words. After Ji Anning read them, she replied with a ’Okay’ and prepared to put away her phone when she looked up to see Qi Xiaoxiao kissing Fenfen on the face again.
A mischievous thought suddenly arose in her heart, so she raised her phone again and took a picture of Qi Xiaoxiao kissing Fenfen, sending it to Ji Chicheng, "Fenfen’s grandma."
Ji Chicheng immediately replied, "Is Qi Helian there?"
Seeing the photo, Ji Chicheng’s first thought was whether Qi Helian was also present.
Was he jealous? A small surge of sweetness rose in Ji Anning’s heart. She hadn’t seen him jealous before.
She decided to tease him a bit.
So, deliberately avoiding a direct answer, she said, "Come over, let’s have dinner together tonight."
Expecting to keep Ji Chicheng’s interest piqued, thinking he’d be impatient and ask more questions, she was surprised that he didn’t reply to the message.
After waiting a long time without a reply from Ji Chicheng, Ji Anning pursed her lips, ready to phone him when she suddenly heard a familiar male voice behind her.
"What are you doing?"
It was right behind her ear, at a very close distance. Instinctively, she turned around to meet Qi Helian’s bewitching smile.
"Mr. Qi."
After greeting him, Ji Anning turned around.
Qi Helian was dressed in a light blue and grey plaid suit, with a pale pink shirt. The eyeliner at the corner of his eyes hadn’t been completely removed.
Ji Anning looked him over and asked, "Did you just come from the film set?"
As she spoke, she rummaged through her bag for a wet wipe, pulled one out, and handed it to Qi Helian, "Wipe the corner of your eye; the eyeliner isn’t all off."
"I had an interview this afternoon. The make-up artist is in Capital City’s film set, and today I used the TV station’s make-up artist," said Qi Helian, taking the wipe and preparing to clean his right eye’s corner.
Pointing to his left eye’s corner, Ji Anning said, "Not over there, here, on this side."
