Pampered by My Ex's Cousin-Chapter 826 - 818: Tearing Ji Jingfeng Apart (Part 5)
"Villain, you big bully."
Fenfen suddenly stepped forward, blocking Ji Anning’s path, and fearlessly looked up to curse at Ji Jingfeng.
Her unexpected bravery surprised Ji Anning; she had just been worried Fenfen might be frightened to tears.
As Ji Jingfeng closed in, his eyes seeming to blaze with anger, Ji Anning feared he might harm Fenfen, so she quickly picked her up and said to Wu Sao, who had managed to get up, "Wu Sao, take Fenfen away first."
Wu Sao took Fenfen at the fastest speed and brought her into the room.
When she came out and saw Ji Jingfeng still advancing step by step toward Ji Anning, she yelled, "Young Master Jingfeng, I’ve already called the police."
At her words, Ji Jingfeng’s footsteps halted, his fists clenched in anger beside his legs.
His purpose today had been merely to intimidate Ji Anning, not to end up at the police station.
"Ji Anning, I’m telling you, if one day I can’t have the company, I will make sure you and Ji Chicheng drown in the public’s spit."
After dropping this harsh threat, Ji Jingfeng turned and stormed off furiously.
Only after Wu Sao had closed the front door did Ji Anning let down the façade of strength she had been maintaining, walking to the couch and collapsing onto it. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
It would be a lie to say she wasn’t scared; after all, Ji Chicheng wasn’t here, and if Ji Jingfeng truly lost his sanity, Wu Sao and she certainly wouldn’t stand a chance against him.
"Miss Anning."
Wu Sao’s footsteps slowly approached.
Exhausted, Ji Anning propped her head with her hand, waiting until Wu Sao reached her side. She then cracked open her eyelids, "Wu Sao, you heard what Ji Jingfeng said just now. You’re an old servant of the family who watched me grow up, so I won’t hide it from you."
Lowering her hand, she lifted her head to look at Wu Sao, her gaze serious yet calm, "My uncle and I are blood relatives."
"Miss Anning!!!"
Even though Ji Anning’s and Ji Jingfeng’s conversation had more or less given it away, Wu Sao still felt shock, utterly shocked.
Her mouth agape, she looked at Ji Anning in disbelief.
"Yes, isn’t it ironic?" Ji Anning looked down, a self-deprecating smile curling her lips, "I am actually Yang Yufang’s daughter. Can there be such a mother in this world? For her own fame and fortune, she heartlessly denies her own daughter."
She often thought it would have been better if they just didn’t acknowledge each other for a lifetime, rather than being around and refusing to recognize her.
Ji Anning glanced at Wu Sao’s reaction, confirming the old lady didn’t know her identity before.
The old master had been more cautious than she thought. She had wondered if Wu Sao might have already known, but whether she knew or not did not matter; Wu Sao was trustworthy.
Her uncle never trusted people easily; those he did trust must be very reliable.
Still in shock, Wu Sao received a faint smile from Ji Anning, "Actually, you have been with the Ji family, and even without me spelling out the details, you could guess the gist of it."
"But you and the Young Master... you two..."
Finally, Wu Sao spoke up, hesitating, her face filled with concern.
Ji Anning knew what she was worried about and said, "We were wrong, but there’s no turning back now."
Not all mistakes can be rectified after being recognized, like hers and her uncle’s.
"No wonder," Wu Sao gradually accepted the fact, yet still felt shock. She nodded, as if to affirm to Ji Anning, as well as murmuring to herself, "No wonder the moment you stepped into the Ji family, the second lady treated you as her own."
Ji Anning said with self-mockery, "Yes, I’ve been moved by that for over a decade."
