Chapter 856: Chapter 849 Who Sent a Box of TT? (Part 3)

"Don’t trust my skills?"

Ji Chicheng’s eyebrows raised slightly, emitting a dangerous signal.

Ji Anning hastily threw away the condom in her hand, her face burning with embarrassment. This guy was really becoming more and more shameless.

"What are you doing?"

Ji Chicheng sniffed, a burnt smell drifting from the kitchen.

He asked the question but, without waiting for Ji Anning’s response, he got up and rushed to the kitchen.

"Damn it, the eggs are burnt."

Only then did Ji Anning remember she had been frying eggs.

Ji Chicheng ran into the kitchen to find the eggs had turned into a burnt mess. He quickly turned off the stove.

He set the exhaust fan to maximum and opened the windows.

The pan was still hot, as if it had caught fire. Ji Anning moved to pick it up to rinse it under running water, but Ji Chicheng scolded her, "Don’t touch it."

But Ji Anning’s hand had already touched the handle, scalding her with a ’hiss’ sound. She screamed out in pain, ’Ah’.

She drew back her hand, with the tips of two fingers turning bright red.

Ji Chicheng quickly dropped the rag in his hand and caught Ji Anning’s to check it, saying, "I told you not to move."

He rebuked her with a tone filled with distress.

Then he bowed his head and licked the scalded spot on Ji Anning’s hand with his soft tongue.

It felt like a tickle right in Ji Anning’s heart, itchy and numb, and no longer painful at all.

Watching his concerned expression, she couldn’t help but smile happily, a bit infatuated.

After licking for a good while, Ji Chicheng raised his head, "Go apply some burn ointment by yourself..."

Before he could finish his instructions, Ji Anning suddenly tiptoed up and gently kissed his lips, then turned away with a blush.

"I’m going to apply the ointment."

Watching her fleeing figure, Ji Chicheng stood there stunned, before a tender smile spread across his lips, he extended his tongue and licked the spot where she had just kissed.

Was this considered a perk?

After all, Ji Anning seldom took the initiative.

Ji Anning had wanted to cook a loving breakfast for Ji Chicheng and Fenfen before checking into the hospital, but things had not gone as planned.

In the end, Ji Chicheng took over the cooking.

This time, Fenfen’s surgery required a long hospital stay, and the things to take filled the trunk of the car.

Assistant Wu finished loading their luggage, then came over to Ji Chicheng and whispered in his ear, "Young Master, the courier has been traced back to the sender."

Ji Chicheng gave him a puzzled look. Assistant Wu lowered his voice even more, "Miss Xin."

"What are you talking about?"

Ji Anning, holding Fenfen in her arms, came out of the house and saw Assistant Wu whispering into Ji Chicheng’s ear, with Ji Chicheng’s face looking less than pleased. She asked out of curiosity.

Assistant Wu immediately straightened up, bowed respectfully to Ji Anning, and said, "Good morning, Miss Anning."

"Ji Anning, what’s in your bag?"

Ji Chicheng noticed Ji Anning, instantly observing the overstuffed large bag she was carrying.

Ji Anning’s eyes dodged guiltily, and she shook her head, "Nothing much."

"Get in the car."

Ji Chicheng saw her evasion and didn’t press further. He gave her bag another glance, called out to her indifferently, and then turned to open the car door and get in first.

Ji Anning breathed a sigh of relief. Thankfully, he hadn’t checked.

She clutched her bag tightly and followed him into the car.

The hospital arrangements had already been made; their own sheets and quilt covers replaced those on the bed.

Assistant Wu waited at the door for Ji Chicheng; he seemed to be in a rush, probably with some urgent news.
